The olefin epoxidation is one of the most important reactions in chemical industry. Metal oxide supports often cause drawbacks in catalytic activity and selectivity, which has been overcome by introducing hydrophobic organic groups onto the oxide supports. The present study utilizes ordered mesoporous carbon (CMK-3 and CMK-1) as structurally defined hydrophobic catalyst support. Well-dispersed tantalum oxides supported on the ordered mesoporous carbon were prepared. Their application in catalytic epoxidation of cyclooctene demonstrates that the tantalum oxide catalysts on the ordered mesoporous carbon supports show higher performances than those of the catalysts supported on activated carbon and ordered mesoporous silica SBA-15.  相似文献

The biggest issue that must be addressed in promoting widespread use of fuel cell vehicles (FCVs) is to reduce the cost of the fuel cell system. Especially, it is of vital importance to reduce platinum (Pt) loading of catalyst layers (CLs) in the membrane electrode assembly (MEA) of a proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC). In order to lower the Pt loading of the MEA, mass transport of reactants related to the performance in high current density should be enhanced significantly as well as kinetics of the catalyst, which can result in the better Pt utilization and effectiveness. In this study, we summarized our analytical approach and methods for reduction of Pt loading in CLs. Microstructure, mass transport properties of the reactants, and their relation in CLs were elucidated by applying experimental analyses and computational methods. A simple CL model for IV performance prediction was then established, where experimentally elucidated parameters of the microstructure and the properties in CLs were taken into account. Finally, we revealed the impact of lowering the Pt loading on the transport properties, polarization, and the IV performance.  相似文献

Two pairs of raw and acid-washed coal samples were prepared from Yallourn and Loy Yang brown coals, and subjected to rapid pyrolysis in a drop-tube reactor at 1073-1173 K in a stream of N2 or H2O/N2 mixture. Examinations were made on the roles of the inherent metallic species in the secondary reactions of nascent tar and char that were formed by the intraparticle primary reactions. The experimental results revealed that the inherent metallic species were essential for vary rapid steam reforming/gasification of the nascent tar/char and simultaneous suppression of soot formation. In the absence of the metallic species, the soot formation from the tar accounted as much as 15-19 and 6-13% of the carbon in coal in N2 and H2O/N2, respectively. The metallic species reduced the yield of soot to 6-8% in N2 by enhancing the reforming of tar by H2O generated from the pyrolysis of coal. In the H2O/N2 stream, instead of soot formation, a net gasification conversion up to 17% within 4.3 s was observed in the presence of the metallic species as a result of catalytic gasification of the nascent char. Moreover, the metallic species catalyzed the steam reforming of the nascent tar, giving its conversion up to 99%. Over the range of the conditions employed, a one-to-one stoichiometry was established between the steam consumption and the yield of carbon oxides formed by the steam reforming/gasification and water-gas-shift reaction.  相似文献

A fusion protein composed of β1,3‐N‐acetyl‐D ‐glucosaminyltransferase (β1,3‐GlcNAcT) from Streptococcus agalactiae type Ia and maltose‐binding protein (MBP) was produced in Escherichia coli as a soluble and highly active form. Although this fusion protein (MBP‐β1,3‐GlcNAcT) did not show any sugar‐elongation activity to some simple low‐molecular weight acceptor substrates such as galactose, Galβ(1→4)Glc (lactose), Galβ(1→4)GlcNAc (N‐acetyllactosamine), Galβ(1→4)GlcNAcβ(1→3)Galβ(1→4)Glc (lacto‐N‐tetraose), and Galβ(1→4)GlcβCer (lactosylceramide, LacCer), the multivalent glycopolymer having LacCer‐mimic branches (LacCer mimic polymer, LacCer primer) was found to be an excellent acceptor substrate for the introduction of a β‐GlcNAc residue at the O‐3 position of the non‐reducing galactose moiety by this engineered enzyme. Subsequently, the polymer having GlcNAcβ(1→3)Galβ(1→4)Glc was subjected to further enzymatic modifications by using recombinant β1,4‐D ‐galactosyltransferase (β1,4‐GalT), α2,3‐sialyltransferase (α2,3‐SiaT), α1,3‐L ‐fucosyltransferase (α1,3‐FucT), and ceramide glycanase (CGase) to afford a biologically important ganglioside; Neu5Aα(2→3)Galβ(1→4)[Fucα(1→3)]GlcNAcβ(1→3)Galβ(1→4)GlcCerα(IV3Neu5Acα,III3Fucα‐nLc4Cer) in 40% yield (4 steps). Interestingly, it was suggested that MBP‐β1,3‐GlcNAcT could also catalyze a glycosylation reaction of the LacCer mimic polymer with N‐acetyl‐D ‐galactosamine served from UDP‐GalNAc to afford a polymer carrying trisaccharide branches, GalNAcβ(1→3)Galβ(1→4)Glc. The versatility of the MBP‐β1,3‐GlcNAcT in the practical synthesis was preliminarily demonstrated by applying this fusion protein as an immobilized biocatalyst displayed on the amylose resin which is known as a solid support showing potent binding‐affinity with MBP.  相似文献

