Museum Island in Berlin – Geotechnical investigations for the overhauling and completion of the Pergamon Museum. Overhauling the Pergamon Museum on the Museum Island in Berlin is a particularly complex task concerning geotechnics. On the one hand the substratum and ground water conditions in the area concerned are very inhomogeneous and on the other hand the Pergamon Museum and its neighbouring museums are especially valuable buildings worthy of protection. The initial target of the geotechnical investigation programme was to further safeguard the substratum and ground water conditions. Here systematic investigation of the substratum was carried out based on old historical drillings in order to enable the use of innovative special civil and underground engineering procedures. Furthermore it was necessary to investigate the foundation situation of the existing buildings. The planning objective is the technical and cost‐effectively optimized choice of the required geotechnical measures for the intended overhaul and refurbishment of the Pergamon Museum. 相似文献

We report on the progress that we have made in the quality of our baseline process for the production of high efficiency soda lime glass/Mo/Cu(In,Ga)Se2 (CIGS)/CdS/i‐ZnO/ZnO:Al/MgF2 solar cells. The enhancement of the average performance level has enabled us to reach conversion efficiencies of up to 19·3% (internal measurement). The new quality initiative uses process control, optical and electrical modelling, and the critical revision of all process steps as tools for the attainment of the 19% efficiency level. Our experiments show that the compositional process window for CIGS solar cells that have an efficiency of η ≈ 19% is very wide. Accordingly, we suggest that an efficiency of 19·0–19·5% is achievable in the following compositional process windows: 0·69 ≤ Cu/(Ga + In) ≤ 0·98 and 0·21 ≤ Ga/(Ga + In) ≤ 0·38. In addition, our results show that large CIGS grains are not a necessary requirement for high efficiencies up to 19%. These findings and the partly lacking ability to correlate certain aspects of our progress with experimental parameters lead us to the conclusion that there are still some important process variables undiscovered. From this conclusion and from the evaluation of the available data we infer that there is a potential for the enhancement of CIGS solar cell efficiencies beyond 20%. Third generation wideband CDMA (W-CDMA) systems like UMTS will add broad-band data to support video, Internet access, and other high speed services for untethered devices. They are currently deployed in Japan and will be introduced in Europe in 2002. Despite sufficient RF performance has been assumed in the standardization bodies, especially in mobile devices the RF part is still a limiting factor for the overall system characteristics. Only an integral design approach including both RF and baseband functionalities makes it possible to achieve analog front-ends with sufficient performance. Palladium oxidation was studied by ambient-pressure X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy in the mbar pressure range on the Pd(111) and Pd(110) surfaces. The oxidation kinetics on both surfaces show an induction period when the oxidation rate was low at the beginning and then accelerated. The slow initial oxidation is governed by (a) the rate of nucleus formation, and (b) the rate of oxide nucleus growth. Depth profiling varying photon energy/kinetic photoelectron energy pointed to a 3D oxidation. It is remarkable that the oxidation of Pd(110) proceeds at ~100 K lower temperatures than on Pd(111). We suggest that at the high temperature required on Pd(111) nucleation is thermodynamically controlled, and therefore, the nucleation rate decreases with temperature. On Pd(110), nucleation is predominantly kinetically controlled and thus the oxidation rate increases with temperature. 相似文献
