As one of the backup measures of intrusion prevention techniques, intrusion detection plays a paramount role in the second
defense line of computer networks. Intrusion detection in wireless mesh networks (WMNs) is especially challenging and requires
particular design concerns due to their special infrastructure and communication mode. In this paper, we propose a novel anomaly
detection system, termed RADAR, to detect and handle anomalous mesh nodes in wireless mesh networks. Specifically, reputation is introduced to characterize and quantify a node’s behavior in terms of fine-grained performance metrics of interest. The
dual-core detection engine of RADAR then explores spatio-temporal property of such behavior to manifest the deviation between
that of normal and anomalous nodes. Although the current RADAR prototype is only implemented with routing protocols, the design
architecture allows it to be easily extended to cross-layer anomaly detection where anomalous events occur at different layers
and can be resulted by either intentional intrusion or accidental network failure. The simulation results demonstrate that

This paper deals with the design of a nonlinear observer for sensorless induction motor control. Based upon the circle criterion approach, a nonlinear observer is designed to estimate pertinent but unmeasurable state variables of the considered induction machine for sensorless control purpose. The observer gain matrices are computed as a solution of linear matrix inequalities(LMI) that ensure the stability conditions of the state observer error dynamics in the sense of Lyapunov concepts. Measured and estimated state variables can be exploited to perform a state feedback control of the machine system. Technology has revolutionized medical practices by enabling more convenient and non‐intrusive monitoring of patient's health, leading to next generation ubiquitous healthcare (u‐healthcare). The exploitation of the Internet protocol version 6 addressing space along with the miniaturization of electronic devices has fostered providing interoperability and connectivity of wearable sensor devices in wireless body area networks to the Internet of Things. In this paper, we propose to integrate the IPv6 over low power wireless personal area network (6LoWPAN) to the u‐healthcare monitoring system architecture. The main objective is to study the feasibility of the 6LoWPAN‐enabled platform in real‐world scenarios dealing with medical data. The performance evaluation of this platform is carried out initially through simulations using OMNet++ and then supported by an experimental study using sensor motes and a customized micro‐computing unit. Performance metrics such as throughput, end‐to‐end delay, packet error rate, and energy consumption are investigated under acute health conditions, where patient's health information has to be sent continuously and at maximum rate to the care provider. The COVID-19 pandemic has been the world's greatest challenge since World War II. As an unprecedented global public health crisis, crisis management teams (CMTs) in the infected countries need to rethink to cope with the similar uncertainty and urgency of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The shared context of COVID-19 allows us to explore a cross-nation study of different constructs and CMT to communicate information about crises with the public effectively. Since the pandemic affected all countries, the comparison is warranted. Can CMTs mitigate the effects of COVID-19? Based on the analysis of China and the US cases, our study explores how shared and common knowledge cognition among crisis responders plays a pivotal role in effective CMTs' communication while technological failures and inadequate information disrupt the system, worsening pandemics like COVID-19. Furthermore, organizational dysfunction, such as institutional fragmentation, regulatory hurdles and bureaucratic arrogance, impede effective communication between CMTs. Small unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are becoming popular among researchers and vital platforms for several autonomous mission systems. In this paper, we present the design and development of a miniature autonomous rotorcraft weighing less than 700 g and capable of waypoint navigation, trajectory tracking, visual navigation, precise hovering, and automatic takeoff and landing. In an effort to make advanced autonomous behaviors available to mini‐ and microrotorcraft, an embedded and inexpensive autopilot was developed. To compensate for the weaknesses of the low‐cost equipment, we put our efforts into designing a reliable model‐based nonlinear controller that uses an inner‐loop outer‐loop control scheme. The developed flight controller considers the system's nonlinearities, guarantees the stability of the closed‐loop system, and results in a practical controller that is easy to implement and to tune. In addition to controller design and stability analysis, the paper provides information about the overall control architecture and the UAV system integration, including guidance laws, navigation algorithms, control system implementation, and autopilot hardware. The guidance, navigation, and control (GN&C) algorithms were implemented on a miniature quadrotor UAV that has undergone an extensive program of flight tests, resulting in various flight behaviors under autonomous control from takeoff to landing. Experimental results that demonstrate the operation of the GN&C algorithms and the capabilities of our autonomous micro air vehicle are presented. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 相似文献

In the first part of this paper, we investigate the use of Hessenberg-based methods for solving the Sylvester matrix equation . To achieve this goal, the Sylvester form of the global generalized Hessenberg process is presented. Using this process, different methods based on a Petrov–Galerkin or on a minimal norm condition are derived. In the second part, we focus on the SGl-CMRH method which is based on the Sylvester form of the Hessenberg process with pivoting strategy combined with a minimal norm condition. In order to accelerate the SGl-CMRH method, a preconditioned framework of this method is also considered. It includes both fixed and flexible variants of the SGl-CMRH method. Moreover, the connection between the flexible preconditioned SGl-CMRH method and the fixed one is studied and some upper bounds for the residual norm are obtained. In particular, application of the obtained theoretical results is investigated for the special case of solving linear systems of equations with several right-hand sides. Finally, some numerical experiments are given in order to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed methods. 相似文献

An important failure mode of offshore pipelines is ductile fracture of the pipe wall triggered by a hypothetical welding defect. In this study, pipelines having an external part-through semi-circumferential crack of various sizes, subject to combined internal pressure and inelastic bending are considered. This is done to assess the response of pipelines during both their installation and operational conditions. Detailed 3D nonlinear finite element (FE) models of pipelines are developed. A row of elements ahead of the initial crack front are modeled using a voided plasticity material model, which enables simulation of crack growth and the subsequent fracture failure mode (denoted by the critical curvature, κcrit). After discussing the typical response characteristics of such pipelines, the FE model is used to parametrically investigate the influence of varying pipe and crack dimensions, and also the internal pressure levels, on κcrit. In the second part of this paper, the crack tip constraint ahead of a growing crack in such pipes is evaluated and systematically compared to the crack tip constraint of both the traditionally used deeply cracked Single Edge Notch Bend (SENB) specimens and the constraint-matched Single Edge Notch Tensile (SENT) specimens. This is achieved by comparing the crack resistance curves (R-curves) along with stress triaxiality and equivalent plastic strain fields evaluated ahead of a growing crack of the three systems. The results present grounds for justification of usage of SENT specimens in fracture assessment of such pipes as an alternative to the traditional overly conservative SENB specimens. 相似文献

Tobacco leaves (Nicotiana tabacum L.), agricultural soil and pollute irrigated lake water samples were collected during 2005–2006 and analyzed for Cd and Ni by electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry (ETAAS). A simple and efficient procedure was investigated for the complete decomposition of tobacco leaves using ultrasonic assisted acid pseudo-digestion method (UPDM). A Plackett–Burman experimental design was used as a multivariate strategy for the evaluation of seven factors/variables at once, while central composite were used to found optimum values of significant variables. The accuracy of the proposed methods was assessed by analyzing certified reference (CRM); Virginia tobacco leaves (CTA-VTL-2). The results being compared with those obtained by conventional wet acid digestion method. The result obtained by optimized method showed good agreement with the certified values and sufficiently high recovery 97.8 and 98.7% for Cd and Ni, respectively. Under optimal conditions, the detection limits (3σ) were evaluated to be 0.019 μg g−1 for Cd and 0.37 μg g−1 for Ni. The proposed method was successfully applied to the determination of Cd and Ni in raw, processed tobacco and different branded cigarettes samples. 相似文献