Lactobacillus casei allosteric L-lactate dehydrogenase (L-LDH)absolutely requires fructose 1,6-bisphosphate [Fru(1,6)P2] forits catalytic activity under neutral conditions, but exhibitsmarked catalytic activity in the absence of Fru(1,6)P2 underacidic conditions through the homotropic activation effect ofsubstrate pyruvate. In this enzyme, a single amino acid replacement,i.e. that of His205 conserved in the Fru(1,6)P2-binding siteof certain allosteric L-LDHs of lactic acid bacteria with Thr,did not induce a marked loss of the activation effect of Fru(1,6)P2or divalent metal ions, which are potent activators that improvethe activation function of Fru(1,6)P2 under neutral conditions.However, this replacement induced a great loss of the Fru(1,6)P2-independentactivation effect of pyruvate or pyruvate analogs under acidicconditions, consequently indicating an absolute Fru(1,6)P2 requirementfor the enzyme activity. The replacement also induced a significantreduction in the pH-dependent sensitivity of the enzyme to Fru(1,6)P2,through a slight decrease and increase of the Fru(1,6)P2 sensitivityunder acidic and neutral conditions, respectively, indicatingthat His205 is also largely involved in the pH-dependent sensitivityof L.casei L-LDH to Fru(1,6)P2. The role of His205 in the allostericregulation of the enzyme is discussed on the basis of the knowncrystal structures of L-LDHs.  相似文献

SHR/NDmcr-cp (cp/cp) rats (SHR/NDcp) are an animal model of metabolic syndrome. A previous study of ours revealed drastic increases in the mass of palmitic (16:0), oleic (18:1n-9), palmitoleic (16:1n-7), cis-vaccenic (18:1n-7) and 5,8,11-eicosatrienoic acids in the liver of SHR/NDcp. However, detailed information on the class of lipid accumulated and the mechanism responsible for the overproduction of the accumulated lipid in the liver was not obtained. This study aimed to characterize the class of lipid accumulated and to explore the mechanism underlying the lipid accumulation in the liver of SHR/NDcp, in comparison with SHR/NDmcr-cp (+/+) (lean hypertensive littermates of SHR/NDcp) and Wistar Kyoto rats. In the liver of SHR/NDcp, de novo synthesis of fatty acids (16:0, 18:1n-9 and 16:1n-7) and triacylglycerol (TAG) synthesis were up-regulated and fatty acid β-oxidation was down-regulated. These perturbations of lipid metabolism caused fat accumulation in hepatocytes and accumulation of TAG, which were enriched with 16:0, 18:1n-9 and 16:1n-7, in the liver of SHR/NDcp. On the other hand, no changes were found in hepatic contents of diacylglycerol and unesterified fatty acid (FFA); among FFA, there were no differences in the hepatic concentrations of unesterified 16:0 and stearic acid between SHR/NDcp and two other groups of rats. Moreover, little change was brought about in the expression of genes responsive to endoplasmic reticulum stress in the liver of SHR/NDcp. These results may reinforce the pathophysiological role of stearoyl-CoA desaturase 1 and fatty acid elongase 6 in the liver of SHR/NDcp.  相似文献

Pulse electric current sintering is used to prepare a compact from resinificated hydrous silk powder. Compacts with no remnant silk powders are formed with 20 wt% added water, 20–40 MPa molding pressure, and >353 K molding temperature. The latter two are much lower than those used for conventional hot pressing. No dependence on molding pressure and temperature are found in XRD or FT‐IR analysis, except for a compact molded at 473 K, for which silk fibroin decomposition is confirmed by DSC, EGA‐MS, and molecular weight measurements. The compact's three‐point bending strength depends on the molding temperature, except for the temperature at which silk fibroin decomposes. The maximum three‐point bending strength resembles that of general‐purpose epoxy resin and is much higher than that of PLA.

MAMMOS(Magnetic Amplifying Magneto- Optical System:磁畴扩大磁光系统 )是实现高密度磁光盘的有效方法。不仅能得到不依赖于磁畴长度的较大的读出信号振幅,而且还能实现超出光学系统衍射极限的分辨率。过去,为实现磁畴的复印与扩大,要对记录膜面施加垂直方向的外部磁场。而现在得知,同时施加垂直磁场和水平方向的磁场,可大幅度地提高微小磁畴的读出特性。确认采用施加水平磁场的方法,在λ =635 nm, NA=0.55的条件下, 0.15μ m的连续磁畴也能获得 BER=2× 10- 4的读出效果。  相似文献
