The room temperature photoelectric response of undoped and lithium-doped Zn1–xMgxTe (0 x 0.50) alloys has been measured in the wavelength range 0.50 3.0 m. The response curve for undoped samples is characterized by a single peak in the band edge region. The peak shifts with composition in accordance with the expected shift in the energy band gap. Lithium-doped samples show an additional peak centred at 1.04 eV for all compositions. This peak is attributed to photo-generated holes in the split-off band created as the result of electronic transitions to shallow acceptor impurities. 相似文献

The analysis of remote sensing image areas is needed for climate detection and management, especially for monitoring flood disasters in critical environments and applications. Satellites are mostly used to detect disasters on Earth, and they have advantages in capturing Earth images. Using the control technique, Earth images can be used to obtain detailed terrain information. Since the acquisition of satellite and aerial imagery, this system has been able to detect floods, and with increasing convenience, flood detection has become more desirable in the last few years. In this paper, a Big Data Set-based Progressive Image Classification Algorithm (PICA) system is introduced to implement an image processing technique, detect disasters, and determine results with the help of the PICA, which allows disaster analysis to be extracted more effectively. The PICA is essential to overcoming strong shadows, for proper access to disaster characteristics to false positives by operators, and to false predictions that affect the impact of the disaster. The PICA creates tailoring and adjustments obtained from satellite images before training and post-disaster aerial image data patches. Coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) is a life-threatening infectious disease caused by a newly discovered strain of the coronaviruses. As by the end of 2020, Covid-19 is still not fully understood, but like other similar viruses, the main mode of transmission or spread is believed to be through droplets from coughs and sneezes of infected persons. The accurate detection of Covid-19 cases poses some questions to scientists and physicians. The two main kinds of tests available for Covid-19 are viral tests, which tells you whether you are currently infected and antibody test, which tells if you had been infected previously. Routine Covid-19 test can take up to 2 days to complete; in reducing chances of false negative results, serial testing is used. Medical image processing by means of using Chest X-ray images and Computed Tomography (CT) can help radiologists detect the virus. This imaging approach can detect certain characteristic changes in the lung associated with Covid-19. In this paper, a deep learning model or technique based on the Convolutional Neural Network is proposed to improve the accuracy and precisely detect Covid-19 from Chest Xray scans by identifying structural abnormalities in scans or X-ray images. Soft-grain materials such as clays and other colloidal pastes share the common feature of being composed of grains that can undergo large deformations without rupture. For the simulation of such materials, we present two alternative methods: (1) an implicit formulation of the material point method (MPM), in which each grain is discretized as a collection of material points, and (2) the bonded particle model (BPM), in which each soft grain is modeled as an aggregate of rigid particles using the contact dynamics method. In the MPM, a linear elastic behavior is used for the grains. In order to allow the aggregates in the BPM to deform without breaking, we use long-range center-to-center attraction forces between the primary particles belonging to each grain together with steric repulsion at their contact points. We show that these interactions lead to a plastic behavior of the grains. Using both methods, we analyze the uniaxial compaction of 2D soft granular packings. This process is nonlinear and involves both grain rearrangements and large deformations. High packing fractions beyond the jamming state are reached as a result of grain shape change for both methods. We discuss the stress-strain and volume change behavior as well as the evolution of the connectivity of the grains. The buckling and vibration of thick rectangular nanoplates is analyzed in this article. A graphene sheet is theoretically assumed and modeled as a nanoplate in this study. The two-variable refined plate theory (RPT) is applied to obtain the differential equations of the nanoplate. The theory accounts for parabolic variation of transverse shear stress through the thickness of the plate without using a shear correction factor. Besides, the analysis is based on the nonlocal theory of elasticity to take the small-scale effects into account. For the first time, the finite strip method (FSM) based on RPT is employed to study the vibration and buckling behavior of nanoplates and graphene sheets. Hamilton’s principle is employed to obtain the differential equations of the nanoplate. The stiffness, stability and mass matrices of the nanoplate are formed using the FSM. The displacement functions of the strips are evaluated using continuous harmonic function series which satisfy the boundary conditions in one direction and a piecewise interpolation polynomial in the other direction. A matrix eigenvalue problem is solved to find the free vibration frequency and buckling load of the nanoplates subjected to different types of in-plane loadings including the uniform and nonuniform uni-axial and biaxial compression. Comparison studies are presented to verify the validity and accuracy of the proposed nonlocal refined finite strip method. Furthermore, a number of examples are presented to investigate the effects of various parameters (e.g., boundary conditions, nonlocal parameter, aspect ratio, type of loading) on the results. 相似文献

