Egyptian mango seeds were collected as wastes from local fruit processing units and the kernels were separated and dried. This study was carried out on mango seed kernels to clarify their proximate composition, amino acids, phenolic compounds and the characteristics of the extracted oil including unsaponifiable matter constituents, lipid classes and fatty acid composition. Mango seed kernels contained a considerable amount of total phenolic compounds, total lipid, unsaponifiable matter, and a low amount of crude protein, but the quality of protein was good because it was rich in all essential amino acids. Eight phenolic compounds were identified; tannin and vanillin were in highest amounts. Unsaponifiable matter showed the occurrence of high amounts of squaline followed by sterols and tocopherols. Stearic acid was the main saturated fatty acid, while oleic acid was the major unsaturated fatty acid in all lipid classes. The fatty acid composition of total lipid and neutral lipid was similar, while phospholipid had a high amount of palmitic, linoleic and linolenic acids. 相似文献

Utilizing response surface methodology, the conversion of vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) was monitored when the polymerization temperature, the type of surfactant, and the weight ratio of water‐to‐monomer (W/M) were taken as the emulsion polymerization variables. Because the homogeneous nucleation was found to be the dominant mechanism in VCM emulsion polymerization, irrespective of the surfactant concentration, the whole experiments have been carried out below critical micelle concentration of the used surfactants. Among all the studied variables, the polymerization temperature appeared as the most effective parameter; moreover, its interactive effect with W/M caused different trends in the alteration of final conversion being observed. Also, depending on the reaction temperature, the VCM conversion would be affected by the type of the surfactant used. Contrarily, simultaneous change in the type of surfactant and W/M revealed an insignificant effect on the evolution of VCM conversion. The optimization of final conversion of VCM was also accessible through contour plots of response surface methodology. The bootstrap method is a computer intensive statistical method that is widely used in performing nonparametric inference. Categorical data analysis, in particular the analysis of contingency tables, is commonly used in applied field. This work considers nonparametric bootstrap tests for the analysis of contingency tables. There are only a few research papers which exploit this field. The p-values of tests in contingency tables are discrete and should be uniformly distributed under the null hypothesis. The results of this article show that corresponding bootstrap versions work better than the standard tests. Properties of the proposed tests are illustrated and discussed using Monte Carlo simulations. This article concludes with an analytical example that examines the performance of the proposed tests and the confidence interval of the association coefficient. 相似文献

Hot-rolled steel coils are stored upon manufacturing to cool to about 50°C. High temperatures of coiling cause thermal stresses during the cooling stage that result in spot welding between strip layers of coil. Under these conditions, surface defects or strip ruptures may occur during uncoiling. This paper will initially introduce the heat transfer model in the coil based on stress-dependent thermal conductivity in the radial direction of the coil. The two approaches of “solid body” and “thin-walled, concentric cylinders” for thermal stress analysis will then be used to compute the thermal compressive stresses in the coil. Comparison of the results obtained from these two approaches in the mathematical model reveals that the solid body approach overestimates the thermal stresses when compared to the thin-walled concentric cylinders approach, the inequality rising with reduced strip thickness. This difference, however, is found to have no considerable impact on predicting coil temperature. 相似文献

This paper is concerned with four methods which are used to predict the failure of bodies containing notches and other stress concentration features. Two of these methods, which we call the line method (LM) and point method (PM), use parameters taken from the elastic stress field ahead of the notch. The other two methods make use of linear elastic fracture mechanics (LEFM): we call these the imaginary crack method (ICM) and finite fracture mechanics (FFM). A common feature of all the methods is the use of a material constant with the units of length, which we call the critical distance.In this work we test the hypothesis that these four methods all give similar predictions. Firstly, we show analytically that, for the simple case of a straight, through-thickness crack in an infinite body, predictions using the LM are identical to those of the ICM and FFM and, in addition, there is a very simple relationship between the critical distances for the three methods. For notches no precise relationship exists; we used both closed-form solutions and finite element analyses (FEA) to compare predictions of failure from common types of notches, such as circular holes, edge notches and slots, in large (essentially infinite) bodies. We modelled both isotropic and anisotropic materials. In all cases, we found that predictions from the four different methods were of similar magnitude, always falling within an error band of ±10%. However, large differences emerge in the case of finite bodies when the remaining width is similar in size to the critical distance; then predictions become asymptotic in different ways. These findings have practical consequences for the use of these methods in engineering design. In this paper, a new algorithm for generating more-randomized keys for symmetrical cipher one-time pad (OTP) according to the linear congruential (LCG) method based on the idea of genetic algorithm is proposed. The method, genetic-based random key generator, is proposed for generating keys for the OTP method with a high degree of key randomness; this adds more strength to the OTP method against breaking this cryptosystem. This algorithm is composed of two parts. Initially, the first population is being generated by LCG method, and then, genetic operators for generating the next populations are being used. Generating random keys with the presented method requires seven-parameter key that increases the security of communication between the transceivers. 相似文献

This paper presents a methodology to identify robust operating regions through the selection of controllable factory variables, using discrete event simulation. A casting plant melt facility was used as an industrial test bed to develop these techniques. A robust system design was determined by response surface analysis of key production parameters. Suspended nanoparticles inside the nanofluids can modify the characteristics of heated surfaces and the physical properties of the base liquids, offering a great opportunity to optimize boiling heat transfer. This paper reviews the mechanisms of nanoparticle deposition and the effects induced by deposited nanoparticles on surface roughness, force balance at the triple line, surface wettability, active nucleation site density, receding and advancing contact angles, boiling heat transfer coefficient and critical heat flux. Both enhancement and deterioration effects on boiling heat transfer coefficient and critical heat flux have been discussed. Most of the existing experimental data confirms the enhancement of critical heat flux using alumina nanofluid, however there is no consistency about its boiling heat transfer coefficient. 相似文献
