(Ti, Al)N films have drawn much attention as alternatives for TiN coatings, which are oxidized easily in air above 500 °C. We have investigated the effect of Al content on the oxidation resistance of (Ti1 − xAlx)N films prepared by r.f. reactive sputtering.(Ti1 − xAlxN films (O ≤ x ≤ 0.55) were deposited onto fused quartz substrates by r.f. reactive sputtering. Composite targets with five kinds of Al-to-Ti area ratio were used. The sputtering gas was Ar (purity, 5 N) and N2 (5 N). The flow rate of Ar and N2 gas was kept constant at 0.8 and 1.2 sccm, respectively, resulting in a sputtering pressure of 0.4 Pa. The r.f. power was 300 W for all experiments. Substrates were not intentionally heated during deposition. The deposited films (thickness, 300 nm) were annealed in air at 600 900 °C and then subjected to X-ray diffractometer and Auger depth profiling.The as-deposited (Ti1 − xAlx)N films had the same crystal structure as TiN (NaCl type). Al atoms seemed to substitute for Ti in lattice sites. The preferential orientation of the films changed with the Al content of the film, x. Oxide layers of the films grew during annealing and became thicker as the annealing temperature increased. The thickness of the oxide layer grown on the film surface decreased with increasing Al content in the film. For high Al content films an Al-rich oxide layer was grown on the surface, which seemed to prevent further oxidation. All of the films, however, were oxidized by 900 °C annealing, even if the Al content was increased up to 0.55. 相似文献

Fatty acid amides (FAAs) are known elicitors that induce plants to release volatile compounds that, in turn, attract foraging
parasitoids. Since the discovery of volicitin [N-(17-hydroxylinolenoyl)-l-glutamine] in the regurgitant of larval Spodoptera exigua, a series of related FAAs have been identified in several other species of lepidopteran caterpillars. We screened 13 non-lepidopteran
insects for the presence of FAAs and found that these compounds were present in adults of two closely related cricket species,
Teleogryllus taiwanemma and T. emma (Orthoptera: Gryllidae), and larvae of the fruit fly, Drosophila melanogaster (Diptera: Drosophilidae). When analyzed by liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry-ion trap-time-of-flight (LCMS-IT-TOF),
the gut contents of both crickets had nearly identical FAA composition, the major FAAs comprising N-linolenoyl-l-glutamic acid and N-linoleoyl-l-glutamic acid. There were also two previously uncharacterized FAAs that were thought to be hydroxylated derivatives of these
glutamic acid conjugates, based on their observed fragmentation patterns. In addition to these four FAAs containing glutamic

In D. melanogaster, N-linolenoyl-l-glutamic acid and N-linoleoyl-l-glutamic acid were the major FAAs found in larval extracts, while hydroxylated glutamic acid conjugates, volicitin and N-linolenoyl-l-glutamine, were detected as trace components. Seven oligotrophic yeasts, which can grow in a 104-fold dilution of malt–yeast–glucose–peptone medium (10−4 YM), were mainly isolated from soil. These yeasts belong to the Cryptococcaceae. When inoculated at about 102 cells/ml in 10−4 YM, the isolates grew to 1·4×103–2·4×105 cells/ml after 3 days. Some culture collection yeasts fell into three groups according to their growth characteristics in 10−4 YM, one group showing characteristics of the oligotrophic yeasts. The half-saturation values of uptake by the five isolated oligotrophic yeasts for D-glucose, L-leucine and L-amino acids were 6·0–25·0, 1·7–43·3 and 3·5–21·6 μM, respectively. OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the effect of dosage regimen (once-daily vs. twice-daily) of tobramicyn on steady-state serum concentrations and toxicity. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Patients undergoing treatment with i.v. tobramycin (4 mg/kg/day) were randomised to two groups. Group OD (n = 22) received a once-daily dose of tobramycin and group TD (n = 21) received the same dose divided into two doses daily. Tobramycin serum concentrations (peak and trough) were measured by enzyme multiplied immunoassay. The renal and auditory functions of the patients were monitored before, during and immediately after treatment. RESULTS: The two groups were comparable with respect to sex, age, body weight and renal function. No statistically significant differences were found in mean daily dose, duration of treatment, or cumulative dose. Trough concentrations were < 2 g/ml in the two groups (100%). Peak concentrations were > 6 microg/ml in 100% of the OD group and in 67% of the TD group (P< 0.01). Mean peak concentrations were markedly different: 11.00+/-2.89 microg/ml in OD vs. 6.53+/-1.45 microg/ml in TD (P< 0.01). The pharmacokinetics parameters were: Ke, (0.15+/-0.03/h in OD vs. 0.24+/-0.06/h in TD), t1/2, (4.95+/-1.41 h in OD vs. 3.07+/-0.71 h in TD), Vd (0.35+/-0.11 l/kg in OD vs. 0.33+/-0.09 l/kg in TD), Cl (0.86+/-0.29 ml/min/kg in OD vs. 1.28+/-0.33 ml/min/kg in TD). Increased serum creatinine was observed in 73% of patients in OD versus 57% of patients in TD, without evidence of nephrotoxicity. In TD group, three patients developed decreased auditory function, of which one presented with an auditory loss of -30 dB, whereas in the OD group only one patient presented decreased auditory function. CONCLUSION: This small study suggests that a once-daily dosing regimen of tobramycin is at least as effective as and is no more and possibly less toxic than the twice-daily regimen. Using a single-dose therapy, peak concentration determination is not necessary, only trough samples should be monitored to ensure levels below 2 microg/ml. 相似文献

A combined system of microwave imaging reflectometry and electron cyclotron emission (ECE) imaging has been developed for the Large Helical Device. This system includes a wide-band two-dimensional horn-antenna mixer array (HMA). The HMA consists of horn antennas, waveguides, mixers, and intermediate frequency circuits. A diagnostic technique that can estimate quantitatively wear amounts under lubricated condition was developed using our developed on-line particle counter. Wear tests were carried out by rubbing a bearing metal against a carbon steel in paraffin oil. The size and number of wear debris in the circulating oil could be measured in real time. The volume of each debris was calculated and, additionally, the total wear amount during a given duration was calculated by accumulating all debris volume. The wear amounts obtained by the quantitative estimation were fairly similar to the measured values of mass loss of the specimen. 相似文献
