In this study, we investigated the molecular and microstructures of thin poly(vinylidene fluoride-chlorotrifluoro ethylene) (PVDF-CTFE) copolymer films with three different CTFE compositions of 10, 15, 20 wt% with respect to PVDF in relation with their ferroelectric properties. All PVDF-CTFE annealed at 130 °C showed consecutive TTTT trans conformation with β type crystals while films molten and re-crystallized from a temperature above their melting points exhibited α type crystals with characteristic TGTG conformation. Microstructures of the films treated with the two different thermal histories also supported the formation of β and α type crystals with hundreds of nanometer scale sphere caps and micron level spherulites, respectively. Interestingly, PVDF-CTFE films with both α and β type crystals gave rise to relatively high remnant polarization of approximately 4 μC/cm2 in metal/ferroelectric/metal capacitors regardless of the composition of CTFE. The ferroelectric polarization of a PVDF-CTFE film independent of thermal processing history allowed a wide processing window and easy fabrication protocol, resulting in a non-volatile ferroelectric field effect transistor memory which exhibited saturated hysteresis loops with the current ON/OFF ratio of approximately 103 at ±60 V sweep and reliable data retention.  相似文献

This paper investigates several power allocation policies in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing -based cognitive radio networks under the different availability of inter-system channel state information (CSI) and the different capability of licensed primary users (PUs). Specifically, we deal with two types of PUs having different capabilities: a dumb (peak interference-power tolerable) PU and a more sophisticated (average interference-power tolerable) PU. For such PU models, we first formulate two optimization problems that maximize the capacity of unlicensed secondary user (SU) while maintaining the quality of service of PU under the assumption that both intra- and inter-system CSI are fully available. However, due to loose cooperation between SU and PU, it may be difficult or even infeasible for SU to obtain the full inter-system CSI. Thus, under the partial inter-system CSI setting, we also formulate another two optimization problems by introducing interference-power outage constraints. We propose optimal and efficient suboptimal power allocation policies for these four problems. Extensive numerical results demonstrate that the spectral efficiency achieved by SU with partial inter-system CSI is less than half of what is achieved with full inter-system CSI within a reasonable range of outage probability (e.g., less than 10 %). Further, it is shown that the average interference-power tolerable PU can help to increase the saturated spectral efficiency of SU by about 20 and 50 % in both cases of full and partial inter-system CSI, respectively.  相似文献

An one-pole-four-throw switch that can be used to switch between the band select filters of four cellular bands and a single input programmable low noise amplifier has been demonstrated in a 0.18-/spl mu/m complementary metal oxide semiconductor process. Its insertion losses are 0.39, 0.61, 0.66, and 0.75dB in the GSM900, DCS1800, PCS1900, and wide-band code division multiple access system bands. A low-jitter design method based on vn-domain jitter analysis for the clock and data recovery (CDR) ICs using the linear phase-locked loop (PLL) is proposed. This paper presents a single-electrode capacitive sensor using a single-bit second-order incremental delta–sigma architecture. In order to achieve high accuracy in this capacitance-to-digital converter (CDC), the shielding signal and the digitally controlled offset capacitors are used in combination with the delta–sigma CDC. This paper proposes and describes a new software and application programming interface view of an RF transceiver. It demonstrates benefits of using highly programmable digital control logic in an RF wireless system realized in a digital nanoscale CMOS process technology. It also describes a microprocessor architecture design in Digital RF Processor (DRP™) and how it controls calibration and compensation for process, temperature and voltage variations of the analog and RF circuits to meet the required RF performance. A few calibration examples to reduce a DCO bias current and improve device reliability, as well as to optimize transmit modulation and receive performance, are given. The presented circuits and techniques have enabled successful implementation of a commercial single-chip GSM radio in 90 nm CMOS.   相似文献

Many transfection techniques can deliver biomolecules into cells, but the dose cannot be controlled precisely. Delivering well-defined amounts of materials into cells is important for various biological studies and therapeutic applications. Here, we show that nanochannel electroporation can deliver precise amounts of a variety of transfection agents into living cells. The device consists of two microchannels connected by a nanochannel. The cell to be transfected is positioned in one microchannel using optical tweezers, and the transfection agent is located in the second microchannel. Delivering a voltage pulse between the microchannels produces an intense electric field over a very small area on the cell membrane, allowing a precise amount of transfection agent to be electrophoretically driven through the nanochannel, the cell membrane and into the cell cytoplasm, without affecting cell viability. Dose control is achieved by adjusting the duration and number of pulses. The nanochannel electroporation device is expected to have high-throughput delivery applications.  相似文献

In this study, poly(D,L lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) was used as a drug carrier to generate two types of stents loaded with different concentrations of sirolimus. These stents were prepared by ultrasonic atomizing spray coating. Ultrasonic atomizing spray nozzle uses a low-pressure air/gas to produce a soft, highly focused beam of small spray drops. An isolated hypotube delivers liquid to the nozzle's atomizing surface while air/gas, delivered through the nozzle orifice at a fixed low pressure, shapes the atomized drops into a very precise, targeted spray. The stent was moved both in the traverse direction and rotated during the spraying process. The morphology of the sirolimus-eluting stents was examined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) which indicated that the coating was very smooth and uniform. The coating was found to have the ability to withstand the compressive and tensile strains imparted without cracking during the stent inflation process. Release profile of sirolimus was measured by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The release behavior of sirolimus from the stent surface had a two phase release profile with a burst release period of about 2 days, followed by a sustained and slow release phase. The mass loss behavior of PLGA appeared linear throughout most of the degradation period. At 28 days, neointimal formation was found to be significantly decreased for both sirolimus-eluting stents as compared to bare-metal stents (BMS). Assessment of vascular healing revealed an absence of increased inflammation in both sirolimus-eluting stents. Inflammation is commonly observed in drug-eluting stents (DES) with nonbiodegradable polymeric coatings. Taking these results into account, these novel sirolimus-eluting stents may be good candidates to resolve in-stent restenosis.  相似文献
