To obtain practical information on the electroelastic behavior of poly-l-lactic acid microtweezers or catheters, a previously constructed analytical technique is used to obtain the electroelastic field solution of a poly-l-lactic acid cylindrical fiber exposed to a local electric field, which is applied through an opposed pair of square-sectioned electrodes. The numerical representation of the solution reveals the detailed field quantity distributions, their importance in the design of microtweezers and catheters, the overall deformation of such devices, and the effects of the electrode dimensions on the deformation.  相似文献

The drying characteristics of porous material in fluidized bed were examined theoretically and experimentally. The brick ball was used as the sample and immersed in the fluidized bed. The glass beads were used as the fluidizing particles and the particle diameters were changed. When the pore diameter of sample was relatively large, the fluidizing particles were adhered on the sample surface. In the theoretical analysis, the heat and mass transfers in adhered particle layer were considered. The fluidizing particles were adhered on the sample surface during the earlier period of drying. The sample temperature largely decreased when the mass of adhered particle decreased. The calculated results are in good agreement with experimental data. The diameter of fluidizing particle had a small effect on the drying time. The excess increments in drying gas temperature hardly contributed to shortening the drying time.  相似文献

To develop insulating materials with a high thermally conductive anisotropy, planarly aligned mesogenic epoxy (ME) resin film was fabricated by uniaxial coating on a hydrophobic polyethylene terephthalate substrate. Grazing incidence small-angle X-ray scattering (GISAXS) and transmission SAXS measurements exhibited that the films spontaneously formed uniaxially aligned monodomain-like smectic structures by curing on the hydrophobic substrate. Then, an in- and out-of-plane thermal conductivity of 10 and 0.048 W m−1 K−1 and outstanding thermal conductivity anisotropy of 208 have been confirmed, respectively. The ME resin films with high thermal conductivity can be applied as insulating materials for multiple-layer electrical and electronic devices.  相似文献

Waste Ponkan mandarin (Citrus reticulata) peel was used as biosorbent to extract Ni(II), Co(II) and Cu(II) from aqueous solutions at room temperature. To achieve the best adsorption conditions the influence of pH and contact time were investigated. The isotherms of adsorption were fitted to the Langmuir equation. Based on the capacity of adsorption of the natural biosorbent to interact with the metallic ions, the following results were obtained 1.92, 1.37 and 1.31 mmol g(-1) for Ni(II), Co(II) and Cu(II), respectively, reflecting a maximum adsorption order of Ni(II)>Co(II)>Cu(II). The quick adsorption process reached the equilibrium before 5, 10 and 15 min for Ni(II), Co(II) and Cu(II), respectively, with maximum adsorptions at pH 4.8. In order to evaluate the Ponkan mandarin peel a biosorbent in dynamic system, a glass column was fulfilled with 1.00 g of this natural adsorbent, and it was fed with 5.00 x 10(-4)mol l(-1) of Ni(II) or Co(II) or Cu(II) at pH 4.8 and 3.5 ml min(-1). The lower breakpoints (BP(1)) were attained at concentrations of effluent of the column attained the maximum limit allowed of these elements in waters (>0.1 mg l(-1)) which were: 110, 100 and 130 bed volumes (V(effluent)/V(adsorbent)), for Ni(II), Co(II) and Cu(II), respectively. The higher breakpoints (BP(2)) were attained when the complete saturation of the natural adsorbent occurred, and the values obtained were: 740, 540 and 520 bed volumes for Ni(II), Co(II) and Cu(II), respectively.  相似文献

Nanorods of substoichiometric tungsten oxide (WOx) were grown on W(001) substrates. Two methods for the growth of nanorods were used: oxidation of the substrate under appropriate conditions and the deposition of tungsten oxide from a tungsten foil heated in the presence of oxygen. The grown nanorods were observed using a scanning electron microscope and an atomic force microscope. The diameters of the nanorods were 5–20 nm. The nanorods were slightly inclined from the directions parallel or normal to the surface. The inclination of nanorods was explained in terms of the epitaxial relationship between WO3 crystals and the W(001) substrate. The WO3 crystals formed at the initial stage of growth act as the nuclei of WOx nanorods. We observed selective enhancement of the growth in a certain epitaxial direction depending on the method of growth, and an array of WOx nanorods was produced on the W(001) substrate.  相似文献

