Modern production systems require multiple manufacturing centers—usually distributed among different locations—where the outcomes of each center need to be assembled to generate the final product. This paper discusses the distributed assembly permutation flow‐shop scheduling problem, which consists of two stages: the first stage is composed of several production factories, each of them with a flow‐shop configuration; in the second stage, the outcomes of each flow‐shop are assembled into a final product. The goal here is to minimize the makespan of the entire manufacturing process. With this objective in mind, we present an efficient and parameter‐less algorithm that makes use of a biased‐randomized iterated local search metaheuristic. The efficiency of the proposed method is evaluated through the analysis of an extensive set of computational experiments. The results show that our algorithm offers excellent performance when compared with other state‐of‐the‐art approaches, obtaining several new best solutions.  相似文献

Urea–formaldehyde (UF) capsules were synthesized in micro and nano sizes, containing linseed oil (LO). The micro- and nanocapsules were incorporated through epoxy coatings and the coatings were applied on C-steel panels. Then the self-healing performance of the coatings was investigated. The corrosion resistance, adhesion strength and its retaining after immersion of nanocapsule incorporated coatings were compared with the optimum microcapsule incorporated ones.  相似文献

Tung oil: An autonomous repairing agent for self-healing epoxy coatings   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
The capability of the encapsulated Tung oil was investigated as a scratch healing agent for self-healing coatings. Encapsulation of Tung oil with urea–formaldehyde shell was carried out by in situ polymerization. Before the mechanical agitation of microcapsules into epoxy resin, their characteristics were evaluated by scanning electron microscope (SEM) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). Released Tung oil from ruptured microcapsules healed the artificial scratch in the coating matrix successfully. Corrosion resistance of healed area was evaluated by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and immersion test; and the results were compared with neat epoxy coating.  相似文献

In the present work, a mathematical model was developed based on finite difference method to predict the microporosity distribution in A356 aluminum alloy casting. Heat, mass, and gas conservation equations were solved in this model. Moreover, Darcy’s equation was considered in the mushy zone. Results show that the distribution and concentration of microporosities in cast parts vary with both cooling rate and initial gas content. Simulation results were compared with experimental data where proportionally good agreement with experimental results was found. Finally, a complex cast part was simulated presenting the ability of the model to predict the porosities in industrial cast parts.  相似文献

The structural response of reinforced‐soil wall systems with more than one reinforcement type (nonuniform reinforcement) is investigated using a numerical approach. The selected reinforcement types and mechanical properties represent actual polyester geogrid and woven wire mesh products. The model walls are mainly of wrapped‐face type and have different reinforcement lengths, arrangements, and stiffness values. Additional wall models with tiered and vertical gabion facings are included for comparison purposes. The numerical simulation of wall models has been carried out using a finite difference‐based program and includes sequential construction of the wall and placement of reinforcement at uniform vertical spacing followed by a sloped surcharge. The wall lateral displacements and backcalculated lateral earth pressure coefficient behind the facing in all nonuniform reinforcement wall models show a clear dependence on relative stiffness values of reinforcement layers at different elevations. An equation is proposed that can be used to predict the maximum reinforcement load in nonuniform reinforced wrapped‐face walls of given backfill types and reinforcement configurations similar to those investigated in this study.  相似文献

The usage of active electrocatalysts is a useful approach to accelerate the kinetics of electrochemical reactions and to enhance the efficiency of water splitting. To fabricate active electrocatalysts, the creation of new structures that can be easily constructed has always been a research interest. Ni–Fe based alloys are generally known as active OER catalyst. However, in this study, a novel Ni–Fe micro/nano urchin-like structure is reported to be active for both HER and OER. This is the first report of the fabrication of this morphology by a fast, one-step, and affordable electrodeposition method as an efficient HER/OER electrocatalyst. The optimized Ni–Fe coating on Cu substrate demonstrated promising HER activity with low overpotentials of ?124 and ?243 mV at the current densities of ?10 and ?100 mA cm?2, respectively. Moreover, the fabricated Ni–Fe urchin-like catalyst is highly active toward OER, requiring overpotentials of only 292 and 374 mV to deliver 10 and 100 mA cm?2. The unique structure of the synthesized coating with an abundant number of micro/nano-scale cones is suggested to play a vital role in the superior HER/OER activity of the catalyst. This article introduces a cost-effective method for the fabrication of a novel urchin-like Ni–Fe alloy as a highly active bifunctional water splitting electrocatalyst.  相似文献

Severe multipath in indoor areas causes undetected direct path (UDP) conditions, which pose a serious challenge to the design of robust precision indoor geolocation systems. Based on a scenario on the third floor of the Atwater Kent Laboratory at the Worcester Polytechnic Institute, we explain the reason for frequent absence of direct path, and introduce and analyze the effectiveness of two novel approaches to mitigating the large ranging errors caused by UDP conditions. The first technique exploits nondirect paths for ranging, while the second approach relies on cooperative localization for wireless sensor and ad hoc networks  相似文献

This paper addresses the problem of robust controller design for a class of discrete-time switching systems with input saturation. To this aim, the composite nonlinear feedback method is extended to design a robust controller with improved performances in terms of the response speed and overshoot in the presence of disturbances and input saturation. The proposed approach is theoretically analysed and its closed-loop stability is proved. Then, the performance of the proposed method is verified using numerical simulations.  相似文献

In this paper, heat transfer and flow analysis for a non-Newtonian third grade nanofluid flow in porous medium of a hollow vessel in presence of magnetic field are simulated analytically and numerically. Blood is considered as the base third grade non-Newtonian fluid and gold (Au) as nanoparticles are added to it. The viscosity of nanofluid is considered a function of temperature as Vogel's model. Least Square Method (LSM), Galerkin method (GM) and fourth-order Runge–Kutta numerical method (NUM) are used to solve the present problem. The influences of the some physical parameters such as Brownian motion and thermophoresis parameters on non-dimensional velocity and temperature profiles are considered. The results show that increasing the thermophoresis parameter (Nt) caused an increase in temperature values in whole domain and an increase in nanoparticles concentration just near the inner wall of vessel. Furthermore by increasing the MHD parameter, velocity profiles decreased due to magnetic field effect.  相似文献

Data envelopment analysis (DEA) is a widely used mathematical programming approach for comparing the input and output of a set of comparable decision‐making units (DMUs) by evaluating their relative efficiency. The traditional DEA methods require accurate measurement of both the inputs and outputs. However, the real evaluation of the DMUs is often characterized by imprecision and uncertainty in data definitions and measurements. The development of fuzzy DEA (FDEA) with imprecise and ambiguous data has extended the scope of application for efficiency measurement. The purpose of this paper is to develop a fuzzy DEA framework with a BCC model for measuring crisp and interval efficiencies in fuzzy environments. We use an α‐level approach to convert the fuzzy Banker, Charnes, and Cooper (BCC) (variable returns to scale) model into an interval programming model. Instead of comparing the equality (or inequality) of the two intervals, we define a variable in the interval to satisfy our constraints and maximize the efficiency value. We present a numerical example to show the similarities and differences between our solution and the solutions obtained from four fuzzy DEA methods in the literature. In addition, a case study for NATO enlargement is presented to illustrate the applicability of the proposed method.  相似文献
