With a growing emphasis on human identification, iris recognition has recently received increasing attention. Iris recognition includes eye imaging, iris segmentation, verification, and so on. In this letter, we propose a novel and efficient iris recognition method which employs a cumulative‐sum‐based grey change analysis. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method can be used for human identification in efficient manner.  相似文献

In this study, we have investigated sensitivities of the ion implanted silicon wafers processed by rapid thermal annealing (RTA), which can reveal the variation of sheet resistance as a function of annealing temperature as well as implantation parameters. All the wafers were sequentially implanted by the arsenic or phosphorous implantations at 40, 80, and 100 keV with the dose level of 1014 to 2 × 1016 ions/cm2. Rapid thermal annealing was carried out for 10 s by the infrared irradiation at a temperature between 850 and 1150°C in the nitrogen ambient. The activated wafer was characterized by the measurements of the sheet resistance and its uniformity mapping. The values of sensitivities are determined from the curve fitting of the experimental data to the fitting equation of correlation between the sheet resistance and process variables. From the sensitivity values and the deviation of sheet resistance, the optimum process conditions minimizing the effects of straggle in process parameters are obtained. As a result, a strong dependence of the sensitivity on the process variables, especially annealing temperatures and dose levels is also found. From the sensitivity analysis of the 10 s RTA process, the optimum values for the implant dose and annealing temperature are found to be in the range of 1016 ions/cm2 and 1050-1100°C, respectively. The sensitivity analysis of sheet resistance will provide valuable data for accurate activation process, offering a guideline for dose monitoring and calibration of ion implantation process.  相似文献

The asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) has been selected as the multiplexing and switching technique for use in the public broadband ISDN (B-ISDN). We propose a large-scale ATM switch architecture in which a banyan multipath self-routing network is combined advantageously with a shared buffer type switch element. The proposed banyan space-division concept yields a simple architecture having the potential to accommodate easily the growth of switch size. Since the interconnection network between switch modules or between switch elements has a twofold banyan architecture, expansion in crosspoints or interconnections with the increase of switch size can be lessened. The multipath self-routing concept makes the switch performance better and leads to an efficient realization of a switch element on a single chip as the fundamental building block of a large-size switch. We analyze the required capacity for queuing buffers in the switching network. The multipath approach inevitably creates information sequence disturbances. Therefore, we also analyze the out-of-sequence phenomenon of a banyan multipath switching system. To satisfy the sequence integrity requirement for ATM, a simple approach is proposed for the multipath switch by using a spacing controller. An efficient algorithm detecting the presence of a fetal QRS complex is presented. The proposed fetal QRS detection method computes the averaged magnitude of the difference between the fetal ECG signal and the reference signal to detect the fetal QRS event. The detected fetal QRS complexes are exponentially averaged to generate the template signal which can track the slowly varying shape of the fetal ECG signal. As an effort to obtain improved detection performances, two approaches of normalizing the fetal ECG signal and the template are considered.  相似文献

The current approaches in Object-Oriented Analysis have limitations on modeling complex real world systems because they require priori knowledge about objects and their interactions before applying them. This may be practical in small systems and systems with clear domain knowledge, but not in large real world systems with unclear domain knowledge. Our approach uses a stepwise refinement technique in a top-down manner to the Object-Oriented Analysis stage with the application of use cases. This approach is especially good for new areas where we do not know all the information in advance. We present the approach with an example of its application to the B-ISDN service modeling and distributed systems.  相似文献

As cloud computing models have evolved from clusters to large-scale data centers, reducing the energy consumption, which is a large part of the overall operating expense of data centers, has received much attention lately. From a cluster-level viewpoint, the most popular method for an energy efficient cloud is Dynamic Right Sizing (DRS), which turns off idle servers that do not have any virtual resources running. To maximize the energy efficiency with DRS, one of the primary adaptive resource management strategies is a Virtual Machine (VM) migration which consolidates VM instances into as few servers as possible. In this paper, we propose a Two Phase based Adaptive Resource Management (TP-ARM) scheme that migrates VM instances from under-utilized servers that are supposed to be turned off to sustainable ones based on their monitored resource utilizations in real time. In addition, we designed a Self-Adjusting Workload Prediction (SAWP) method to improve the forecasting accuracy of resource utilization even under irregular demand patterns. From the experimental results using real cloud servers, we show that our proposed schemes provide the superior performance of energy consumption, resource utilization and job completion time over existing resource allocation schemes.  相似文献

This paper proposes a new joint channel coding algorithm based on principal component analysis. A conventional joint channel coder using passive downmixing undergoes a reduction of both the primary‐to‐ambient energy ratio (PAR) of the downmix signal and the panning gain ratio of the primary source. The proposed system preserves the PAR of the downmix signal by using active downmixing which reflects spatial characteristic. The proposed system also improves the accuracy of the panning gain ratio estimation. Computer simulations and subjective listening tests verify the performance of the proposed system.  相似文献
