Six olive oils extracted from the cultivars Arbequina, Arbosana, Coratina, Frantoio, Koroneiki, and Picual from 2017 and 2018 harvests, cultivated in Pinheiro Machado, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, are evaluated for standard oil composition parameters and bioactive constituents (pigments, tocopherols, and phenolic compounds). Multivariate principal component analysis (PCA) and univariate ANOVA and Fisher's LSD test are used to verify the effect of cultivar and harvest year on oil composition. Olive oil composition met extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) standard parameters and is influenced by both cultivar and harvest year. EVOO produced in 2018 has greater chlorophyll, caffeic acid, ligstroside aglycone, hydroxyoleuropein aglycone, syringic acid, and hydroxytyrosol acetate contents than the EVOOs from 2017. Linoleic acid, ferulic acid, ligstroside aglycone, and hydroxytyrosol acetate are the variables whose contents most contributed to the differentiation of oils by cultivar in both harvest years. Chemical characterization analyses allow for the differentiation of oil composition based on harvest year and cultivar. Metabolic quality data obtained here support the establishment of a local EVOO profile and the compounds that most contributed to treatment differentiation may serve as markers that can be utilized in determining origin, cultivar, and harvest year. Practical Applications: Olive production in Brazil is recent and is based on European cultivars which have not been bred for the local environmental conditions. Therefore, the measurement of olive oil metabolic quality will determine cultivar adaptability to local edaphoclimatic conditions as well as assist in the establishment of a standard of identity for the product and promote the development of its market. Olive oil produced in Southern Brazil shows high quality, and is especially rich in phenolic compounds. Although harvest year influences oil composition, oil from both harvests meet EVOO standards and cultivar specific metabolic markers are observed. This study provides the foundation for olive producers in Southern Brazil to seek authentication of the geographical origin of olive oil.  相似文献

High‐shear impellers (HSIs) are mixers used in industrial stirred tanks to incorporate powders into liquids and break down particle agglomerates. A detailed numerical study of two commercial ring‐style HSIs of laboratory scale was carried out and their performance was compared with the Rushton turbine (RT). It was found that power and pumping numbers or their ratio cannot be simply connected for properly selecting an impeller in applications where highly localized viscous dissipation is desirable. The ratio of the average viscous dissipation in the impeller swept volume to the mean in the entire volume at two constant values of power input turned out to be lower for HSIs compared to that evaluated for RT. However, at higher power input, the dimensionless average viscous dissipation in the blade swept volume was found to be similar for the HSI of two rings and the RT, corroborating the high local viscous dissipation of this HSI when operated at higher speeds.  相似文献

Polygodial, a terpenoid dialdehyde isolated from Polygonum hydropiper L., is a known agonist of the transient receptor potential vanilloid 1 (TRPV1). In this investigation a series of polygodial analogues were prepared and investigated for TRPV1‐agonist and anticancer activities. These experiments led to the identification of 9‐epipolygodial, which has antiproliferative potency significantly exceeding that of polygodial. 9‐Epipolygodial was found to maintain potency against apoptosis‐resistant cancer cells as well as those displaying the multidrug‐resistant (MDR) phenotype. In addition, the chemical feasibility for the previously proposed mechanism of action of polygodial, involving the formation of a Paal–Knorr pyrrole with a lysine residue on the target protein, was demonstrated by the synthesis of a stable polygodial pyrrole derivative. These studies reveal rich chemical and biological properties associated with polygodial and its direct derivatives. These compounds should inspire further work in this area aimed at the development of new pharmacological agents, or the exploration of novel mechanisms of covalent modification of biological molecules with natural products.  相似文献

This paper presents a study on the curing conditions of several resin-impregnated papers and its impact on the performance of HPL (high-pressure decorative laminate). A new methodology for evaluating the bond strength development between the different layers of a HPL(overlay, decorative, and kraft papers) was developed using ABES (Automated Bonding Evaluation System) equipment. The proposed method can be applied to the study of the curing step of the different impregnated paper and the development of bonds between them (overlay paper on decorative paper, decorative paper on kraft paper, and kraft paper on kraft paper) trying to simulate the hot-pressing of an industrial HPL. This will permit to establish a more adapted temperature gradient in hot-press in order to achieve the same curing rate for all layers and provide a good final overall product quality.  相似文献

LaNiO3 coatings on nickel-foam supports were prepared by brush painting. The electrochemical properties were investigated by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). Comparative studies were performed with LaNiO3-pelleted electrodes. The roughness factors were determined by CV and found to be 5,208 ± 350 and 4,037 ± 250 for the pelleted and coated electrodes, respectively. EIS measurements confirm the results obtained by CV. Values lower than 0.3 were calculated for the morphology factors for both electrodes, indicating low electrochemical porosity. The experimental method used in this work to synthesise the oxide coupled with the use of Ni foam as support has proved to be very effective in producing oxide electrodes with surface areas higher than those referred to in relevant literature.  相似文献

