Zusammenfassung Durch die vorliegende kalorimetrische Bestimmung der Verdampfungsw?rmer des Wassers und des spezifischen Volumensv″ von ges?ttigtem Wasserdampf werden unsere früheren, bis 101 at reichenden Arbeiten bis zum Druck von 150 kg/cm2 fortgesetzt. Das Versuchsverfahren ist beibehalten; die verschiedenen an der Versuchseinrichtung vorgenommenen Verbesserungen

Melanoma is an aggressive skin cancer that has become increasingly prevalent in western populations. Current treatments such as surgery, chemotherapy, and high-dose radiation have had limited success, often failing to treat late stage, metastatic melanoma. Alternative strategies such as immunotherapies have been successful in treating a small percentage of patients with metastatic disease, although these treatments to date have not been proven to enhance overall survival. Several melanoma antigens (Ags) proposed as targets for immunotherapeutics include tyrosinase, NY-ESO-1, gp-100, and Mart-1, all of which contain both human leukocyte antigen (HLA) class I and class II-restricted epitopes necessary for immune recognition. We have previously shown that an enzyme, gamma-IFN-inducible lysosomal thiol-reductase (GILT), is abundantly expressed in professional Ag presenting cells (APCs), but absent or expressed at greatly reduced levels in many human melanomas. In the current study, we report that increased GILT expression generates a greater pool of antigenic peptides in melanoma cells for enhanced CD4+ T cell recognition. Our results suggest that the induction of GILT in human melanoma cells could aid in the development of a novel whole-cell vaccine for the enhancement of immune recognition of metastatic melanoma. 相似文献

The 1100°C isothermal section and the isopleths at 5, 10, and 15 at.% C in the Ti–Si–C system were determined by DTA and XRD methods. Five invariant reactions (L (liquid) = Si + SiC + TiSi2 at 1330°C, L = TiSi + TiSi2 + Ti5 Si3 C x at 1485°C, L + Ti5 Si3 C x = Ti3 SiC2 + TiSi2 at 1485°C, L + Ti3 SiC2 = TiSi2 + SiC at 1473°C, and L + TiC = bcc-(Ti) + Ti5 Si3 C x at 1341°C) were observed. The transition temperature for L + TiC = Ti3 SiC2 + SiC was measured by the Pirani technique. Optimized thermodynamic parameters for the Ti–Si–C system were then obtained by means of the CALPHAD (calculation of phase diagrams) method applied to the present experimental results and reliable literature data. Yttrium silicates are promising materials for improved oxidation and erosion protection for carbon fiber-reinforced composites. A two-layer coating system of low-pressure plasma-sprayed yttrium silicate on chemical vapor deposition-SiC-precoated C/C–SiC was tested under atmospheric re-entry conditions simulated within a plasma wind tunnel test facility. The thermal expansion behavior of Y2 SiO5 and Y2 Si2 O7 was investigated. The chemical compatibility with and without increasing oxygen partial pressure at the interface of the two-layer system was calculated by the CALPHAD method. The calculations were compared with experimental results. Furthermore, a thermodynamic explanation is presented to understand and predict the observed coating failure mechanism, identified as blister formation. 相似文献

In this work, two materials for secondary lithium battery cathodes formed by polyaniline-V2O5 and sulfonated polyaniline-V2O5, which have a higher charge capacity than the V2O5 xerogel, were synthesized. X-ray absorption and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopies were employed to analyze the short-range interactions in these materials. Based on these experiments, it was possible to observe significant differences in the symmetry of the VO5 units, and this was attributed to the intimate contact between V2O5 and the polymers, and to some flexibility of the VO5 square pyramids due to the low range order of the nanocomposites. 相似文献
