Although it has been known that pomegranate (Punica granatum L.) contains several steroid hormones, concrete experimental proofs about that have not been published until now. In order to identify and evaluate the contents of steroid hormones including estrone in pomegranate, we analyzed pomegranate seed, fruit juice and commercial preparations. We developed a reproducible and sensitive method for separation and identification of steroid hormones in pomegranate samples using both high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC)–PDA and gas chromatography (GC)–MS. In case of HPLC, an isocratic elution method using 35% aqueous acetonitrile solution at 1.0 ml/min with photodiode-array (PDA) detection at 225 nm and 254 nm was found to optimally separate and identify the steroid hormones from the pomegranate samples with a run time of less than 30 min. The pomegranate samples were comparatively analyzed to the HPLC results by GC/FID or GC/MS detection on a HP-1 (30 m length, 0.32 mm I.D.) with helium as carrier gas under the oven temperature control as follows: start 220 °C for 5 min, raising 5 °C per min, final 280 °C for 10 min. The HPLC and GC methods were successfully applied to the identification of steroid hormones in pomegranate samples. Our results suggested that there were no steroid estrogens including estrone, estradiol and testosterone in pomegranate seed, fruit juice and preparations. Consequently, we assumed that the previously reported analysts of pomegranate were misunderstood their analytical results according to either the estrogen-like effects or similarity of peak retention time and Rf values in experiments.  相似文献

A novel MMIC transversal filter structure using multiple-coupled-line directional couplers and its design method are proposed. There is a critical drawback in fabricating MMIC transversal filters because the length of the conventional transversal filter is much longer than the width. In order to solve this structural problem, a novel transversal filter which can easily be realized in MMIC type is proposed. The usefulness of the proposed transversal filter for MMIC applications is verified by the 3D full-wave analysis. The analysis results show the characteristics of low insertion loss, improved selectivity, and little bandwidth shrinkage.  相似文献

Both a potentiometric and a chronoamperometric electrochemical technique have been applied in an attempt to develop an efficient method for an on-line monitoring of a lithium metal reduction process of uranium oxides at a high-temperature in a molten salt medium. As a result of this study, it was concluded that the chronoamperometric method provided a simple and effective way for a direct on-line monitoring measurement of a lithium metal reduction process of uranium oxides at 650 °C by the measuring electrical currents dependency on a variation of the reduction time for the reaction. A potentiometric method, by adopting a homemade oxide ion selective electrode made of ZrO2 stabilized by a Y2O3 doping, however, was found to be inappropriate for an on-line monitoring of the reduction reaction of uranium oxide in the presence of lithium metal due to an abnormal behavior of the adopted electrodes. The observed experimental results were discussed in detail by comparing them with previously published experimental data.  相似文献

The effect of strain rate on the behaviour of high temperature low-cycle fatigue is investigated for AISI 304L stainless steel. Regardless of the test temperature of 873 or 973 K, the fatigue life is saturated in the strain-rate range of slower than 4 × 10–3 sec–1. Also it is interesting to note that serrated flow, which is evidence of the occurrence of dynamic strain ageing, is clearly observed in the load-elongation hysteresis loops for strain rates that are slower (at 873 K) and faster (at 973 K) than 4 × 10–3 sec–1. Since the combination of temperature and strain rate is concerned with the phenomenon of dynamic strain ageing, it is considered that the above-mentioned saturated fatigue life at 873 K is caused by dynamic strain ageing and that the hardening effect due to dynamic strain ageing abnormally increases the fatigue life. However, even though the behaviour of fatigue life under strain rates slower than 4 × 10–3 sec–1 at 973 K has nothing to do with the dynamic strain ageing, it has been found that the failure life is also saturated in this slower strain-rate range. This behaviour is considered to be caused by the effect of creep, because the deformation under the low strain-rate activates the recovery process and as a result it causes saturation of the inelastic strain range.  相似文献

We report a new method to produce ordered arrays of metal nanostructures on substrates. The method employs a through-hole nanoporous alumina membrane as a mask that is attached onto the substrate, silicon in this study. The material of deposition, Au in this study, was provided by pulsed laser ablation of a target gold. At an early stage of the deposition, a significant portion of Au penetrated the alumina through-holes and formed an ordered nanodot array on the silicon surface. At the later stage, the through-hole deposition was blocked by the growth of Au film on the top surface of the alumina, so that the heights of the Au nanodots were limited to about 10 nm under current experimental conditions. Subsequent attempts to clean up the top surface of the alumina with a lower power laser illumination resulted in the formation of new nanostructures around the alumina pores, nanospheres, or nanorings, depending on the fluence of the laser and the duration of the cleanup. We will discuss the underlying mechanism of the formation of these nanostructures.  相似文献

When positioning by global positioning systems, geometric dilution of precision is generally used as a satellite selection criterion. While it takes account of only geometric effects, there are other factors causing positioning error, such as ionospheric delay, tropospheric delay, and multipath. In this paper, a new criterion for satellite selection, which considers the effect of these errors, is proposed and the effectiveness of the proposed criterion is shown.  相似文献

The Fiat-Shamir paradigm for transforming identification schemes into signature schemes has been popular since its introduction because it yields efficient signature schemes, and has been receiving renewed interest of late as the main tool in deriving forward-secure signature schemes. In this paper, minimal (meaning necessary and sufficient) conditions on the identification scheme to ensure security of the signature scheme in the random oracle model are determined, both in the usual and in the forward-secure cases. Specifically, it is shown that the signature scheme is secure (respectively, forward-secure) against chosen-message attacks in the random oracle model if and only if the underlying identification scheme is secure (respectively, forward-secure) against impersonation under passive (i.e., eavesdropping only) attacks, and has its commitments drawn at random from a large space. An extension is proven incorporating a random seed into the Fiat-Shamir transform so that the commitment space assumption may be removed.  相似文献
