The hot deformation behavior of Ti−6Al−4V alloy with an equiaxed microstructure was investigated by means of Artificial Neural Networks (ANN). The flow stress data for the ANN model training was obtained from compression tests performed on a thermo-mechanical simulator over a wide range of temperature (from 700°C to 1100°C) with strain rates of 0.0001 s−1 to 100 s−1 and true strains of 0.1 to 0.6. It was found that the trained neural network could reliably predict flow stress for unseen data. Workability was evaluated by means of processing maps with respect to strain, strain rate, and temperature. Processing maps were constructed at different strains by utilizing the flow stress predicted by the model at finer intervals of strain rates and temperatures. The specimen failures at various instances were predicted and confirmed by experiments. The results establish that artificial neural networks can be effectively used for generating a more reliable processing map for industrial applications. A graphical user interface was designed for ease of use of the model.  相似文献

This letter reports the surface morphology and current-voltage (I-V) characteristics of single-crystal silicon (c-Si), polycrystalline silicon (poly-Si), and amorphous silicon (a-Si) field emitter arrays (FEAs). As-deposited a-Si film has a smoother surface than poly-Si film. The surface morphology of the a-Si remains smooth even after phosphorus doping and oxidation at 950°C to be improved in emission characteristics, i.e., smaller anode current deviation among arrays smaller gate current, and higher failure voltage than those of poly-Si FEAs. Such improved characteristics can be explained by the smooth surface morphology which is kept during doping and oxidation. The surface roughness and emission characteristics of a-Si FEAs are comparable to those of c-Si FEAs  相似文献

BACKGROUND: The phase behavior of blends of semicrystalline aryl polyesters with long methylene segments (? (CH2)n? with n = 5 or 7) in the repeat units has not been much studied. Thus, crystalline/crystalline blends comprising monomorphic poly(pentamethylene terephthalate) (PPT) and polymorphic poly(heptamethylene terephthalate) (PHepT) were prepared and the crystal growth kinetics, polymorphism behavior and miscibility in this blend system were probed using polarized‐light optical microscopy, differential scanning calorimetry and wide‐angle X‐ray diffraction. RESULTS: The PPT/PHepT blends of all compositions were first proven to be miscible in the melt state or quenched amorphous phase, whose interaction strength was determined (χ12 = ? 0.35), showing favorable interactions and phase homogeneity. Although the spherulites of neat PPT and PHepT could exhibit ring bands at different crystallization temperature (Tc) ranges (100–110 and 50–65 °C, respectively), the spherulites of PPT/PHepT (50/50) blend became ringless in the range 50–110 °C. Growth analysis and polymorphic behavior in the crystalline phases of the blends provided extra evidence for the miscibility between these two crystalline polymers. Spherulitic growth rates of PPT in the PPT/PHepT blends were significantly reduced in comparison with those of neat PPT. In addition, miscible blending of a small fraction of monomorphic PPT (20 wt%) with polymorphic PHepT altered the crystal stability and led to the originally polymorphic PHepT exhibiting only the β‐crystal form when melt‐crystallized at all values of Tc. CONCLUSION: The highly intimate mixing in polymer chains of crystalline PPT and PHepT causes significant disruption in ring‐band patterns and reduction in crystallization rates of PPT as well as alteration in the polymorphic behavior of PHepT. Improved efficiency in green phosphorescent organic light-emitting diodes using a composite hole transport layer (HTL) with hole transport and exciton blocking function was investigated. Mixed layer of (4,4′-N,N′-dicarbazole)biphenyl (CBP) and N,N′-di(1-naphthyl)-N,N′-diphenylbenzidine (NPB) was used as a HTL and quantum efficiency could be enhanced from 4.3% to 8.1% at 100 cd/m2. Best performances could be obtained in the device with 50% CBP and 50% NPB in the HTL.  相似文献

To evaluate the oxidation resistance of Alloy 617 and Haynes 230, oxidation tests were performed at 900 °C and 1100 °C in air and helium environments. Scale characterizations were assessed on specimens exposed to air using thin-film XRD, XPS, SEM and EDX. Oxidation resistance was dependent on the stability of the surface oxide layer, which can be affected by minor alloying elements such as Ti and Mn. At 900 °C, for Alloy 617, a mixture of the extensive NiO–Cr2O3 double layer and isolated NiO–NiCr2O4–Cr2O3 triple layer were observed at a steady-state condition. For Haynes 230, a MnCr2O4 layer was formed on top of the Cr2O3 layer, resulting in a lower oxidation rate. At 1100 °C, both alloys showed a double layer consisting of an inner Cr2O3 and outer MnCr2O4 or TiO2. The spallation of outer layer and subsequent volatilization of the Cr2O3 layer produced a rugged surface and interface as well as internal oxidation.  相似文献

Structural evolution during heat treatment of melt spun Ti36Y20Al24Co20 alloy was studied using differential scanning calorimetry, X-ray diffractometry and transmission electron microscopy. The as-melt spun Ti36Y20Al24Co20 specimen showed a hierarchical complex microstructure consisting of Ti-rich and Y-rich amorphous phases and crystallized with two-step process. Crystallization in the phase separated two phase mixture took place in a confined mode due to different thermal stability and complex microstructure, resulting in various nano-scaled microstructural formation ranging from fine distribution of crystalline particles in amorphous matrix to fine distribution of amorphous particles in crystalline matrix.  相似文献

Weighted interference cancellation is proposed to improve the post-decoding interference cancellation detector in a convolutionally coded CDMA system. A weight determination method is presented in which the estimated information bit error probability from the soft-output Viterbi algorithm is used. Libraries consisting of more than 100 zeolite samples were prepared and examined for developing a promising HC trap catalyst. Parallel adsorptions of toluene onto the catalyst samples were conducted over a 10 × 10 array reactor under dry and wet conditions with or without a heating process three knowledge-based conditions for developing an automotive catalyst during the cold-start period. FAU and BEA type zeolites revealed a high performance of toluene adsorption under the dry condition. However, FAU type zeolite significantly decreased the amount of toluene adsorbed in the presence of water in the feed gas stream, mainly due to the hydrophobicity of the catalyst surface. Over Beta type zeolites, the toluene adsorbed was found to be considerably preserved, even after forced desorption temperature-ramping to the warm-up condition of an automotive engine. Li, K, or Ag ion-exchanged Beta zeolites seem to be particularly promising as an HC trap catalyst.  相似文献

The NP-hard component set identification problem is a combinatorial problem arising in the context of knowledge discovery, information integration, and knowledge source/service composition. Considering a granular knowledge domain consisting of a large number of individual bits and pieces of domain knowledge (properties) and a large number of knowledge sources and services that provide mappings between sets of properties, the objective of the component set identification problem is to select a minimum cost combination of knowledge sources that can provide a joint mapping from a given set of initially available properties (initial knowledge) to a set of initially unknown properties (target knowledge). We provide a general framework for heuristics and consider construction heuristics that are followed by local improvement heuristics. Computational results are reported on randomly generated problem instances.  相似文献