This work evaluated the use of allyl fatty acid esters derived from vegetable oil (palmitic acid, soybean and sunflower oils) as reactive coalescing agents in a waterborne latex system. Allyl fatty acid derivatives (AFAD) from vegetable oils were synthesized by two different processes. The synthesis was monitored by IR-spectroscopy and the final product characterized by FT-IR, GC–MS, 1H and 13C NMR. The presence of conjugated double bonds in the aliphatic chain was confirmed, which is a determinant for the proposed autoxidative latexes drying mechanism. Each of the AFAD were subsequently added to a standard acrylic emulsion, in order to study its potential as reactive coalescing agent. The minimum film-forming temperature (MFT), glass transition temperature (T g), drying time and rubbing resistance to solvents were evaluated. The results showed that, when added to water-borne acrylic resins, an AFAD acts as a non-volatile plasticizer capable of autoxidative crosslinking with itself.  相似文献

The objective was to study the microstructure and freeze–thaw stability of margarine-like emulsions formulated with vegetable fats using differential scanning calorimetry. Emulsions were prepared with 20% w/w dispersed aqueous phase and a continuous lipid phase composed by coconut oil (CO) and/or palm oil (PO) plus polyglycerol polyricinoleate (PGPR) as emulsifier. Mean temperature (TM) and crystallization enthalpy (ΔHc) were obtained from the exothermic peaks corresponding to freezing of aqueous phase. Successive cooling–heating–cooling cycles were applied to analyze changes in the exothermic peak. The emulsion prepared with CO (without PO) and 1% w/w PGPR in lipid phase showed higher water droplets size (TM = −44.8 ± 0.1 °C) and lower quantity of stabilized aqueous phase (ΔHc = 28.9 ± 1.2 J g−1) prior to application of temperature cycles, while coalescence and (presumably) water transfer processes occurred during the treatment. The use of 2% w/w PGPR was sufficient to accomplish full stabilization of aqueous phase (TM = −45.9 ± 0.1 °C; ΔHc = 42.6 ± 0.3 J g−1) before and after the freeze–thaw treatment. The total or partial (50%) substitution of CO by PO in emulsions with 1% w/w PGPR also improved the stability of the system, exhibiting slight microstructural changes. This enhanced stability would be linked to reduced water droplets size because of more rapid crystallization of lipid phase and immobilization of aqueous phase after emulsion preparation. In conclusion, it is possible to obtain margarine-like emulsions prepared with CO and/or PO using relatively low emulsifier concentration and maintaining a desired microstructure after freeze-thawing if the percentage ratio of both fats is controlled.  相似文献

Physical chemical properties of cupuassu fat were modified by dry fractionation. Stearin and olein fractions were obtained at 29, 26, and 24 °C. Polymorphic behavior of unfractionated cupuassu fat (UCF) and its fractions were studied in situ by small-angle (SAXS) and wide-angle (WAXS) X-ray scattering using synchrotron light. Polymorphic transitions were followed in real time tempering samples with a thermal cycle. For UCF, the main polymorphic form crystallized under selected conditions was the β’2. α and β’1-forms appeared in trace amounts. β2-form was obtained after storage at 25 °C for 3 months. Stearins obtained at 26 (S-26) and 24 °C (S-24) showed a similar polymorphic behavior. However, S-26 with improved physical properties might be more suitable for chocolate production or as a trans-fat alternative than UCF. Stearin fraction obtained at 29 °C (S-29) had a complex polymorphic behavior. The α-form was the first polymorphic form detected followed by β’2-form. There was a polymorphic transition from α to β’1-form but no transition between β’-forms. They were independent to each other showing fractionation in two different solid solutions. Increased contents of the triacylglycerols (TAG) SOA and SOB together with lower contents of SOO compared to UCF led to co-crystallization because there was no complete compatibility among all TAG present in S-29. β1-form crystallized after storage forming crystals with a double-layer arrangement and a characteristic morphology. This form could be useful for accelerating crystallization process in melted liquid systems.  相似文献

Feruloylated arabinoxylans (FAX) are gelling polysaccharides presenting antioxidant activity (AC) and potential application as delivery systems. The influence of carboxymethylation on the gelling capacity, rheological properties, and AC of FAX from wheat flour (FAX1) and maize distillers grains (FAX2) was analyzed. The degree of substitution of carboxymethyl groups was 0.27 and 1.77 for carboxymethylated FAX1 (CFAX1) and FAX2 (CFAX2), which presented a change in M n from 446 to 362 kDa and from 120 to 180 kDa, and a loss in FA content from 1.05 to traces and from 10.13 to 0.12, respectively, after carboxymethylation. G′ value at the end of rheological tests for FAX1 (71 Pa) and FAX2 (726 Pa) was higher than the corresponding G″ value. In contrast, G″ value for CFAX1 (0.35 Pa) and CFAX2 (0.03 Pa) was higher than the respective G′ value, indicating that they do no form gels. The AC increased in CFAX1 in relation to FAX1 from 4.49 to 8.30 mmol Trolox equivalent antioxidant capacity (TEAC) kg−1, respectively, while it decreased in CFAX2 with regard to FAX2 from 11.31 to 9.43 mmol TEAC kg−1, respectively.