Anodic oxide films with nanocrystalline tetragonal ZrO(2) precipitated in an amorphous oxide matrix were formed on Zr-Si and Zr-Al alloys and had significantly enhanced capacitance in comparison with those formed on zirconium metal. The capacitance enhancement was associated with the formation of a high-temperature stable tetragonal ZrO(2) phase with high relative permittivity as well as increased ionic resistivity, which reduces the thickness of anodic oxide films at a certain formation voltage. However, there is a general empirical trend that single-phase materials with higher permittivity have lower ionic resistivity. This study presents a novel material design based on a nanocrystalline-amorphous composite anodic oxide film for capacitor applications.  相似文献

Diatomite is widely deposited in Oita prefecture of Japan. It has high natural water content but its consolidation yield stress is much higher than the overburden pressure. Oedometer and triaxial consolidated undrained shear tests were performed in this study to investigate its macrobehavior in terms of compressibility and strength. The test results indicate that the compressibility and undrained shear strength of diatomite in the preyield state (i.e., the consolidation stress lower than the yield stress) are independent of the consolidation stress level. When the consolidation stress is higher than the yield stress, however, like virtually all soils, the compressibility of the diatomite increases dramatically. Similarly, the undrained shear strength of the diatomite depends on the confining stress when the confining stress is higher than the transitional stress. Both mercury intrusion porosimetry analysis and scanning electron microscopy were performed to investigate the change of the microstructure of the natural diatomite with the consolidation stress. The test results indicate that the microstructure of the diatomite remains unchanged in the preyield state, but it changes significantly in the vicinity of the yield stress. This unchanged microstructure is attributed to the unchanged macrobehavior within the preyield state. The breakage of diatoms particles and the compression of interparticle pores between the diatom particles in the postyield state contribute to the high compressibility of the diatomite.  相似文献

We have grown GaAs nano wire structures (45 × 20 nm2) buried in AIAs layers by lateral metalorganic molecular beam epitaxy on the terraced sidewalls of mesa-grooved (-1-1-1)B substrates. The growth of GaAs occurred primarily on the sidewall of the mesa-grooves and not on the (-1-1-1)B surface for arsenic pressures greater than 2.0 × 10−3 Pa at a substrate temperature of 480°C. An (0-1-1) facet formation during the lateral epitaxy at the intersection region between the bottom (-1-1-1)B surface and the (1-2-2)A sidewall has been directly observed by real-time scanning microprobe reflection high-energy electron diffraction. The growth rate on the (0111) facet was estimated from the variation of its width with growth time.  相似文献

Introduction : Topiroxostat, a recently developed xanthine oxidase inhibitor, is expected to have fewer adverse effects than allopurinol because it has different mechanism of action from alloprinol. However, its dosage, usage and safety have not been established in patients with impaired renal function or those undergoing dialysis at the development since no studies was conducted in these patients. Methods : Cross over clinical trial using 3 months of allopurinol and topiroxostat on 27 maintain Japanese HD patients were carried out. The effects on oxidative stress status of both drugs were also evaluated by measuring oxidation reduction potential. Findings : Twenty‐five of twenty‐seven patients completed study. The mean serum uric acid levels in the topiroxostat‐treated arm was significantly lower than it in the allopurinol‐treated arm time‐dependently (P < 0.0001). Corrected oxidative stress ratio defined as biological antioxidant potential/diacron reactive oxygen metabolites was significantly increased in topiroxostat‐arm (*P = 0.0035), but not in allopurinol‐arm (P = 0.1429). No significant difference was seen in diacron reactive oxygen metabolites, biological antioxidant potential, static oxidation‐reduction potential, and capacity oxidation‐reduction potential between pre and post treatment of both drugs. Discussion : It is suggested that a low dose of topiroxostat decreased serum uric acid sufficiently to maintain it below 7.0 mg/dL in patients receiving hemodialysis.  相似文献
