The basic purpose of CAMAC is to provide a standardized method for transferring data and control information between instrurrentation modules and a digital controller. CAMAC encompasses both a hardware standard for housing the modular components of a system and an electrical and logical standard for the control "language" used to effect the information transfer. The CAMAC specification contains the formally stated rules for hoth of these aspects of CAMAC. This paper concentrates on the control language and describes some of its features and uses in a less formal way than in the specification, and therefore may be useful as an introduction to the subject. Other papers in this series consider other aspects of CAMAC, including its place in the context of instrumentation systems, hardware aspects, signal standards, the Branch Highway, and coupling to computers and control systems. Here, the scope is limited to the process of information interchange within the CAMAC crate. This is a revised version of a paper previously publishled. Since the first version was published, a revised version of the CAMAC specification has been issued. This present paper is based only on the revised specification. Information on the differences between the original and revised CAMAC specifications is available.  相似文献

A model to calculate the economic losses of mastitis on an average Dutch dairy farm was developed and used as base for a tool for farmers and advisors to calculate farm-specific economic losses of mastitis. The economic losses of a clinical case in a default situation were calculated as euro210, varying from euro164 to euro235 depending on the month of lactation. The total economic losses of mastitis (subclinical and clinical) per cow present in a default situation varied between euro65 and euro182/cow per year depending on the bulk tank somatic cell count. The tool was used to measure perception of the total economic losses of mastitis on the farm and the farmers' assessment of the cost factors of mastitis on 78 dairy farms, of which 64 were used for further analyses. Most farmers (72%) expected their economic losses to be lower than those revealed by our calculation made with their farm information. Underestimating the economic losses of mastitis can be regarded as a general problem in the dairy sector. The average economic losses assessed by the farmers were euro78/cow per year, but a large variation was given, euro17-198/cow per year. Although the average assessment of the farmers of the different cost factors is close to the default value, there is much variation. To improve the adoption rate of advice and lower the incidence of mastitis, it is important to show the farmers the economic losses of mastitis on their farm. The tool described in this paper can play a role in that process.  相似文献

BACKGROUND: Many consumers perceive organic foods as more nutritious than conventional foods. However, the existing evidence is insufficient to support or refute this belief. The purpose of the present study was to investigate the effect of three different model cultivation systems on selected major and trace element contents of dried foodstuffs (carrots, kale, peas, potatoes and apples) grown in two consecutive years, as well as mineral retention determined in 36 rats (second generation in a multi‐generation study) fed diets based on these foodstuffs from one year. RESULTS: Overall, there was no evident trend towards differences in element content of foodstuffs or diets due to the use of different cultivation systems, and differences between harvest years exceeded those seen between cultivation methods. Also, no significant differences in the retention of elements in rats fed diets derived from different cultivation systems were seen, since higher intake resulted in correspondingly higher excretion. CONCLUSION: This study does not support the belief that organically grown foodstuffs generally contain more major and trace elements than conventionally grown foodstuffs, nor does there appear to be an effect on the bioavailability of major and trace minerals in rats. Most inspectors measure form tolerances as the minimum zone solution, which minimizes the maximum error between the datapoints and a reference feature. Current coordinate measuring machines verification algorithms are based on the least-squares solution, which minimizes the sum of the squared errors, resulting in a possible overestimation of the form tolerance. Therefore, although coordinate measuring machines algorithms successfully reject bad parts, they may also reject some good parts. The verification algorithms developed in this set of papers compute the minimum zone solution of a set of datapoints sampled from a part. Computing the minimum zone solution is inherently a nonlinear optimization problem. This paper develops a single verification methodology that can be applied to the cylindricity and straightness of a median line problems. The final implementable formulation solves a sequence of linear programs that converge to a local optimal solution. Given adequate initial conditions, this solution will be the minimum zone solution. This methodology is also applied to the problems of computing the minimum circumscribed cylinder and the maximum inscribed cylinder. Experimental evidence that the formulations are both robust and efficient is provided.  相似文献

Nitride and oxy‐nitride HPPMS coatings for the application in the plastics processing (Part 2) In the previous issue three oxy‐nitridic hard coatings on CrAl‐basis were investigated. These coatings were deposited by physical vapour deposition (PVD) as protective coatings against adhesive and abrasive wear in polymer extrusion. The coatings were developed using a variation of the oxygen content to investigate the influence of the chemical composition on the coating properties as well as composite properties between the coating and the coated tool. Following up on these findings this article will focus on the application oriented system properties of the three investigated coating systems towards the polycarbonate melt.  相似文献

From the smallest ecological niche to global scale, communities of microbial life present a major factor in system regulation and stability. As long as laboratory studies remain restricted to single or few species assemblies, however, very little is known about the interaction patterns and exogenous factors controlling the dynamics of natural microbial communities. In combination with microfluidic technologies, progress in the manufacture of functional and stimuli‐responsive materials makes artificial microbial arenas accessible. As habitats for natural or multispecies synthetic consortia, they are expected to not only enable detailed investigations, but also the training and the directed evolution of microbial communities in states of balance and disturbance, or under the effects of modulated stimuli and spontaneous response triggers. Here, a perspective on how materials research will play an essential role in generating answers to the most pertinent questions of microbial engineering is presented, and the concept of adaptive microbial arenas and possibilities for their construction from particulate microniches to 3D habitats is introduced. Materials as active and tunable components at the interface of living and nonliving matter offer exciting opportunities in this field. Beyond forming the physical horizon for microbial cultivates, they will enable dedicated intervention, training, and observation of microbial consortia.  相似文献

Customized implants for bone replacement are a great help for a surgeon to remodel maxillofacial or craniofacial defects in an esthetical way, and to significantly reduce operation times. The hypothesis of this study was that a composite of β-tricalcium phosphate (β-TCP) and a bioactive glass similar to the 45S5 Henchglass® is suitable to manufacture customized implants via 3D-printing process. The composite was chosen because of the bioresorption properties of the β-TCP, its capability to react as bone cement, and because of the adjustability of the bioactive glass from inert to bioresorbable. Customized implants were manufactured using the 3D-printing technique. The four point bending strength of the printed specimens was 14.9 MPa after sintering. XRD analysis revealed the occurrence of two other phases, CaNaPO4 and CaSiO3, both biocompatible and with the potential of biodegradation. We conclude that it is possible to print tailored bone substitute implants using a bioactive TCP/glass composite. The glass is not involved as reactive substance in the printing process. This offers the opportunity to alter the glass composition and therefore to vary the composition of the implant.  相似文献