In recent years, implementing coordination mechanisms in decentralised supply chains to reduce the well-known negative effects of decentralisation, such as the ‘bullwhip effect’, has become a considerable challenge. Furthermore, with the dramatic developments in information and communication technologies, real-time information sharing has become increasingly easier to implement. In this work, we study a mono-product divergent supply chain composed of a supplier, a warehouse, retailers and customers in the context of decentralised and centralised decisions. The main objective of this study is to compare a decentralised supply chain combined with different scenarios of simultaneous upstream and downstream information sharing vs. a centralised supply chain. A mathematical model is developed to compare the logistics costs in the two decision contexts. The experimental results clearly show that the simultaneous sharing of customer demand and supplier-warehouse lead time information in a decentralised supply chain yields nearly equivalent logistics costs as the centralised supply chain context. However, the main beneficiary of the sharing is the warehouse, which receives approximately two-thirds of the benefit. Thus, incentives and revenue sharing contracts should be implemented to motivate and balance the benefits between supply chain partners. 相似文献

At universities where students enjoy flexibility in selecting courses, the Registrar’s office aims to generate an appropriate
exam timetable for numerous courses and large number of students. An appropriate, real-world exam timetable should show fairness
towards all students, respecting the following constraints: (a) eliminating or minimizing the number of simultaneous exams;
(b) minimizing the number of consecutive exams; (c) minimizing the number of students with two or three exams per day (d) eliminating
the possibility of more than three exams per day (e) exams should fit in rooms with predefined capacity; and (f) the number
of exam periods is limited. These constraints are conflicting, which makes exam timetabling intractable. Hence, solving this
problem in realistic time requires the use of heuristic approaches. In this work, we develop an evolutionary heuristic technique
based on the scatter search approach for finding good suboptimal solutions for exam timetabling. This approach is based on
maintaining and evolving a population of solutions. We evaluate our suggested technique on real-world university data and
compare our results with the registrar’s manual timetable in addition to the timetables of other heuristic optimization algorithms.
The experimental results show that our adapted scatter search technique generates better timetables than those produced by
the registrar, manually, and by other meta-heuristics. 相似文献

In recent years, various heuristic optimization methods have been developed. Many of these methods are inspired by swarm behaviors in nature. In this paper, a new optimization algorithm based on the law of gravity and mass interactions is introduced. In the proposed algorithm, the searcher agents are a collection of masses which interact with each other based on the Newtonian gravity and the laws of motion. The proposed method has been compared with some well-known heuristic search methods. Sensory evaluation is the application of knowledge and skills derived from several different scientific and technical disciplines, physiology, chemistry, mathematics and statistics, human behavior, and knowledge about product preparation practices. This research was aimed to evaluate aftertaste sensory attributes of commercial non-alcoholic beer brands (P1, P2, P3, P4, P5, P6, P7) by several chemometric tools. These attributes were bitter, sour, sweet, fruity, liquorice, artificial, body, intensity and duration. The results showed that the data are in a good consistency. Therefore, the brands were statistically classified in several categories. Linear techniques as Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA) were performed over the data that revealed all types of beer are well separated except a partial overlapping between zones corresponding to P4, P6 and P7. In this research, for the confirmation of the groups observed in PCA and in order to calculate the errors in calibration and in validation, PLS-DA technique was used. Based on the quantitative data of PLS-DA, the classification accuracy values were ranked within 49-86%. Moreover, it was found that the classification accuracy of LDA was much better than PCA. It shows that this trained sensory panel can discriminate among the samples except an overlapping between two types of beer. Also, two types of artificial networks were used: Probabilistic Neural Networks (PNN) with Radial Basis Functions (RBF) and FeedForward Networks with Back Propagation (BP) learning method. The highest classification success rate (correct predicted number over total number of measurements) of about 97% was obtained for RBF followed by 94% for BP. The results obtained in this study could be used as a reference for electronic nose and electronic tongue in beer quality control. 相似文献
