In this study, kinematic and dynamic characteristics of a planar four-bar mechanism having joint clearance and link flexibility are investigated. Assuming that joint clearance as a virtual massless link, artificial clearances are developed at crank-coupler and coupler-follower joints. Contact model in joints with clearance is established using the nonlinear spring-damper model and the friction effect is considered using the Coulomb friction model. Then the simulation is implemented and the kinematic and dynamic characteristics of model mechanism are investigated. The computational methodology can predict the effects of clearance on planar mechanism having rigid and flexible links. The results are evaluated for the case of stationary phase, and naturally show that extreme values occur in output of the mechanism with clearances. Due primarily to the suspension effect of the flexible link, values of these peaks in the flexible mechanism decrease relative to that of the rigid mechanism. In addition, the flexibility has a significant effect on the vibration response of the mechanism with joint clearance. 相似文献

For over 50 years, the Upper Oligocene–Upper Miocene sedimentary sequence in Istanbul has been considered to be formed of two distinct sequences separated by an unconformity. However, recent field observations and an analysis of numerous borehole data indicate the Gürp?nar, Çukurçe?me and Güngören Formations are in fact a single sequence of alternating clay–sand/sandstone beds/lenses, here named the Avc?lar Formation. The Bak?rköy Formation, which is typically composed of carbonate rocks, conformably overlies the Avc?lar Formation. The paper provides the geotechnical parameters of the units within the Avc?lar Formation which it is hoped will facilitate selecting suitable geotechnical and engineering geological parameters to represent the deposits and minimize errors in the interpretation/evaluation of in-situ conditions. 相似文献

This study evaluates the effectiveness of Fenton's oxidation (FO) process and ozone (O3) oxidation compared with a coagulation-flocculation (CF) process to remove effluent toxicity as well as colour and COD from a textile industry wastewater. Daphnia magna was used to test acute toxicity in raw and pre-treated wastewater. The operational parameters for each process were determined on the basis of complete toxicity removal. The FO process removed COD at a higher rate (59%) than O3 (33%) while colour removal was similar (89% and 91%, respectively). The CF process removed both COD and colour at rates similar to the FO process. A colour range of 150-250 platin-cobalt (Pt-Co) unit was assessed for toxicity. 相似文献

Kinetics of para-nitrophenol and chemical oxygen demand removal from synthetic wastewater in an anaerobic migrating blanket reactor 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
A laboratory scale anaerobic migrating blanket reactor (AMBR) was operated at different HRTs (1-10.38 days) in order to determine the para-nitrophenol (p-NP) and COD removal kinetic constants. The reactor was fed with 40 mg L(-1)p-NP and 3000 mg L(-1) glucose-COD. Modified Stover-Kincannon and Grau second-order kinetic models were applied to the experimental data. The predicted p-NP and COD concentrations were calculated using the kinetic constants. It was found that these data were in better agreement with the observed ones in the modified Stover-Kincannon compared to Grau second-order model. The kinetic constants calculated according to Stover-Kincannon model are as follows: the saturation value constant (K(B)) and maximum utilization rate constants (R(max)) were found as 31.55 g CODL(-1)day(-1), 29.49 g CODL(-1)day(-1) for COD removal and 0.428 g p-NPL(-1)day(-1), 0.407 g p-NPL(-1)day(-1) for p-NP removal, respectively (R(2)=1). The values of (a) and (b) were found to be 0.096 day and 1.071 (dimensionless) with high correlation coefficients of R(2)=0.85 for COD removal. Kinetic constants for specific gas production rate were evaluated using modified Stover-Kincannon, Van der Meer and Heerrtjes and Chen and Hasminoto models. It was shown that Stover-Kincannon model is more appropriate for calculating the effluent COD, p-NP concentrations in AMBR compared to the other models. The maximum specific biogas production rate, G(max), and proportionality constant, G(B), were found to be 1666.7 mL L(-1) day(-1) and 2.83 (dimensionless), respectively in modified Stover-Kincannon gas model. The bacteria had low Haldane inhibition constants (K(ID)=14 and 23 mg L(-1)) for p-NP concentrations higher than 40 mg L(-1) while the half velocity constant (K(s)) increased from 10 to 60 and 118 mg L(-1) with increasing p-NP concentrations from 40 to 85 and 125 mg L(-1). 相似文献

