Reactive blending of polyamide 6 (PA) with polyethylene (PE) having reactive sites, maleic anhydride (MAH content=0.1 wt%),and glycidyl methacrylate (GMA content=3-12 wt%), was carried out at 70/30 and 65/35 (PA/PE) blend ratios. Blend morphology evolved by reactive blending was analyzed by light scattering and transmission electron microscopy. The blends were then irradiated by electron beam. The degree of crosslinking was estimated by measuring the dynamic storage modulus at a temperature above melting point of PA. It was found that surface-to-surface interparticle distance τ was significantly reduced by the micelle formation via pull-out of in situ-formed graft copolymers. The blend with shorter τ was crosslinked by electron-beam irradiation at the lower dose level. A blend having the minimum τ (∼0.2 μm) was nicely crosslinked at a low dose level same as for PE, and even for the PA matrix system.  相似文献

A series of new, substituted pyromellitic dianhydrides were synthesized from 1,2,4,5-tetramethylbenzene. New soluble rigid-rod polyimides were obtained from the dianhydrides and 2,2′-bis(trifluoromethyl)-4,4′-biphenyl (PFMB) in phenolic solvents in the presence of isoquinoline as a catalyst. The polyimides are soluble in N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP), N,N-dimethylacetamide (DMAc), m-cresol and other solvents, in spite of having no bending in their rigid structures.

UV irradiation changed color of the polyimide solutions and also their viscosity. We observed new absorbance in the 700-nm region and an ESR signal by UV irradiation. The new visible absorbance and the ESR signal are derived from the same origin. They are attributed to the anion radical of the diimide moiety in the polyimide as deduced from the hyper fine structure of the ESR signal. In addition, UV irradiation diminishes the solution viscosity.  相似文献

Pervaporation (PV) is a membrane technology that holds great promise for industrial applications. To better understand the PV mechanism, PV dehydrations of various types of organic solvents (methanol, ethanol, iso-propanol, tert-butanol, and acetone) were performed on five types of organosilica and two types of silicon carbide-based membranes, all with different pore sizes. Water permeance was dependent on the types of organic aqueous solutions, which suggested that organic solvents penetrated the pores and hindered the permeation of water. In addition, water permeance of various types of membranes in PV was well correlated with hydrogen permeance in single-gas permeation. Furthermore, a clear correlation was obtained between the permeance ratio in PV and that in single-gas permeation, which was confirmed via the modified-gas translation model. These correlations make it possible to use single-gas permeation properties to predict PV performance.  相似文献

The penetration phenomena of liquid manganese (Mn) alloy into porous ZrO2 (8 vvt % Y2O3) coating plasma sprayed on SS400 steel substrate was studied by heating in a vacuum atmosphere. The improvement in mechanical properties of the coating by heat treatment with liquid Mn alloys was examined. Liquid Mn alloys, such as Mn-Cu, Mn-Sn, and Mn-In, rapidly penetrated the coating and formed a chemical bond between the coating and the substrate. The densification of the ZrO2 coating occurred when ZrO2 particles were sintered with liquid Mn alloys that penetrated the porous coating. The dense coating was free of porosity, and its hardness increased after heat treatment with Mn alloys, compared with assprayed ZrO2 coating. Moreover, the fracture toughness of the coating reached the same levels as those of sintered yttria-stabilized PSZ.  相似文献

For the effective use of short-lived radioactive beams, soon to be available at the Tokai Radioactive Ion Accelerator Complex, the authors have developed a radiotracer method for diffusion studies in solids. The experimental test was performed by the measurement of the diffusion coefficients of Li in a sample of the compound βLiAl using an α-emitting radiotracer of 8Li (T1/2=0.84 s). It was found that the time-dependent yields of the α particles from the diffusing 8Li that was initially implanted in the sample could be used as a measure of the diffusivity of the tracer in a nondestructive way. The method was applied to measure the self-diffusion coefficients of Li in βLiGa, and for investigating how the Li diffusion in the Li ionic conductors is affected by the concentration of atomic defects (i.e., the existence of the atomic vacancies of Li and the defects in Ga sites that are replaced by Li).  相似文献

Mechanical deformation of Pd40Ni40P20 was characterized in compression over a wide strain rate range (3.3×10−5 to 2×103 s−1) at room temperature. The compression sample fractured with a shear plane inclined 42 degree with respect to the loading axis, in contrast to 56 degree for the case of tension. This suggests the yielding of the material deviates from the classical von Mises yield criterion, but follows the Mohr-Coulomb yield criterion. Fracture stress as well as strain was found to decrease with increasing applied strain rate. The compressive stress (1.74 GPa) was also found to be higher than the tensile fracture stress at a quasi-static strain rate. Close examination of the stress–strain curves revealed that localized shear might have occurred at a compressive stress of about 1.4 GPa, much lower than the “apparent” yield stress of 1.74 GPa. However, the stress of 1.4 GPa for shear band initiation is almost the same as the fracture stress measured at a dynamic strain rate of 5×102 s−1. These results suggested that the fracture of a bulk metallic glass is sensitive to the applied loading rate.  相似文献

