This paper presents a comprehensive literature review for mine hoist drives. Both DC and AC drives with their control techniques are discussed with a comparative study on their performance. Many recent control techniques using power electronic based systems are also discussed. The future trend in this area is also addressed. The high-affinity receptor (R) for IL-5 consists of a unique alpha chain (IL-5R alpha) and a beta chain (beta c) that is shared with the receptors for IL-3 and granulocyte macrophage colony stimulating factor (GM-CSF). We defined two regions of IL-5R alpha for the IL-5-induced proliferative response, the expression of nuclear proto-oncogenes, and the tyrosine phosphorylation of cellular proteins including beta c, SH2/SH3-containing proteins and JAK2 kinase. In the studies described here, we demonstrate that IL-5, IL-3 or GM-CSF stimulation induces the tyrosine phosphorylation of JAK2, and to a lesser extent JAK1, and of STAT5. Mutational analysis revealed that one of the proline residues, particularly Pro352 and Pro355, in the membrane-proximal proline-rich sequence (Pro352-Pro353-X-Pro355) of the cytoplasmic domain of IL-5R alpha is required for cell proliferation, and for both JAK1 and JAK2 activation. In addition, transfectants expressing chimeric receptors which consist of the extracellular domain of IL-5R alpha and the cytoplasmic domain of beta c responded to IL-5 for proliferation and tyrosine phosphorylation of JAK1. Intriguingly, electrophoretic mobility shift assay analysis revealed that STAT5 was activated in cells showing either JAK1 or JAK2 tyrosine phosphorylation. These results indicate that activation of JAK1, JAK2 and STAT5 is critical to coupling IL-5-induced tyrosine phosphorylation and ultimately mitogenesis, and that Pro352 and Pro355 in the proline-rich sequence appear to play more essential roles in cell growth and in both JAK1/STAT5 and JAK2/STAT5 activation than Pro353 does.  相似文献

Metal triflate‐catalysed intermolecular Friedel–Crafts reactions involving electron‐rich benzenoid arenes and spiroepoxyoxindoles at the spiro‐centre have been developed for the exclusive regioselective synthesis of 3‐aryl‐(3‐hydroxymethyl)oxindoles with an all‐carbon quaternary centre. Selective ring opening of spiroepoxyoxindoles with phenols provided a direct access to 3‐(hydroxymethyl)‐3‐(2‐hydroxyaryl)oxindoles. We have utilized this methodology successfully as the key step for the synthesis of benzofuroindolines and 2H‐spiro[benzofuran]‐3,3′‐oxindoles.

Arsenic (As) induced identifiable health outcomes are now spreading across Indian subcontinent with continuous discovery of high As concentrations in groundwater. This study deals with groundwater hydrochemistry vis-à-vis As exposure assessment among rural population in Chakdaha block, West Bengal, India. The water quality survey reveals that 96% of the tubewells exceed WHO guideline value (10 μg/L of As). The groundwaters are generally anoxic (−283 to −22 mV) with circum-neutral pH (6.3 to 7.8). The hydrochemistry is dominated by HCO3 (208 to 440 mg/L), Ca2+ (79 to 178 mg/L) and Mg2+ (17 to 45 mg/L) ions along with high concentrations of AsT (As total, below detection limit to 0.29 mg/L), FeT (Fe total, 1.2 to 16 mg/L), and Fe(II) (0.74 to 16 mg/L). The result demonstrates that Fe(II)-Fe(III) cycling is the dominant process for the release of As from aquifer sediments to groundwater (and vice versa), which is mainly controlled by the local biogeochemical conditions. The exposure scenario reveals that the consumption of groundwater and rice are the major pathways of As accumulation in human body, which is explained by the dietary habit of the surveyed population. Finally, regular awareness campaign is essential as part of the management and prevention of health outcomes.  相似文献

The dual effects of chemical composition and cooling rate on microstructural evolution were theoretically simulated extending the Johnson-Mehl equation for non-isothermal pro-eutectoid ferrite transformation kinetics incorporating the effect of supercooling (ΔT) as well as for isothermal pearlite transformation kinetics assuming the exponent on time ‘n’ to vary inversely with time as, n = p/t m , for case carburized steel quenched in oil. Carbon concentration profile of steel carburized at 930 °C for 10 h was theoretically computed by solving the Fick’s diffusion equation. The cooling curves from surface to core were generated for typical 20.32 and 15.6 mm diameter steels using FEM package (ANSYS) for oil quenching, water quenching, and air cooling. The effect of varying carbon concentration from surface to core was incorporated in the heat transfer equations while generating cooling curves, at different case depths (surface, 0.31, 0.558, 1.239, and 3.469 mm). The cooling curves for oil quenching were superimposed on the published TTT diagrams of the steels of corresponding carbon content and using the empirical equations the evolution of different microconstituents, e.g., ferrite, pearlite, and martensite from the parent austenite phase were computed for the carburized 20.32 and 15.6 mm diameter steel samples. These steel samples were also case carburized experimentally at 930 °C for 10 h followed by oil quenching. The theoretically predicted case depth of 3.469 mm matched closely with the experimentally observed value. Microstructural studies were done on inverted microscope and quantitative image analyzer at different case depths/nodal points. Microhardnesses were also measured at case depths from 0.1 mm to center of the samples at selected areas to identify the different phases. The experimentally observed microstructures matched well with the theoretically predicted evolution of microconstituents.  相似文献
