In the present study, poly(acrylamide-co-itaconic acid) hybrid nanocomposites were synthesized via free radical copolymerization method. Octavinyl polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (OV-POSS) with different weight ratio (0, 4, 8, 12 and 14 wt%) was utilized as a cross-linker. Dye adsorption properties of the as-prepared hybrid nanocomposites were investigated for crystal violet (CV) elimination from aqueous solution. The effect of various parameters, such as OV-POSS content, adsorbent amount, pH, temperature, contact time and initial dye concentration, on the adsorption of CV was studied. Moreover, adsorption kinetic, isotherm and the thermodynamic of the CV adsorption on the so-called hybrid nanocomposites were studied.  相似文献

Web content filtering is one among many techniques to limit the exposure of selective content on the Internet. It has gotten trivial with time, yet filtering of multilingual web content is still a difficult task, especially while considering big data landscape. The enormity of data increases the challenge of developing an effective content filtering system that can work in real time. There are several systems which can filter the URLs based on artificial intelligence techniques to identify the site with objectionable content. Most of these systems classify the URLs only in the English language. These systems either fail to respond when multilingual URLs are processed, or over-blocking is experienced. This paper introduces a filtering system that can classify multilingual URLs based on predefined criteria for URL, title, and metadata of a web page. Ontological approaches along with local multilingual dictionaries are used as the knowledge base to facilitate the challenging task of blocking URLs not meeting the filtering criteria. The proposed work shows high accuracy in classifying multilingual URLs into two categories, white and black. Evaluation results conducted on a large dataset show that the proposed system achieves promising accuracy, which is on a par with those achieved in state-of-the-art literature on semantic-based URL filtering.  相似文献

The detection of fully and partially defective sensors in a linear array composed of N sensors is addressed. First, the symmetrical structure of a linear array is proposed. Second, a hybrid technique based on the cultural algorithm with differential evolution is developed. The symmetrical structure has two advantages: (1) Instead of finding all damaged patterns, only (N–1)/2 patterns are needed; (2) We are required to scan the region from 0° to 90° instead of from 0° to 180°. Obviously, the computational complexity can be reduced. Monte Carlo simulations were carried out to validate the performance of the proposed scheme, compared with existing methods in terms of computational time and mean square error.  相似文献

The physiochemical properties and fatty acid (FA) composition of oil from seeds of four desi chickpea cultivars, grown in Pakistan, were investigated. The oil content was relatively low (5.88–6.87%). The physiochemical parameters determined included refractive indices (RI) at 40 °C (1.48–1.49), relative density (0.95–0.96), iodine value (IV) (111.87–113.69), acid value (AV) (2.55–2.73 mg KOH/g), saponification value (SV) (183.98–185.64 mg KOH/g), unsaponifiable matter (UM) (2.99–3.71%), peroxide value (PV) (3.97–6.37 mequiv/Kg), p-anisidine value (p-AV) (5.39–8.74), and oxidation value (OV) (13.67–22.34). Linoleic acid and oleic acid were the dominant FAs. Results from most of the parameters revealed significant (P < 0.05) differences among the cultivars. The findings reveal Desi chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.), indigenous to Pakistan, to be a potentially valuable legume crop with comparable nutritional quality oil.  相似文献

Polyacrylonitrile (PAN) and copolymer of acrylonitrile–vinyl acids prepared by solution polymerization technique have been characterized by Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) (under dynamic as well as isothermal conditions), themograviemetric analysis (TGA), and on‐line DSC‐FTIR spectroscopy. The DSC of copolymers was carried out at 5°C/min in nitrogen and air. In nitrogen atmosphere the DSC exotherm show a very sharp peak, whereas, in air atmosphere DSC exotherm is broad, and starts at a much lower temperature compared to what is observed in nitrogen atmosphere. The initiation temperature of PAN homopolymer is higher than that for the copolymers. For instance, the initiation temperature of PAN in air is 244°C, whereas, the onset of exothermic reaction is in the range of 172 to 218°C for acrylonitrile–vinyl acid copolymers. As the vinyl acid content increases the ΔH value reduces. The ΔH value of PAN in air was 7025 J/g, whereas, for P(AN‐AA) with 5.51 mol % of acid it was 3798 J/g. As the content of acrylic acid comonomer is increased to 17.51 mol % the value of ΔH decreases further to 1636 J/g. The same trend was observed with MAA and IA as well. Polyacrylonitrile is an important polymer that is widely used in the manufacture of synthetic fibers, particularly for applications in apparel. Although a vast amount of literature is available on the polymerization process of acrylonitrile (AN) with other monomers, there are few reports of studies on polymerization in a mixed solvent of water with an organic solvent. It is conceivable that this method could combine the advantages of the solution and suspension polymerization methods. Synthesis of AN copolymers with two vinyl acids, methacrylic acid (MAA) and itaconic acid (IA), is carried out by solvent–water suspension polymerization. The polymerizations are performed with an equal ratio mixture of dimethylformamide as a solvent and water as a nonsolvent at 60°C using α,α‐azobisisobutyronitrile as an initiator. The kinetics of polymerization are studied by plotting the conversion versus reaction time for different mole ratios of AN with vinyl acids. Copolymers are characterized by FTIR and capillary viscometery. The results show that IA depresses the rate of polymerization more than MAA in this reaction medium, and this effect becomes more significant at higher vinyl acid mole ratios. High conversion in a short reaction time is obtainable for copolymers with a low vinyl acid mole fraction. However, for mole ratios of more than 93:7, the rate of the reaction is drastically reduced and low conversion (<60%) results, even after 8 h. The intrinsic viscosities of all cases are surprisingly high. Although they are reduced with increasing acidic comonomer mole fraction, this reduction is more significant for IA compared to MAA. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Coverage problem which is one of the challenging problems in facility location studies, is NP-hard. In this paper, we focus on a constrained version of coverage problem in which a set of demand points and some constrained regions are given and the goal is to find a minimum number of sensors which covers all demand points. A heuristic approach is presented to solve this problem by using the Voronoi diagram and p-center problem's solution. The proposed algorithm is relatively time-saving and is compared with alternative solutions. The results are discussed, and concluding remarks and future work are given.  相似文献
