Simultaneously obtaining high efficiency and deep blue emission in organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs) remains a challenge. To overcome the demands associated with deep blue thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) emitters, two deep blue TADF materials namely, DBA–BFICz and DBA–BTICz, are designed and synthesized by incorporating oxygen-bridged boron (DBA) acceptor with heteroatoms, oxygen and sulphur-based donors, BFICz and BTICz, respectively. Both TADF materials show deep blue photoluminescence emissions below 450 nm by enhancing the optical band gap over 2.8 eV through deeper highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) level of heteroatom based donor moieties. At the same time, the photoluminescence quantum yields (PLQYs) of both TADF materials remain over 94%. The TADF device with DBA–BFICz as an emitter exhibits a good external quantum efficiency (EQE) of 33.2%. Since both new TADF materials show deep blue emissions and high efficiencies, hyperfluorescence (HF) OLED devices are fabricated using ν-DABNA as a fluorescence dopant. DBA–BFICz as a TADF sensitized host in HF–OLED reveals an outstanding EQE of 38.8% along with narrow full width at half maximum of 19 nm in the bottom emission pure blue OLEDs. This study provides an approach to develop deep blue TADF emitters for highly efficient OLEDs.  相似文献

A compact and broadband MMIC power amplifier operating from 18 GHz to 35 GHz is developed for K- through Ka-band applications implementing a rigorous electromagnetic (EM) simulation of closely spaced matching networks. The EM simulation results in a compact chip size as small as 2.16 mm × 2.0 mm and isolations of less than -25 dB up to 40 GHz between neighboring distributed structures. The two-stage balanced power amplifier fabricated using a 0.25 µm AlGaAs/InGaAs/GaAs PHEMT technology has an average gain of 11 dB, return losses less than -10 dB, and P1 dB above 20.5 dBm from 18 GHz to 35 GHz. This compact and broadband MMIC power amplifier is suited for power amplifiers for most K through Ka-band communication systems such as the FSS, LMDS, and ITS.  相似文献

The effect of tap spacing on the performance of a RAKE receiver is analyzed analytically in a frequency-selective fading channel. A continuous time multipath fading channel model is used for the analysis, and the expression of the correlation between the desired signals, interference signals, and noise signals at the output of each branch of the RAKE receiver is derived for various chip waveforms. Since the noise components of each branch signal are correlated to each other, an optimum combining rule based on the maximum-likelihood criterion is derived to gain utmost performance. It is shown that the performance of the system can be improved by setting the tap spacing of the RARE receiver below the chip duration when the bandwidth of the transmitted signal is larger than the inverse of the chip duration. Also, it is shown that the normalized capacity of the system can be increased by using a chip waveform occupying wider bandwidth, which takes advantage of the increased diversity gain merits of a wide-band code-division multiple-access system at the same chip rate. We proposed a novel design concept of a mode adapter using a new parameter. The overlap integration of two adjacent mode profiles is defined as a single step loss (SSL) parameter for the characterization of optical mode confinement as well as the quantification of mode mismatch. The variation of SSL is described with two parameters. These parameters are V, a normalized frequency, and s, a differential width variation ratio. The contour for constant SSL in the V, s plane provides the optimized s curve as a function of V. The design concept with this constant SSL is shown to provide optimized adapters of minimized conversion loss  相似文献

We propose a hybrid pulse position modulation/ultrashort light pulse code-division multiple-access (PPM/ULP-CDMA) system for ultrafast optical communications. The proposed system employs spectral CDMA encoding/decoding and PPM with very short pulse separation. The statistical properties of the encoded ULP are investigated with a general pulse model, and the performance of the proposed PPM/ULP-CDMA system is investigated. It is shown that we can improve upon the performance of other ULP-CDMA systems, such as those using on-off keying, by employing PPM. It is also shown that we can improve the performance of the proposed system by increasing the effective number of chips, by increasing the number of PPM symbols, and by reducing the ULP duration. The performance analysis shows that the aggregate throughput of the proposed PPM/ULP-CDMA system could be over 1 Tb/s.  相似文献

We introduce an advanced terrestrial digital multimedia broadcasting (AT‐DMB) system that overcomes the limitation of data transmission rates of T‐DMB by doubling it with the same frequency bandwidth. In this letter, we propose an efficient algorithm which generates a scalable transport stream in AT‐DMB by multiplexing certain types of elementary streams encoded using scalable video coding and an MPEG‐surround audio coder for high‐quality multimedia services.  相似文献

The device performances of spin-coated and stamp transfer printed devices were compared. There was little difference of morphology between the spin-coated and stamp transfer printed devices. However, the stamp transfer printing process was better than the spin-coating process in terms of current density, light-emitting efficiency and lifetime. In particular, the lifetime of the stamp transfer printed device was doubled compared with that of the spin-coated device.  相似文献

Peculiar magnetic domain walls produced in Heusler alloys, which have attracted renewed interest due to their potential application to actuators and spintronic devices, are studied here using electron holography. The observations reveal unexpectedly narrow magnetic domain walls, the width of which showed perfect agreement with that of the antiphase boundaries (APB, e.g., only 3 nm). While the results can be explained by the significant depression of ferromagnetism due to the local chemical disorder, the electron phase shift indicates that ferromagnetic correlation still remains in the APB region.  相似文献
