industrial regions. The most radical and most promising approach to the agglomeration of waste materials that exist in the
form of fines — and in some cases the only viable approach — is briquetting with the use of binders. A technology developed
by the organization BRIK-92 has been adapted to the processes used to briquet screenings (0–10 mm), fine fractions of ferromanganese,
ferrotitanium, and ferrosilicon, and mixtures of these fines.

Existing vertical continuous casters have outlived their normal service life of 30–35 yrs, and they are physically worn out
and technically obsolete. This limits the possibilities for using them to cast metal that goes into products intended for
critical applications (thick plates, ship plate, skelp for gas and oil pipelines, etc.). However, there are several technical
and technogical innovations that could be used to rebuild these units. One example is the reconstruction of the vertical caster
used by Severstal’ to cast slabs in its electric steelmaking shop. Severstal’ itself, the Korad Corporation, and the company
Ormeto-YuUMZ were the main organizations involved in the design, rebuilding, and startup of the modernized caster.

In the present work, the Hopfield neural network model with infinite-range interactions was simulated by using the Wang-Landau algorithm. All simulations and measurements were done in the replica symmetric and broken regions of the model with discrete ?1 values of random variables.
