A distributed frequency agile medium access control (MAC) extension to the IEEE 802.11s for the next generation wireless mesh networks is proposed. The introduced protocol enhancements are capable of concurrent deployment of existing frequency opportunities in order to coordinate simultaneous data transmissions. The root concept is mainly based on the deployment of well-known ISM frequency bands, where the legacy 802.11-based wireless equipments operate, as the common control channel in order to establish contemporaneous transmissions. We apply the aforementioned key concept to the IEEE 802.11s common channel framework to attain two important goals: To improve the channel utilization using the concept of cognitive radio, and to lower the access delay. Through extensive event-driven simulations, taking into account primary user appearance in non-ISM frequency bands, performance of the proposed MAC enhancement is evaluated showing its higher efficiency compared to the existing solutions, in addition to its better wireless medium management. 相似文献
In 100% inspection, measurement errors are unavoidable. Due to these errors, acceptable products are sometimes rejected (overkill) and defective products are accepted (escape). Overkill increases production costs, while escape is a source of customer dissatisfaction. This study presents a model for calculating overkill and escape rates using process and measurement system performance data. A practical example of applying the model is also presented to calculate gage reproducibility and repeatability requirements for different production settings. Industrial managers and quality engineers can utilize the results of this study to calculate escape and overkill rates of their production systems, and to assess and improve their processes. 相似文献
Iron aluminide (FeAl) inter-metallic compounds are potential candidates for structural applications at high temperatures owing to their superior corrosion resistance, high temperature oxidation, low density and inexpensive material cost. However, the presence of defects can lead to reduction in the strength and ductility of FeAl-based materials. Here we present a density functional theory (DFT) study of the effect of the presence of defects including Fe and Al vacancies as well as H dopants at the substitutional and interstitial sites at a \(\sum {{{{5}\left[ {{21}0} \right]} \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {{{5}\left[ {{21}0} \right]} {\left( {\overline{1}\overline{2}0} \right)}}} \right. \kern-\nulldelimiterspace} {\left( {\overline{1}\overline{2}0} \right)}}}\) FeAl grain boundary focusing on the energetics. The plane wave pseudopotential code Vienna Ab initio Simulation Package (VASP) in the generalized gradient approximation (GGA) is used to carry out the computations. The formation energy calculations showed that intrinsic defects such as Fe and Al vacancies probably form at the GB, indicated by their negative formation energies. These vacancies can further form defect complexes with H impurities, indicated by lowered formation energies, compact bonds and charge gain of H atoms. Electronic structure analysis showed stronger hybridization of 1s orbitals of H with Fe and Al atoms, which leads to the stabilization of these defects resulting in degradation of material strength.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the occurrence of reactive oxygen species and peroxynitrite in the vestibular organ of the guinea pig following inoculation with bacterial lipopolysaccharide (LPS). The animals were injected transtympanically with 1 mg of LPS 24 h after the intraperitoneal injection of 0.1 mg LPS. Forty-eight hours after the inoculation, varying degrees of degeneration of the vestibular end organs were observed. Immunohistochemical study revealed immunoreactivity to xanthine oxidase (which generates O-2) in the vestibular organ after inoculation with LPS. Immunohistochemical investigation with a specific antinitrotyrosine antibody also showed intense staining of sensory epithelium, fluid transporting cells and the endolymphatic sac, suggesting formation of peroxynitrite in the vestibular organ through the reaction of NO with O-2. On the basis of these data, it can be concluded that NO together with O-2, which form more reactive peroxynitrite, may be the most important pathogenic agents in LPS-induced labyrinthitis in the guinea pig. 相似文献
The effects of n-3 fatty acid supplementation in the form of fresh fish, fish oil, and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) oil on the
fatty acid composition of plasma lipid fractions, and platelets and erythrocyte membranes of young healthy male students were
examined. Altogether 59 subjects (aged 19–32 yr, body mass index 16.8–31.3 kg/m2) were randomized into the following diet groups: (i) control group; (ii) fish diet group eating fish meals five times per
week [0.38±0.04 g eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and 0.67±0.09 g DHA per day]; (iii) DHA oil group taking algae-derived DHA oil
capsules (1.68 g/d DHA oil group taking algae-derived DHA oil capsules (1.68 g/d DHA in triglyceride form); and (iv) fish
oil group (1.33 g EPA and 0.95 g DHA/d as free fatty acids) for 14 wk. The fatty acid composition of plasma lipids, platelets,
and erythrocyte membranes was analyzed by gas chromatography. The subjects kept 4-d food records four times during the study
to estimate the intake of nutrients. In the fish diet, in DHA oil, and in fish oil groups, the amounts of n-3 fatty acids
increased and those of n-6 fatty acids decreased significantly in plasma lipid fractions and in platelets and erythrocyte
membranes. A positive relationship was shown between the total n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) and EPA and DHA intake
and the increase in total n-3 PUFA and EPA and DHA in all lipid fractions analyzed. DHA was preferentially incorporated into
phospholipid (PL) and triglyceride (TG) and there was very little uptake in cholesterol ester (CE), while EPA was preferentially
incorporated into PL and CE. The proportion of EPA in plasma lipids and platelets and erythrocyte membranes increased also
by DHA supplementation, and the proportion of linoleic acid increased in platelets and erythrocyte membranes in the DHA oil
group as well. These results suggest retroconversion of DHA to EPA and that DHA also interferes with linoleic acid metabolism. 相似文献

In the hydrogenation of carbon monoxide, alkali cations were found to be effective as modifiers for highly dispersed cobalt catalyst to improve the selectivities of C2-oxygenated compounds, especially acetic acid and acetaldehyde, and to increase the olefin/paraffin ratio of hydrocarbons.
