In this paper we propose a contrast enhancement technique which stretches the intensity surfaces of an image to improve the quality of a digital photo. The proposed method enhances the contrast of an image by stretching the intensity surface of the original image to the maximum range of the output image. This is done in proportion to the distances between the original intensity surface, and the upper and lower intensity surfaces respectively. The upper and lower intensity surfaces are generated adaptively from the original intensity surface by gaussian smoothing and gamma transform. In our experiments, digital color images in a variety of illumination conditions were used, and the proposed method was compared with other algorithms such as histogram stretching, histogram equalization, gamma correction, and retinex. From the results of the experiments, it was proven that the proposed algorithm further enhanced the contrast more than other methods and resulted in a more natural image without deterioration of gradation.

The industrial scale application of graphene and other functional materials in the field of electronics has been limited by inherent defects, and the lack of simple deposition methods. A simple spray deposition method is developed that uses a supersonic air jet for a commercially available reduced graphene oxide (r‐GO) suspension. The r‐GO flakes are used as received, which are pre‐annealed and pre‐hydrazine‐treated, and do not undergo any post‐treatment. A part of the considerable kinetic energy of the r‐GO flakes entrained by the supersonic jet is used in stretching the flakes upon impact with the substrate. The resulting “frozen elastic strains” heal the defects (topological defects, namely Stone‐Wales defect and C2 vacancies) in the r‐GO flakes, which is reflected in the reduced ratio of the intensities of the D and G bands in the deposited film. In this paper, we present a structure called a non-leaky coplanar (NLC) waveguide with conductor backing. It is a multilayered structure with two possible configurations. The spectral domain approach with a complex root searching procedure is used to investigate leakage phenomena. The simulation results confirm that the leakage in conductor-backed coplanar waveguide (CBCPW) occurs in the form of wave in the parallel plate waveguide with infinite width. The results show that the leakage in the multilayered structure can be removed if the geometrical and material parameters of the structure are chosen appropriately. Experiments were carried out to investigate the transmission of these structures. It was found that the resonance in the transmission of finite-width conductor-backed coplanar waveguide (FW-CBCPW) is caused by the energy leakage from the dominant CPW mode. The resonance is eliminated in the NLC waveguides. These NLC waveguides are feasible and practical in the uniplanar MMIC design due to their planar nature  相似文献

Network reprogramming is a process used to update program codes of sensor nodes that are already deployed. To deal with potentially unstable link conditions of wireless sensor networks, the epidemic approach based on 3‐way advertise‐request‐data handshaking is preferred for network reprogramming. Existing epidemic protocols, however, require a long completion period and high traffic overhead in high‐density networks, mainly due to the hidden terminal problem. In this paper, we address this problem by dynamically adjusting the frequency of advertisement messages in terms of the density of sensor nodes, which is the number of sensor nodes in a certain area. We compare the performance of the proposed scheme, called DANP (Density‐Adaptive Network Reprogramming Protocol), with a well‐known epidemic protocol, Deluge. Simulations indicate that, in the grid topologies, DANP outperforms Deluge by about 30% in terms of the completion time and about 50% in terms of the traffic overhead. Significant performance gain is observed in random topologies as well. The performance of DANP is further confirmed via measurements in an experimental test bed. 利用独立分量分析的冗余取消特性,对多维加噪声观测信号进行盲源分离,得到源观测信号,实现噪声的有效消除,文章中应用此方法处理了仿真漏磁缺陷信号,实验结果表明:该除噪方法能极大提高漏磁信号的信噪比,且其效果要优于小波变换除噪方法.漏磁缺陷信号在时域上波形非常相似,很难加以分辨,而它们的危害性却大不相同,文章对裂纹和凹坑缺陷信号进行小波包分解,根据信号特征自适应的产生一组最优基来表征信号,分析这两种缺陷的时频特性,准确识别出这两种缺陷.  相似文献

The SiC metal-semiconductor field-effect transistors (MESFETs) have been reported to have current instability and strong dispersion caused by trapping phenomena at the surface and in the substrate, which degrade direct-current (DC) and radio-frequency (RF) performance. This paper illustrates the change in electrical characteristics of SiC MESFETs after Si3N4 passivation. Because of a reduction of surface trapping effects, Si3N4 passivation can diminish current collapse under pulsed DC conditions, increasing the RF power performance. The reduction of surface trapping effects is verified by the change in the ratio of the drain current to the gate current under pinch-off conditions.  相似文献

Laser Induced Thermal Imaging (LITI) is a laser addressed thermal patterning technology with unique advantages such as an excellent uniformity of transfer film thickness, a capability of multilayer stack transfer and a possibility to fabricate high resolution as well as large-area display. Nevertheless, it has been an obstacle to use such a laser imaging process as a commercial technology so far because of serious deterioration of the device performances plausibly due to a re-orientation of the molecular stacking especially in the emitting layer during thermal transfer process. To improve device performances, we devised a new concept to suppress the thermal degradation during such kind of thermal imaging process by using a high molecular weight small molecular species with large steric hindrance as well as high thermostability as a thermal buffer layer to realize highly efficient LITI devices. As a result, we obtained very high relative efficiency (by EQE) up to 91.5% at 1000 cd/m2 from the LITI devices when we utilize 10-(naphthalene-2-yl)-3-(phenanthren-9-yl)spiro[benzo[ij]tetraphene-7,9′-fluorene] as a thermal buffer material.  相似文献

A novel bias-switching scheme for a high-efficiency power amplifier is proposed. Two voltage levels for the drain bias of the RF power amplifier are generated using a combination of a class E dc/ac inverter and a class E rectifier with offset voltage. When signal peaks occur, the output of the class E dc/ac inverter is rectified and the rectified dc is added to the offset voltage by the class E rectifier, which boosts the drain bias of the RF power amplifier. Except during peaks, the drain bias of the RF power amplifier is connected to the offset voltage directly. Since the efficiency when there are no peaks is very high due to the direct connection between the offset voltage and drain bias, the overall efficiency of the RF power amplifier can be improved dramatically in high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) systems. The measured results show that the drain bias of the RF power amplifier is boosted up to approximately 1.8 times the offset voltage when the RF peaks generate. The overall efficiency of the proposed bias-switching amplifier is improved by 62% compared to that of the fixed bias amplifier in high PAPR systems  相似文献