In ultrasonic-vibration drawing, wires are drawn while ultrasonic vibration is applied to a drawing die. Prior studies provide experimental proof that ultrasonic-vibration drawing reduces drawing resistance, improves lubrication and prevents wire breakage. In the future, ultrasonic-vibration drawing is expected to contribute to the drawing of difficult-to-draw materials and operations, such as shaped wires, ultrafine wires, and the wire drawing operation in semidry or dry condition. However, a detailed analysis and understanding of the mechanism of improvement is not possible on the basis of conventional experimental observations because the ultrasonic-vibration processing phenomenon occurs at high speed. Therefore, we attempted to understand the processing mechanism of ultrasonic-vibration drawing using the finite element method (FEM). ABAQUS was used for the FEM. Drawing force and stress–strain distributions in drawn wires were analyzed. From these studies, we quantitatively clarified the mechanism of improved drawing characteristics, such as decreased drawing force.  相似文献

Bug fixing accounts for a large amount of the software maintenance resources. Generally, bugs are reported, fixed, verified and closed. However, in some cases bugs have to be re-opened. Re-opened bugs increase maintenance costs, degrade the overall user-perceived quality of the software and lead to unnecessary rework by busy practitioners. In this paper, we study and predict re-opened bugs through a case study on three large open source projects—namely Eclipse, Apache and OpenOffice. We structure our study along four dimensions: (1) the work habits dimension (e.g., the weekday on which the bug was initially closed), (2) the bug report dimension (e.g., the component in which the bug was found) (3) the bug fix dimension (e.g., the amount of time it took to perform the initial fix) and (4) the team dimension (e.g., the experience of the bug fixer). We build decision trees using the aforementioned factors that aim to predict re-opened bugs. We perform top node analysis to determine which factors are the most important indicators of whether or not a bug will be re-opened. Our study shows that the comment text and last status of the bug when it is initially closed are the most important factors related to whether or not a bug will be re-opened. Using a combination of these dimensions, we can build explainable prediction models that can achieve a precision between 52.1–78.6 % and a recall in the range of 70.5–94.1 % when predicting whether a bug will be re-opened. We find that the factors that best indicate which bugs might be re-opened vary based on the project. The comment text is the most important factor for the Eclipse and OpenOffice projects, while the last status is the most important one for Apache. These factors should be closely examined in order to reduce maintenance cost due to re-opened bugs.  相似文献

Recently, we revealed a standard pattern of a macroscopic molecular network for controlling morphogenetic processes such as the development of organs, including blast, mesoderm, heart, and hands during about sevenfold cell divisions and a standard bio-chemical clock like the circadian one (Naitoh in Artif Life Robot 13, 2008; Japan J Ind Appl Math 28(1), 2011; J Phys Conf Ser 344, 2012; Artif Life Robot 17, 2012) A network model derived logically based on experimental observations is described by a nonlinear differential equation for predicting time evolutions of six macroscopic molecular groups: three gene groups and three enzyme groups, which include promoting and suppressing factors. Here, the macroscopic model extended for also describing aging processes shows various types of cycles and reveals the physical condition for determining whether or not living beings such as humans can survive after getting ill. It is stressed that, after becoming ill, living systems with overly fast generation of information molecules such as various genes end in death, whereas relatively fast production of enzymes leads to recovery. This may also explain an essential feature underlying carcinogenic processes.  相似文献

To improve the performance of embedded processors, an effective technique is collapsing critical computation subgraphs as application-specific instruction set extensions and executing them on custom functional units. The problem with this approach is the immense cost and the long times required to design a new processor for each application. As a solution to this issue, we propose an adaptive extensible processor in which custom instructions (CIs) are generated and added after chip-fabrication. To support this feature, custom functional units are replaced by a reconfigurable matrix of functional units (FUs). A systematic quantitative approach is used for determining the appropriate structure of the reconfigurable functional unit (RFU). We also introduce an integrated framework for generating mappable CIs on the RFU. Using this architecture, performance is improved by up to 1.33, with an average improvement of 1.16, compared to a 4-issue in-order RISC processor. By partitioning the configuration memory, detecting similar/subset CIs and merging small CIs, the size of the configuration memory is reduced by 40%.  相似文献
