Exogenously delivered mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) are therapeutically beneficial owing to their paracrine effect; they secrete various cytokines, nucleic acids, and proteins. Multiple bioengineering techniques can help MSC cultures to release secretomes by providing stem cell niche-like conditions (both structurally and functionally). Various scaffolds mimic the natural extracellular matrix (ECM) using both natural and synthetic polymers, providing favorable environments for MSC proliferation and differentiation. Depending on material properties, either topographically or elastically structured scaffolds can be fabricated. Three-dimensional scaffolds have tunable substrate rigidities and structures, aiding MSC cultivation. Decellularized ECM-derived hydrogels are similar to the natural ECM, thus improving the paracrine effects of MSCs. Here, we discuss recent research on the application of scaffolds to maximize the immunomodulatory function of MSCs. 相似文献

This paper proposes a configuration of a single‐phase voltage source inverter that features power decoupling capability. Generally, the converter connected to a single‐phase grid employs bulky dc link capacitors such as electrolytic capacitors in order to decouple the power ripple with twice the frequency of the power supply. The power ripple in the proposed circuit is compensated by an active buffer with small capacitors. In this paper, the fundamental operations of the proposed converter are confirmed by experimental results. From the experimental results, the output current total harmonic distortion (THD) is 3.51%, the ratio of the input current is 14.3%, and the output power factor is over 99%. In addition, the volume of the proposed circuit is reduced by 61% when the carrier frequency is 64 kHz compared to that with a carrier frequency of 16 kHz. Finally, from an evaluation of the power density using Pareto front curves, the proposed circuit achieves high power density in comparison with the conventional circuit. 相似文献

Erosion of tubes in tube bundles by particles suspended in gas flows is a major problem in the power industry. In this paper, a numerical study has been conducted for the flow of a dilute particle-laden gas moving past two row in-line tubes undergoing erosion. An orthogonal-curvilinear co-ordinate system was used to calculate turbulent flow around the tubes. The prediction of particle trajectories took into account the effect of the turbulence with a stochastic particle dispersion model. The results from this study included the distributions of particle collision frequency and erosion damage of tube surfaces. 相似文献

The dental zirconia–leucite composites were synthesized by high temperature solid-state method using potash feldspar, potassium
carbonate and zirconia as raw materials. The mechanical properties and the coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) of the prepared
zirconia–leucite composites were tested. The results show that the bending strength, the fracture toughness and the metal–ceramic
bonding strength of the prepared samples are about 110 MPa, 3·5 MPa/m1/2 and 45 MPa, respectively. The CTE was about 13·73×10–6 °C–1 and close to that of Ni–Cr dental alloy (14·0×10–6 °C–1). The results indicate that the introduction of zirconia is beneficial to the improvement in the mechanical properties and
CTE adjustment of porcelain material. The clinical application of the zirconia–leucite composites with good metal–ceramic
