Gallium oxide thin films were prepared by thermal evaporation and deposition of Ga2O3 on NaCl(001) cleavage planes at varying substrate temperatures, oxygen pressures and deposition rates. The structure of the so-prepared thin films was checked by Transmission Electron Microscopy and Selected Area Diffraction and also characterized by X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy and Atomic Force Microscopy, both in the as-deposited state and after different oxidative and reductive treatments. The substrate temperature proved to be most crucial for the structure of the gallium oxide films, ranging from low-contrast amorphous structures at low substrate temperatures (298 K) to nanosphere structures at higher temperatures (580 K). The stability of the films was found to be mainly determined by the interaction of substrate temperature and deposition rate. Crystalline β-Ga2O3 structures were obtained after oxidative, reductive and annealing treatments at and beyond 773 K suggesting that the crystallization is mainly a thermal annealing effect.  相似文献

P-glycoprotein(P-gp)- related resistance is one of the major obstacles in treating leukemia patients. Therefore, it is of clinical interest to find new potential modulators and compare their P-gp-modulating efficacy. The present analysis investigated the influence of P-gp modulators, such as verapamil, tamoxifen, droloxifene E, droloxifene Z, SDZ PSC 833 (PSC 833) and dexniguldipine in a leukemic T-cell line (CCRF-CEM) and its P-gp-resistant counterparts (CCRF-CEM/ACT400 and CCRF-CEM/VCR1000). P-gp expression was assessed with an immunocytological technique using the monoclonal antibody 4E3.16. It was characterized as the percentage of P-gp positive cells and also expressed as a D value by using the Kolmogorov Smirnov statistic. The efficacy of P-gp modulators was determined with the rhodamine-123 accumulation test and the MTT test. An in vitro modulator concentration between 0.1 microM and 3 microM was determined, where no genuine antiproliferative effect was apparent. Industrial robots are used in a great variety of applications for handling, welding and milling operations. They represent a cost-saving and flexible alternative for machining applications. A reduced pose and path accuracy, especially under process force load due to the high mechanical compliance, restrict the use of industrial robots for further machining applications. Test results showed that these deviations range up to 0.6?mm. In this paper, a method is presented to determine the resulting path deviation of the robot under process force by using a structured light scanner. The obtained data is compared with the CAD (Computer Aided Design) data of the machined part within a developed software module. Additionally, the developed module provides functions for manipulation, registration of STL (Surface Tessellation Language) surface point clouds and a postprocessor for program translation. The comparison is performed using a dexel discretization of each data set. Based on this comparison the robot path is adapted to improve the machining quality. This method can be applied to 3- and 5-axis machining operations. The results show that the deviation can be reduced to 0.1?mm.  相似文献

Reducible transition metal oxides are well-known promoters of the hydrogenation of CO on noble metal surfaces. In this study the promotional effect of vanadia and ceria adlayers on Rh and Pd surfaces was investigated with emphasis on the effect of the oxidation state on CO adsorption and catalytic activity. Inverse supported catalysts were prepared by UHV deposition of V and Ce on the noble metal surface (Rh(111), Pd(111) or Rh foil). After oxidation and specified reduction, the reaction kinetics on polycrystalline Rh was measured at atmospheric pressure, and the molecular and dissociative chemisorption of CO on Rh(111) and Pd(111) and the methanation kinetics on Rh(111) were investigated by molecular beam techniques. On Rh(111), the probability of CO dissociation and the reaction rate are enhanced by submonolayer VO x deposits. Local pressures between 10-2 and 1 mbar are sufficient to drive the methanation at 573 K with measurable amounts of products, accompanied by significant restructuring of the catalyst surface. Although the reaction on Rh is generally promoted by small quantities of vanadia and ceria, the reaction rates depend strongly on the extent and temperature of hydrogen reduction. The observed increase of the reaction rate by reduction up to 673 K can be correlated to concomitant changes of the structure and composition of the VO x deposits. If the reduction temperature is raised above 673 K, metallic V is partially dissolved in the bulk, and the resulting V/Rh subsurface alloy exhibits a particularly high activity. Contrary to vanadia, ceria islands on Rh promote the initial reaction only after a low-temperature reduction, but the activity decreases after reduction above 573 K.  相似文献