Because of their size, service times, and drain on server resources, multimedia objects require specialized replication systems in order to meet demand and ensure content availability. We present a novel method for creating replication systems where the replicated objects' sizes and/or per-object service times are large. Such replication systems are well-suited to delivering multimedia objects on the Internet. Assuming that user request patterns to the system are known, we show how to create replication systems that distribute read load to servers in proportion to their contribution to system capacity and experimentally show the positive load distribution properties of such systems. However, when user request patterns differ from what the system was designed for, system performance will be affected. Therefore, we also report on results that reveal (i) how server loads are affected and (ii) the impact two system design parameters (indicators of a system's load distribution qualities) have on server load when request patterns differ from that for which a system was designed. 相似文献

In this study, polypropylene (PP) nonwoven fabric which can be used as topsheet layer of an absorbent hygienic product was modified by natural based antibacterial agents. Antibacterial herbal agents (cinnamaldehyde, geraniol, phenylethyl alcohol) were sprayed by ethanol or applied by means of polylactic acid (PLA) and polycyclohexene oxide (PCHO) based polymers prepared by three different chemical methods. Characterization of synthesized materials was conducted via thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), differential thermal analysis (DTA), and scanning electron microscopy–energy dispersive X–ray spectroscopy (SEM-EDX). Besides characterization, antibacterial and pH buffering performances of antibacterial polymers alone and on PP fabric were tested by antibacterial and pH tests. Effects of antibacterial treatments on air permeability and absorption period of nonwoven fabrics were also analyzed. According to the results, biopolymers changed the thermal stability of PP nonwoven fabric. Antibacterial performances can be ranked as cinnamaldehyde, geraniol, and phenylethyl alcohol from the best. Besides a slight decrease about liquid absorption performance, all of the treated topsheet fabrics are sufficient for an absorbent hygienic product. © 2019 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Appl. Polym. The traditional role of food packaging is continuing to evolve in response to changing market needs. Current drivers such as consumer's demand for safer, “healthier,” and higher‐quality foods, ideally with a long shelf‐life; the demand for convenient and transparent packaging, and the preference for more sustainable packaging materials, have led to the development of new packaging technologies, such as active packaging (AP). As defined in the European regulation (EC) No 450/2009, AP systems are designed to “deliberately incorporate components that would release or absorb substances into or from the packaged food or the environment surrounding the food.” Active packaging materials are thereby “intended to extend the shelf‐life or to maintain or improve the condition of packaged food.” Although extensive research on AP technologies is being undertaken, many of these technologies have not yet been implemented successfully in commercial food packaging systems. Broad communication of their benefits in food product applications will facilitate the successful development and market introduction. In this review, an overview of AP technologies, such as antimicrobial, antioxidant or carbon dioxide‐releasing systems, and systems absorbing oxygen, moisture or ethylene, is provided, and, in particular, scientific publications illustrating the benefits of such technologies for specific food products are reviewed. Furthermore, the challenges in applying such AP technologies to food systems and the anticipated direction of future developments are discussed. This review will provide food and packaging scientists with a thorough understanding of the benefits of AP technologies when applied to specific foods and hence can assist in accelerating commercial adoption. 相似文献

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the chemical exergy (ECH) of liquid products obtained from fast pyrolysis of biomass. I have calculated the chemical exergy values from a formula in literature and have developed a formula for estimating the chemical exergy of biomass from the higher heating value and their ultimate analysis values. The mean differences between these values range from –0.391% to 0.460%. The formula developed for estimating the chemical exergy of biomass from the higher heating value and their ultimate analyses had a correlation coefficient (R2 = 0.9999), and the prediction of this formula is good. The goal is to identify desirable attributes that may serve as the basis for decision-making for future biofuel options. Studies on the pyrolytic oils showed that the oils obtained from chestnut cupulae and maple fruit can be used as a renewable fuel and chemical feedstock. 相似文献
