The effects of hot carrier stress on a fully integrated negative resistance LC-tank CMOS oscillator are investigated. The major effect is the decrease of the amplitude of the oscillation due to degradation in the I-V characteristics of the MOSFETs. The oscillator phase noise increases with stress duration since the amplitude of the oscillation decreases. A change in the biasing of the circuit due to the stress affects the parasitic capacitances in the circuit which in turn cause a slight change in the oscillation frequency.  相似文献

This study proposes and validates a dual-risk model of the drivers and inhibitors of the adoption of a mobile e-health application for smoking cessation. This model extends existing approaches for risk taking by accounting for two opposite types of risk: the risk of using the mobile service and risks of not using it, both of which are argued to be instrumental to user decision to use healthcare support technologies. The proposed model was estimated with data collected from 422 smokers and mobile phone users in the UK and Canada. The findings suggest that adoption decisions regarding such a mobile service are driven by intrinsic and extrinsic motivations which channel the effects of the above-mentioned risk assessments on use intentions. This implies that to increase the success of mobile phone use in smoking cessation programmes, perceptions regarding both risks could be targeted.  相似文献

The aim of the paper is to present a design procedure of the optimal controller minimizing the H2‐type norm of discrete‐time stochastic linear systems with periodic coefficients simultaneously affected by a nonhomogeneous but periodic Markov chain and state and control multiplicative white noise perturbations. Firstly, two H2‐type norms for the linear stochastic systems under consideration were introduced. These H2‐type norms may be viewed as measures of the effect of the additive white noise perturbations on the regulated output of the considered system. Before deriving of the state space representation of the optimal controller, some useful formulae of the two H2‐type norms were obtained. These formulae are expressed in terms of periodic solutions of some suitable linear equations and are derived in the absence of some additional assumptions regarding the Markov chain other than the periodicity of the sequence of the transition probability matrices. Further, it is shown that the optimal H2 controller depends on the stabilizing solutions of some specific systems of coupled Riccati equations, which generalize the well‐known control and filtering equations from linear time invariant case. For the readers convenience, the paper presents iterative numerical algorithms for the computations of the stabilizing solutions of these Riccati type systems. This work reports the effect of oxygen activity on surface segregation for TiO2 co‐doped with two cations, indium and niobium (0.076 at.% In + 0.103 at.% Nb). In this work, we studied the effect of annealing at 1273 K in the gas phase of controlled oxygen activity on surface segregation of both ions. The applied oxygen activity included pure oxygen, p(O2) = 100 kPa, and argon, p(O2) = 10 Pa. The segregation‐induced concentration gradients were determined using both secondary ion mass spectrometry and X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The obtained results indicate that annealing of the studied TiO2 specimens in argon results in cooperative segregation of both ions leading to the formation of a surface structure involving comparative concentrations of both cations. However, annealing in oxygen results in preferential segregation of indium leading to the formation of a In2TiO5‐type surface structure. The obtained results are considered in terms of the effect of multicomponent segregation on processing of the surface layer with controlled properties that are desired for specific applications. The present work indicates that oxygen activity may be used as the parameter in surface engineering of the solid solution.  相似文献

The gradual changes in weight, in elementary composition, in content of oxygen functional groups and in spin concentration have been established for samples of black coal, brown coal and lignite heated in air for a maximum of 1200 h. An intensive oxidative dehydrogenation was found to occur after more than 300 h oxidation. The process was preceded by a decrease in weight and in oxygen content; its start was found to coincide with a sharp increase in the alcoholic content and in coal ability to exchange hydrogen with calcium acetate, and its rate was found to diminish simultaneously with this ability. The acidity ascribed to phenols decreases gradually but it was found to increase at the end of the experiment. A decrease in ignition temperature was established for oxidized black coal, as well as a change in the composition of low-molecular-weight hydrocarbons evolved during the subsequent gradual heating in air. Some of the changes in the composition during coal oxidation may be explained by acid catalysis.  相似文献

Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) comprise a number of autonomous sensors and one or more sinks to cooperatively monitor physical or environmental conditions. Energy efficiency is a key design factor of a MAC protocol for WSNs. Due to the importance of the problem, a number of energy efficient MAC protocols have been developed for WSNs. Preamble-sampling based MAC protocols (e.g., B-MAC and X-MAC) have overheads due to their preambles, and are inefficient at large wakeup intervals. SCP-MAC, a synchronous scheduled energy-efficient scheduling MAC protocol, minimizes the preamble by combining preamble sampling and scheduling techniques; however, it does not prevent energy loss due to overhearing; in addition, due to its synchronization procedure, it results in increased contention and delay. In this paper, we present an energy efficient MAC protocol for WSNs that avoids overhearing and reduces contention and delay by asynchronously scheduling the wakeup time of neighboring nodes. We provide an energy consumption analysis for multi-hop networks. To validate our design and analysis, we implement the proposed scheme in TinyOS. Experimental results show that AS-MAC considerably reduces energy consumption, packet loss and delay when compared with existing energy efficient MAC protocols.  相似文献

Currently the research on product satisfaction is evolving to integrate pleasure and delight alongside other, more traditional needs. Pleasure and delight are emotional and hedonic benefits experienced by the user when interacting with the product. Thus, user satisfaction models have to deal with high complexity of product properties that collectively contribute to satisfaction. The formulation of these models has to include not only a proper taxonomy, but also the organization of such properties in categories and their relation to well defined satisfaction dimensions. Successful models would help to find out the most effective technical and design specifications (engineering parameters) that give shape to specific attributes of design, sometimes called “brand feelings”, defined in accordance with the business strategy. The objective of this paper is to present a user satisfaction modeling framework that deals with the complexity of an in-car user interface, namely the audio one. The proposed framework defines three distinct types of product properties: engineering parameters (P), perceived product attributes (A) and satisfaction dimensions (D) and presents a methodology to link the perceived product attributes (A) to satisfaction dimension (D).  相似文献