The paper demonstrated the feasibility of Lorentz Force Velocimetry for flow rate measurements of weakly conducting electrolytes using experimental results on salt water flow exposed to a permanent magnet system.This innovative flow measurement technique allows the non-contact determination of flow rates and relies on the interaction between a magnetic field and a moving conducting fluid.When an electrically conducting fluid moves through the magnetic field a Lorentz force is generated and acts on the measurement system.The present report provides an overview about the experimental setups and the first measurement results.  相似文献

Stimulation of antitumor immune mechanisms is the primary goal of cancer immunotherapy, and accumulating evidence suggests that effective alteration of the host-tumor relationship involves immunomodulating cytokines and also the presence of costimulatory molecules. To examine the antitumor effect of direct in vivo gene transfer of murine interleukin 12 (IL-12) and B7-1 into tumors, we developed an adenovirus (Ad) vector, AdIL12-B7-1, that encodes the two IL-12 subunits in early region 1 (E1) and the B7-1 gene in E3 under control of the murine cytomegalovirus promoter. This vector expressed high levels of IL-12 and B7-1 in infected murine and human cell lines and in primary murine tumor cells. In mice bearing tumors derived from a transgenic mouse mammary adenocarcinoma, a single intratumoral injection with a low dose (2.5 x 10(7) pfu/mouse) of AdIL12-B7-1 mediated complete regression in 70% of treated animals. By contrast, administration of a similar dose of recombinant virus encoding IL-12 or B7-1 alone resulted in only a delay in tumor growth. Interestingly, coinjection of two different viruses expressing either IL-12 or B7-1 induced complete tumor regression in only 30% of animals treated at this dose. Significantly, cured animals remained tumor free after rechallenge with fresh tumor cells, suggesting that protective immunity had been induced by treatment with AdIL12-B7-1. These results support the use of Ad vectors as a highly efficient delivery system for synergistically acting molecules and show that the combination of IL-12 and B7-1 within a single Ad vector might be a promising approach for in vivo cancer therapy.  相似文献

Nanobiotechnology is one of the fastest growing and broadest-ranged interdisciplinary subfields of the nanosciences. Countless hybrid bio-inorganic composites are currently being pursued for various uses, including sensors for medical and diagnostic applications, light- and energy-harvesting devices, along with multifunctional architectures for electronics and advanced drug-delivery. Although many disparate biological and nanoscale materials will ultimately be utilized as the functional building blocks to create these devices, a common element found among a large proportion is that they exert or interact with light. Clearly continuing development will rely heavily on incorporating many different types of fluorophores into these composite materials. This review covers the growing utility of different classes of fluorophores in nanobiotechnology, from both a photophysical and a chemical perspective. For each major structural or functional class of fluorescent probe, several representative applications are provided, and the necessary technological background for acquiring the desired nano-bioanalytical information are presented.  相似文献

The structure, morphology and composition of pure WO3 thin films deposited onto vacuum-cleaved NaCl(001) single crystals have been studied at different substrate temperatures up to 580 K and under different oxidative and reductive treatments in the temperature range 373-873 K by Transmission Electron Microscopy, Selected-Area Electron Diffraction and X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS). A transition from an amorphous structure obtained after deposition at 298 K to a more porous structure with small crystallites at the highest substrate temperatures has been observed. XPS spectra reveal the presence of W6+ irrespective of the preparation procedure. Significant changes in the film structure were only observed after an oxidative treatment in 1 bar O2 at 673 K, which induces crystallization of a monoclinic WO3 structure. After raising the oxidation temperature to 773 K, the film shows additional reconstruction and a hexagonal WO3 structure becomes predominant. This hexagonal structure persists at least up to 873 K oxidation temperature. However, these structural transformations observed upon oxidation were almost completely suppressed by mixing the WO3 thin film with a second oxide, e.g. Ga2O3. Reduction of the WO3 films in 1 bar H2 at 723-773 K eventually induced the formation of the β-W metal structure, as evidenced by electron diffraction and XPS.  相似文献
