We present a procedure using continuous wavelet transforms (CWTs) to extract the phase information from moiré interferograms. The relationship between precise ridge detection of the two-dimensional CWT magnitude map and accurate phase extraction is detailed. A cost function is introduced for the adaptive selection of the ridge, and a computationally inexpensive implementation of the cost function ridge detection algorithm is explored with dynamic programming optimization. The results of the proposed ridge detection algorithm on actual interferograms are illustrated. Moreover, the resulting extracted phase is demonstrated to be smooth and accurate. As a result, the sensitivity of the moiré interferometry method is improved to obtain a pixel-by-pixel in-plane strain distribution map. 相似文献

Volumetric strain can be divided into two parts: strain due to bond distance change and strain due to vacancy sources and sinks. In this paper, efforts are focused on studying the atomic lattice strain due to a vacancy in an FCC metal lattice with molecular dynamics simulation (MDS). The result has been compared with that from a continuum mechanics method. The removal of Fe(III), Cu(II), and Cd(II) ions from aqueous solutions was investigated with a crossflow filtration technique. Alginic acid (AA)/cellulose composite membranes were used for retention. In the filtration of Fe(III) solutions, the effects of the crossflow velocity, applied pressure, AA content of the membranes, and pH on the retention percentage and the permeate flux were examined. The maximum retention percentage was found to be 89% for a 1 × 10?4M Fe(III) solution at the flow velocity of 100 mL/min and the pressure of 60 kPa with 0.50% (w/v) AA/cellulose composite membranes at pH 3. Aqueous solutions of Cu(II) and Cd(II) were filtered at the flow velocity of 100 mL/min and pressure of 10 kPa. The effects of the AA content of the membranes and pH of the waste medium on the retention percentage and the permeate flux were determined. For 1 × 10?4M Cu(II) and Cd(II) solutions, the maximum retention percentages were found to be 94 and 75%, respectively, at pH 7 with 0.50% (w/v) AA/cellulose composite membranes. When metal‐ion mixtures were used, the retention percentages of Fe(III), Cu(II), and Cd(II) were found to be 89, 48, and 10%, respectively, at pH 3 with 0.50% (w/v) AA/cellulose composite membranes. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Hydrogels play a central role in a number of medical applications and new research aims to engineer their mechanical properties to improve their capacity to mimic the functional dynamics of native tissues. This study shows hierarchical mechanical tuning of hydrogel networks by utilizing mixtures of kinetically distinct reversible covalent crosslinks. A methodology is described to precisely tune stress relaxation in PEG networks formed from mixtures of two different phenylboronic acid derivatives with unique diol complexation rates, 4‐carboxyphenylboronic acid, and o‐aminomethylphenylboronic acid. Gel relaxation time and the mechanical response to dynamic shear are exquisitely controlled by the relative concentrations of the phenylboronic acid derivatives. The differences observed in the crossover frequencies corresponding to pKa differences in the phenylboronic acid derivatives directly connect the molecular kinetics of the reversible crosslinks to the macroscopic dynamic mechanical behavior. Mechanical tuning by mixing reversible covalent crosslinking kinetics is found to be independent of other attributes of network architecture, such as molecular weight between crosslinks. 相似文献

In this study, in order to eliminate the drawbacks of elution step and to reach higher enrichment factors, a novel preconcentration/separation technique for the slurry analysis of sorbent loaded with lead prior to its determination by electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry was described. For this purpose, at first, lead was collected on ethylene glycol dimethacrylate methacrylic acid copolymer (EGDMA-MA) treated with ammonium pyrolidine dithiocarbamate (APDC) by conventional batch technique. After separation of liquid phase, slurry of the sorbent was prepared and directly pipetted into graphite furnace of atomic absorption spectrophotometer. Optimum conditions for quantitative sorption and preparation of the slurry were investigated. A 100-fold enrichment factor could be easily reached.
The analyte element in certified sea-water and Bovine-liver samples was determined in the range of 95% confidence level. The proposed technique was fast and simple and the risks of contamination and analyte loss were low. Detection limit (3δ) for Pb was 1.67 μg l−1. 相似文献
