A solid-state implementation of a universal set of gates for quantum computation is proposed and analysed using a time-dependent 2D Schrödinger solver. The qubit is defined as the state of an electron propagating along a couple of quantum wires. The wires are suitably coupled through a potential barrier with variable height and/or width. It is shown how a proper design of the system allows the implementation of any one-qubit transformation. The two-qubit gate is realized through a Coulomb coupler able to entangle the quantum states of two electrons running in two wires of two different qubits. The simulated devices are GaAs—AlGaAs heterostructures that should be on the borderline of present semiconductor technology. An estimate of decoherence effects due to phonon scattering is also presented.  相似文献

Pd and PdAu catalysts supported on SBA15 and SiO2 were prepared and investigated for H2O2 direct synthesis in a batch autoclave (10 °C and 17.5 bar) and in the absence of halides and acids. The SiO2 supported catalysts exhibited inferior performances compared to the mesoporous ordered SBA15. A good control of both the catalysts dispersion and nanoparticle stability was achieved using SBA15. Catalysts were doped with bromine, a promoter in the H2O2 direct synthesis. Productivity and selectivity decreased when bromine was incorporated in the catalysts, thus indicating a possible poisoning due to the grafting process. A synergetic effect between Pd and Au was observed both in presence and absence of bromopropylsilane grafting on the catalyst surface. Three modifiers of the SBA15 support (Al, CeO2 and Ti) were chosen to elucidate the influence of the surface properties on metal dispersion and catalytic performance. Higher productivity and selectivity were achieved incorporating Al into the SBA15 framework, whereas neither Ti nor CeO2 improved H2O2 yields. The enhanced performance observed for the Prau/Al–SBA15 catalysts was attributed to the increased number of Brønsted acid sites. A modification of this catalyst with bromine was confirmed to impair both productivity and selectivity, possibly due to the broader particle size distribution and the poor stability of the metal nanoparticles, as demonstrate by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) images. H2O2 disproportionation was also investigated. A much slower reaction rate was observed compared to the H2O2 production, suggesting that the major contributor in the process of H2O2 destruction must be connected to the hydrogenation reaction.  相似文献

High-manganese austenitic steels were recently proposed to fabricate structural car body parts because of their very favorable combination of strength and ductility. They exhibit Portevin–Le Chatelier macroscopic plastic localization phenomena at the room temperature, as evidenced by the tensile curves first by the isolated stress peaks corresponding to the nucleation of deformation bands, which travel along the tensile axis, and then by serrations due to static deformation bands. The bands extend to the whole width of the specimen and cause a local temperature increase along with a slight surface relief. These plastic instabilities were studied during tensile tests at strain rates between 0.0004 and 0.04 s?1, with optical video recording, infrared thermography and optical extensometry, the latter based on digital image correlation. Two types of bands, type A and type C, were observed and are described.  相似文献

Severe or major burns induce a pathophysiological, immune, and inflammatory response that can persist for a long time and affect morbidity and mortality. Severe burns are followed by a “hypermetabolic response”, an inflammatory process that can be extensive and become uncontrolled, leading to a generalized catabolic state and delayed healing. Catabolism causes the upregulation of inflammatory cells and innate immune markers in various organs, which may lead to multiorgan failure and death. Burns activate immune cells and cytokine production regulated by damage-associated molecular patterns (DAMPs). Trauma has similar injury-related immune responses, whereby DAMPs are massively released in musculoskeletal injuries and elicit widespread systemic inflammation. Hemorrhagic shock is the main cause of death in trauma. It is hypovolemic, and the consequence of volume loss and the speed of blood loss manifest immediately after injury. In burns, the shock becomes evident within the first 24 h and is hypovolemic-distributive due to the severely compromised regulation of tissue perfusion and oxygen delivery caused by capillary leakage, whereby fluids shift from the intravascular to the interstitial space. In this review, we compare the pathophysiological responses to burns and trauma including their associated clinical patterns.  相似文献

We report a comparative study on the self-assembly from solution and electrical characterization of n-type semiconducting fibres obtained from five different perylenebis(dicarboximide) (PDI) derivatives. In particular we investigated the role of the nature of the alkyl chain covalently linked to the N,N' sites of the PDI in modulating the molecular solubility and aggregation capacity. We explored the morphologies of the self-assembled architectures physisorbed on dielectric surfaces and in particular how they can be modified by tuning the deposition and post-deposition procedures, i.e. by modulating the kinetics of the self-assembly process. To this end, alongside the conventional spin-coating, solvent vapour annealing (SVA) and solvent induced precipitation (SIP) have been employed. Both approaches led to fibres having widths of several hundred nanometres and lengths up to tens of micrometres. SVA formed isolated fibres which were tens of nanometres high, flat, and tapered at the ends. Conversely, SIP fibres exhibited nearly matching heights and widths, but organized into bundles. Despite these morphological differences, the same intermolecular packing is found by XRD in each type of structure, albeit with differing degrees of long-range order. The study of the electrical characteristics of the obtained low dimensional nano-assemblies has been accomplished by fabricating and characterizing organic field-effect transistors.  相似文献

Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) have been derived from multiple sources of the horse including umbilical cord blood (UCB) and amnion. This work aimed to identify and characterize stem cells from equine amniotic fluid (AF), CB and Wharton's Jelly (WJ). Samples were obtained from 13 mares at labour. AF and CB cells were isolated by centrifugation, while WJ was prepared by incubating with an enzymatic solution for 2 h. All cell lines were cultured in DMEM/TCM199 plus fetal bovine serum. Fibroblast-like cells were observed in 7/10 (70%) AF, 6/8 (75%) CB and 8/12 (66.7%) WJ samples. Statistically significant differences were found between cell-doubling times (DTs): cells isolated from WJ expanded more rapidly (2.0±0.6 days) than those isolated from CB (2.6±1.3 days) and AF (2.3±1.0 days) (P<0.05). Positive von Kossa and Alizarin Red S staining confirmed osteogenesis. Alcian Blue staining of matrix glycosaminoglycans illustrated chondrogenesis and positive Oil Red O lipid droplets staining suggested adipogenesis. All cell lines isolated were positive for CD90, CD44, CD105; and negative for CD34, CD14 and CD45. These findings suggest that equine MSCs from AF, UCB and WJ appeared to be a readily obtainable and highly proliferative cell lines from a uninvasive source that may represent a good model system for stem cell biology and cellular therapy applications in horses. However, to assess their use as an allogenic cell source, further studies are needed for evaluating the expression of markers related to cell immunogenicity.  相似文献
