Porous Nylon 6 nanofibers were prepared using silica nanoparticles as the template. Firstly, Nylon 6/silica composite nanofibers were prepared as precursors by electrospinning Nylon 6 solutions containing different contents of silica nanoparticles. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) were used to examine the surface morphology and the inner structure of composite nanofibers; where it was found that silica nanoparticles were distributed both inside and on the surface of nanofibers. Analytical techniques [Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), differential scanning calorimetry, thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA), and wide‐angle X‐ray diffraction) were used to study the structure and properties of these composite nanofibers. The glass transition, melting, and crystallization processes of the fibers were affected by the addition of silica nanoparticles. Secondly, porous Nylon 6 nanofibers were obtained by removing silica nanoparticles via hydrofluoric acid treatment. The removal of silica nanoparticles was confirmed using FTIR and TGA tests. SEM and TEM observations revealed the formation of the porous structure in these nanofibers. After the formation of the porous structure, Brunauer–Emmett–Teller specific surface areas of nanofibers were increased as compared to solid Nylon 6 and composite nanofibers. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The World Wide Web has turned hypertext into a success story by enabling world-wide sharing of unstructured information and informal knowledge. The Semantic Web targets the sharing of structured information and formal knowledge pursuing objectives of achieving collective intelligence on the Web. Germane to the structure of the Semantic Web is a layering and standardization of concerns. These concerns are reflected by an architecture of the Semantic Web that we present through a common use case. OBJECTIVE: To report a case of probable famotidine-induced mixed hepatocellular jaundice. CASE SUMMARY: A 55-year-old man presented with a one-month history of mid-epigastric pain. Initial physical examination and laboratory studies, including liver enzyme concentration tests, were unrevealing. A diagnosis of gastritis was made and ranitidine was prescribed. Following one week of therapy, the patient's symptoms had not improved and therapy was changed to famotidine and sucralfate. Approximately one week later the patient presented with jaundice. Liver enzyme concentrations were elevated and the patient was hospitalized for further evaluation. Five days following discontinuation of famotidine, liver enzyme concentrations were normal and jaundice had resolved. Further tests did not reveal any pathologic etiology. DISCUSSION: Hepatic changes have occurred in patients receiving histamine2-antagonists; ranitidine and cimetidine have been cited most frequently. In general, the elevations are mild, transient, and return to baseline with continued therapy. This is one of the first case reports of probable famotidine-induced mixed hepatocellular jaundice. CONCLUSIONS: There was a temporal relationship between the patient's signs and symptoms and initiation of famotidine. No identifiable factors contributed to the elevated liver enzyme concentrations and jaundice.  相似文献

Molecular docking has been extensively applied in virtual screening of small molecule libraries for lead identification and optimization. A necessary prerequisite for successful differentiation between active and non-active ligands is the accurate prediction of their binding affinities in the complex by use of docking scoring functions. However, many studies have shown rather poor correlations between docking scores and experimental binding affinities. Our work aimed to improve this correlation by implementing a multipose binding concept in the docking scoring scheme. Multipose binding, i.e., the property of certain protein-ligand complexes to exhibit different ligand binding modes, has been shown to occur in nature for a variety of molecules. We conducted a high-throughput docking study and implemented multipose binding in the scoring procedure by considering multiple docking solutions in binding affinity prediction. In general, improvement of the agreement between docking scores and experimental data was observed, and this was most pronounced in complexes with large and flexible ligands and high binding affinities. Further developments of the selection criteria for docking solutions for each individual complex are still necessary for a general utilization of the multipose binding concept for accurate binding affinity prediction by molecular docking.  相似文献

A simple and effective way to manufacture graphene from a coal tar pitch (CTP) is demonstrated. Silica (SiO2) nanoparticles were used to modify the CTP as carbon precursor. A silica nanofiller introduced into the CTP matrix underwent carboreduction during heat treatment to 2000 °C, resulting in the formation of silicon carbide. Surfaces of SiC grains were sites for graphene formation. The influence of SiO2 on the structure and microstructure of CTP- based carbon matrix, after annealing up to 2800 °C, was studied. Carbon samples were analyzed using X- ray Diffraction (XRD), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) and Raman Spectroscopy. Crystallite sizes (La, Lc) and interplanar distance (d002) were determined. The presence of SiO2 in CTP carbon precursor favored the crystallites’ growth in the ‘a′ crystallographic graphite direction, and inhibited their growth on the ‘c′ axis. The crystallites composing of graphene layers, were characterized by an elongated dimension in the ‘a′ axis direction. Above 2000 °C silicon carbide decomposed, followed by the sublimation of silicon from the carbon matrix.  相似文献

NO adsorption and decomposition were studied on sulphided and sulphated copper-exchanged ZSM-5, AlMCM-41 and NbMCM-41 molecular sieves. FTIR, temperature-programmed reduction (H2-TPR) techniques, adsorption, and catalytic measurements were applied. H2S adsorption drastically decreases the activity of copper-containing micro- and mesoporous materials studied in NO decomposition due to their sulphidation. This decrease is higher than that observed after SO2 treatment and is assigned to the formation of sulphide species. H2S is strongly chemisorbed on all copper active sites. Oxidation of sulphide species leading to the formation of sulphates does not increase the activity in the decomposition of NO, suggesting that some sulphided species are not oxidised.  相似文献

The aim of the work is to assess the possibility and usefulness of acquiring geothermal energy from the existing production well Jachówka K-2. The initial assumptions that are essential for estimation of both a heat flux transferred between a deposit and a heat carrier and a heat flux permeated through the barrier are discussed. To achieve this goal, the authors have worked out a computational model that allowed them to determine the value of the gained geothermal heat flux using a double-pipe geothermal heat exchanger with a dead center. Off-axle interconnections between segments of N-trailer vehicles may imply specific oscillatory behaviour of trailers during vehicle manoeuvres. The paper reveals that this kind of oscillations is a direct consequence of the non-minimum-phase property of vehicle kinematics resulting from application of off-axle interconnections between vehicle segments. First we show the non-minimum-phase property for dynamics of a single pair of interconnected segments, and then how it propagates along the N-trailers equipped with arbitrary number of off-axle interconnections. By referring to available results for linear systems, we locally analyse linearly approximated vehicle kinematics around selected steady-motion conditions. We focus on the time-response effects like undershooting, zero-crossing, and overshooting caused by off-axle interconnections. We show how the number and type of interconnections influence the non-minimum-phase effects. Numerical results obtained for three-trailer kinematics validate theoretical considerations providing some quantitative view of the problem. Short discussion has been provided on the possible control-level consequences resulting from the non-minimum-phase property of N-trailers.  相似文献
