In this paper, adaptive set‐point regulation controllers for discrete‐time nonlinear systems are constructed. The system to be controlled is assumed to have a parametric uncertainty, and an excitation signal is used in order to obtain the parameter estimate. The proposed controller belongs to the category of indirect adaptive controllers, and its construction is based on the policy of calculating the control input rather than that of obtaining a control law. The proposed method solves the adaptive set‐point regulation problem under the assumption that the target state is reachable for each fixed parameter value. In this letter, an effective technique is proposed for improving the computational efficiency of the contraction‐type LP test algorithm, which is an algorithm for finding all solutions of piecewise‐linear resistive circuits. Using the proposed technique, all solutions of a large‐scale problem, where the number of variables is 100 and the number of linear regions is 10100, could be found in less than 10 min using a 360 MHz computer. In the field of surgery, achieving adhesion between a polymer implant and tissue poses a challenge considering that suturing is not appropriate for the stability of such implants. An ultrasonically activated scalpel that generates heat by mechanical vibration and promotes adhesion between a polymer implant and native tissue by pressing the two materials together has very good potential for application in the field. To determine the type of polymer that is suitable for the purpose, we investigated polyethylene (PE) and polystyrene (PS) films, the surfaces of which were activated by corona discharge. Graft polymerization was then performed on the corona‐treated surfaces to vary their properties. The corona‐treated PE and PS films grafted with poly(acrylic acid), poly(methacrylic acid), poly(vinyl benzylacrylic acid), and poly(hydroxylethyl acrylate), respectively, adhered to the tissue when the ultrasonically activated scalpel was applied. The heat generated by the mechanical vibration and the applied pressure enabled the carboxyl or hydroxyl groups to bond with the proteins in the extracellular matrix. We therefore concluded that it was possible to integrate this technique in the development of new types of polymer devices that could be stably implanted in a living body. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The solar cell structure of n-type poly-silicon/5-nm-diameter silicon nanocrystals embedded in an amorphous silicon oxycarbide matrix (30 layers)/p-type hydrogenated amorphous silicon/Al electrode was fabricated on a quartz substrate. An open-circuit voltage and a fill factor of 518 mV and 0.51 in the solar cell were obtained, respectively. The absorption edge of the solar cell was 1.49 eV, which corresponds to the optical bandgap of the silicon nanocrystal materials, suggesting that it is possible to fabricate the solar cells with silicon nanocrystal materials, whose bandgaps are wider than that of crystalline silicon.

We investigate the effects of hydrogen plasma treatment (HPT) on the properties of silicon quantum dot superlattice films. Hydrogen introduced in the films efficiently passivates silicon and carbon dangling bonds at a treatment temperature of approximately 400°C. The total dangling bond density decreases from 1.1 × 1019 cm-3 to 3.7 × 1017 cm-3, which is comparable to the defect density of typical hydrogenated amorphous silicon carbide films. A damaged layer is found to form on the surface by HPT; this layer can be easily removed by reactive ion etching. 相似文献

This paper describes the effects of electrode configuration and the loading amount of Ag catalyst on the decomposition of gas-phase benzene using plasma-driven catalyst (PDC) reactors. Modification of ground electrode brought out a great enhancement in the energy efficiency for benzene decomposition by reducing abnormal discharges outside the reactor tube. The data of carbon balance and the selectivity of CO2 indicated that the Ag catalyst played an important role in the decomposition of benzene, especially for the intermediates. The larger the Ag-loading amounts on the TiO2, the better the performance of benzene decomposition in terms of the carbon balance and the selectivity of CO2. Formation of NO2 and N2O indicated that the maximum specific input energy applicable to the PDC reactor should be determined not only by the decomposition efficiency but also by the formation of nitrogen oxides. 相似文献

There are two major protective methods against lightning outages on overhead distribution lines. One is by use of surge arresters and the other is by an overhead ground wire. Surge arresters have rather constant effect regardless of the type of lightning outage causes. On the other hand, the effect of an overhead ground wire is quite different against the two major causes: direct lightning hit and induced overvoltages. A high‐brightness electron source of ultrasmall emittance and high average current is one of the most important components for next‐generation light sources based on an energy‐recovery linac (ERL). Such a high‐brightness electron source can be realized by a DC photocathode gun driven by laser pulses tailored in the temporal and spatial dimensions. We propose a novel photocathode based on a quantum cascade laser (QCL). 三维人脸识别是模式识别和人工智能领域的研究热点。提出了一种利用人脸图像的二维灰度信息和三维深度信息进行人脸识别的算法。首先利用相关型图像传感器构成三维实时人脸成像系统,并将获得的三维人脸物理数据用复数形式表达。再将特征脸(Eigenface)方法和Fisherface方法拓展到复数域,提出了复数域特征脸方法和复数域Fisherface方法。改进的复数域人脸识别方法在三维实时成像系统的人脸数据库中进行的人脸识别实验表明,复数域的三维人脸识别方法明显优于传统的人脸识别方法。 相似文献
