Analysis of the laser-cladding process for stellite on steel   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
Laser-cladding experiments have been performed with STELLITE 6 powder on mild steel substrates, using a 1.5 kW linearly polarized continuous wave CO2 laser as a heat source. The clad height, the mass efficiency, the dimensions of the melt pool, as well as the global absorptivity, were measured as functions of the powder feed rate and the scanning speed. A quantitative analytical model of the process is proposed, based on the overall mass and energy balance. It allows the calculation of the mass efficiency and of the global absorptivity, taking into account the incorporation of the powder into the melt pool as well as the energy absorbed by the powder jet and the substrate. It successfully explains the experimental results and demonstrates the role played by the melt pool inclination with respect to the substrate. A processing diagram is given to find rapidly the optimal laser treatment conditions and the desired clad height. It is discussed with respect to the other limiting conditions of the process, the geometrical maximum powder efficiency, the porosity, the dilution, and the maximum power of the laser installation.  相似文献

Care must be exercised, in predicting operating costs for membrane desalination systems for electricity, labor, chemicals, etc. The assumptions made in establishing unit costs can greatly affect the predicted operating cost and hence the ultimate investment decision. The use of data estimating the quantities of chemicals, power, etc., expected to be used per unit of production can assist in predicting costs, as then site-specific cost data can be used. The fact that 0.2 pounds of acid per kgal of permeate is required in a Florida RO plant is more useful for predicting operating costs of an RO plant on the Island of Anegata than is the fact that acid costs at the Florida plant are $0.03/kgal of water produced. Data based on units rather than costs are presented for seven RO facilities and one ED facility in this paper for use in this type of analysis.  相似文献

The bonding of solid steel plate to liquid aluminum was studied using rapid solidification. The relationship models of interfacial shear strength and thickness of interfacial layer of bonding plate vs bonding parameters ( such as preheat temperature of steel plate, temperature of aluminum liquid and bonding time ) were respectively established by artificial neural networks perfectly. The bonding parameters for the largest interfacial shear strength were optimized with genetic algorithm successfully. They are 226℃ for preheating temperature of steel plate, 723℃ for temperature of aluminum liquid and 15.8s for bonding time, and the largest interfacial shear strength of bonding plate is 71.6MPa. Under these conditions, the corresponding reasonable thickness of interfacial layer (10.8μm) is gotten using the relationship model established by artificial neural networks.  相似文献

The bubble deformation processes were reported when gas was injected into polymer melt flow field in another paper, the experiments showed that the deformation was severely affected by the volume of the bubble, and in turn, for the different bubbles, several different deformation processes were presented during their movement along the flow channel. In addition, we could find that the magnitude of the bubble volume was dependent upon the pressure difference of the gas injection pressure and the melt pressure, In this paper, more experimental conditions were changed to investigate the parameters relevant to the detachment of bubbles from the injection nozzle. The experimental results show that the pressure difference, the melt flow velocity as well as the melt pressure were all critical for the purameters, such as the bubble detachment time, the maximum bubble diometers and the magnitude of the bubble volume. The morphology changes of bubble were very large when the flow field was abruptly changed, and the situations were more complicated.  相似文献

The effect of rare-earth and HX addition agent on the burn-ability of silicate cement dinker was investigated by orthogonal experiment. The result shows, compared with blank sample, f CaO of the .samples added with rare-earth and HX agent drops by 84.95% , its 3 d and 28d compressive strength enhances by 24.40% and 16.90% , respectively. It was discovered by means of X-ray diffrnction and high temperature microscope analysis that sintering temperature of the sample added with rare-earth and HX addition agent is about 1320℃. At the same time, the tmrning temperature of triealeium silicate desends and its crystal growth forming- rate increases. Tricalcium silicate content in burning clinker is higher and its crystal is larger.  相似文献

The PAn-PEO-PAn triblock copolymer with the PEG chain length of 400 was synthesized by chemical oxidation copolymerization of aniline and α,ω-bis(p-aminophenyl)poly(ethylene glycol)and characterized by FT-IR and TEM.The experimental results show that the copolymer particles are of μtypical core-shell structure after the self-assembly process in water.Its conductivity is much lower than that of the pure PAn.The suspension containing 20 vol% PAn-PEO-PAn tiblock copolymer in silicone oil exhibits.a typical electrorheological (ER) effect in DC electric field.while it shows a lower leakage current density than that of the pure PAn-based ER fluids.Therefore,the PEO shell hinders the electric hop among PANI chains and decreases the current density of ER fluids in an external electric field.at the same time the interface polarity improves the ER effects.  相似文献

Together with some on-line measurements, a reliable process model is the key ingredient of a successful state observer design. In common practice, the model parameters are inferred from experimental data so as to minimize a model prediction error, e.g. so as to minimize an output least-squares criterion. In this procedure, no care is actually exercised to ensure that the unmeasured model states are sensitive to the measured states. In turn, if sensitivity is too low, the resulting state observer will probably generate poor estimates of the unmeasured states. To alleviate these problems, a new parameter identification procedure is proposed in this study, which is based on a cost function combining a conventional prediction error criterion with a state estimation sensitivity measure. Minimization of this combined cost function produces a model dedicated to state estimation purposes. A thorough analysis of the procedure is presented in the context of bioreactor modeling, including parameter identification, model validation and design of extended Kalman filters and full horizon observers.  相似文献

Identification of pseudo-stoichiometric (or yield) coefficients is of primary importance for building a bioprocess model. In most of the applications, the estimation of these coefficients has to be performed without any knowledge of the kinetics and on the basis of a few experiments for which noisy discrete measurements of component concentrations are available. This paper proposes maximum likelihood estimators which are able to deal with measurement errors on all the signals, at each sampling time (including the initial one) and with intrinsic sign constraints on the parameters. This kind of realistic hypotheses exclude the use of the usual (weighted) least-squares estimators. The maximum likelihood estimators are proved to be unbiased (provided a first-order approximation) and their estimation error covariance matrix can be computed (at the same level of first-order approximation). The solutions are proposed in a very general framework, dealing with cell cultures (of bacteria, yeasts or animal cells) performed in stirred tank (continuous, semi-batch or batch) reactors, and without any a priori knowledge on the kinetics. The use of the estimators and their statistical properties are illustrated in a simulation case study (fed-batch bacterial cultures) and in a real case one (batch animal cell cultures).  相似文献
