This paper reports a novel procedure to infiltrate nanocrystalline diamond films (NCD) on porous silicon (PS) substrate. The NCD/PS films resulted in a composite material, with great potential for electrochemical application, mainly due to its high active surface area. The Hot Filament Chemical Vapor Deposition reactor was changed to Hot Filament Chemical Vapor Infiltration reactor in order to grow NCD films infiltrated into deep holes of PS substrate. This procedure allowed the infiltration of the reacting gases into the porous structure where the nucleation takes place, followed by the coalescence and film formation at pore bottoms and walls. In this configuration an additional entrance of CH4 was located next to the PS substrate using two distinct positions called “underneath” and “above”, with the use of the additional flow accurately underneath or above of the samples. In general, the combination of these two configurations with additional carbon sources provided NCD film infiltration in PS substrate with success with only 60 min of growing time. Particularly, the films obtained from the positions called “above” presented the best morphology, with high quality and crystallinity, confirmed from its scanning electron microscopy, Raman scattering spectroscopy and high resolution X-ray diffraction spectra, respectively. 相似文献

The effect of osmotic pretreatment on the mass transfer kinetics and quality of dried rehydrated Chilean papaya was researched. Osmotic treatments were sucrose solutions of 40, 50, and 60% w/w and dried at 60°C; non-pretreated samples were dried at different temperatures (40, 60, and 80°C). Quality parameters were analyzed: proximal composition, rehydration ratio, water-holding capacity, color, vitamin C content, firmness, and microstructure. Non-pretreated samples showed a clear turgor loss, color loss. and low ascorbic acid retention when rehydrated. Osmotic pretreatment improved the quality of rehydrated papayas, showing higher ascorbic acid retention and best firmness and color. Microstructure is better preserved in the pretreated papayas than in the non-pretreated samples, although this difference is minimal. 相似文献

A function-fit model for the hard breakdown current–voltage characteristics of ultra-thin oxides in metal–oxide–semiconductor structures based on the smoothing function concept is presented. The model is intended to capture the diode-like and resistance-like behaviours observed at low and high applied biases, respectively, by means of a simple, continuous and derivable function. Glucose and fructose fermentations by industrial yeasts strains are strongly affected by both the structural complexity of the nitrogen source and the availability of oxygen. In this study two Saccharomyces cerevisiae industrial wine strains were grown, under shaken and static conditions, in a media containing either a) 20% (w/v) glucose, or b) 10% (w/v) fructose and 10% (w/v) glucose or c) 20% (w/v) fructose, all supplemented with nitrogen sources varying from a single ammonium salt (ammonium sulfate) to free amino acids (casamino acids) and peptides (peptone). Data suggest that a complex structured nitrogen source is not submitted to the same control mechanisms as those involved in the utilization of simpler structured nitrogen sources, and mutual interaction between carbon and nitrogen sources, including the mechanisms involved in the regulation of aerobic/anaerobic metabolism, may play an important role in defining yeast fermentation performance and the differing response to the structural complexity of the nitrogen source, with a strong impact on fermentation performance. 相似文献

This paper is concerned with an experimental investigation to assess the influence of the additional elastic bulk stress state, as imposed by an external load, on dry reciprocating wear. Results obtained from dry reciprocating wear tests on an Al7175 alloy, in contact with a 34CrNiMo6 steel pin, are presented. It is shown that the additional elastic bulk stress has a substantial influence on the wear behaviour of the materials used in this study. It is, therefore, pertinent to take it into consideration in wear assessment. A physical model, based on micro and macro surface roughness, capable of interpreting the experimental obtained results has been developed. The model proposed is a modification of the Archard's model for the prediction of wear volume, in order to take into account elastic bulk stresses imposed by external loading. 相似文献
