We propose a novel axis-symmetric modified hybrid permanent magnet (PM)/electromagnet (EM) magnetomotive force actuator for a variable valve timing camless engine. The design provides a large magnetic force with low energy consump-tion, low coil inductance, PM demagnetization isolation, and improved transient response. Simulation and experimental results confirm forces of about 200 N (in the presence of coil current) at the equilibrium position and 500 N (in the absence of coil current) at the armature seat. We compared our proposed design with a double solenoid valve actuator (DSVA). The finite element method (FEM) designs of the DSVA and our proposed valve actuator were validated by experiments performed on manufactured prototypes.  相似文献

In this work, a facile one-step hydrothermal method was developed to fabricate three types different of nanomaterials: the two-dimension (2D) of MoS2 nanosheets; 3D spherical CuS nanoparticles; and 3D flower-like heterostructure of MoS2/CuS nanohybrid, respectively. The as-synthesized MoS2, CuS and MoS2/CuS were characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), field emission scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) etc. The morphology of the MoS2/CuS nanohybrid is different from the MoS2 nanosheets and CuS nanoparticles. The hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) activity of MoS2 nanosheets, CuS nanoparticles and MoS2/CuS nanohybrid, were investigated by the Linear Sweep Voltammetry (LSV) and Tafel slope. The HER activity of MoS2/CuS nanohybrid is better than those of MoS2 nanosheets and CuS nanoparticles, which can be attributed to the good electron-transport ability of CuS and the strong reduction ability of hydrogen ions by MoS2. Thus, MoS2/CuS nanohybrid exhibited excellent activity for HER with a small onset potential of 0.15 V, a low Tafel slope of 63 mV dec?1, and relatively good stability. However, the MoS2 nanosheets and CuS nanoparticles respectively shows a bigger onset potential of 0.25 V and 0.35 V, a higher Tafel slope of 165 and 185 mV dec?1. This 3D flower-like heterostructure of MoS2/CuS nanohybrid catalyst exhibits great potential for renewable energy applications.  相似文献

Abstract

Photorefractive BaTiO3 crystal illuminated at 442 nm gives a large initial scattering level, which leads to strong pump depletion into beam fanning. Studies on the time development of beam fanning show a temporal shift of the fanned beam maximum towards the c-axis direction. The effect on the signal beam amplification of the strong pump depletion into beam fanning has been investigated, revealing different temporal development of the amplified signal for various cross-angles. Our observations on beam fanning in the presence and in the absence of a signal reveal that there is appreciable coupling between the fanned beam and the signal.  相似文献

In this article, scattering from a perfectly electric conducting strip located in an infinitely extended topological insulator (IT) medium is investigated using the Kobayashi potential method. For solving mixed boundary value problem, KP method is a fast and semi-analytical technique. In this method, edge conditions and boundary conditions are incorporated simultaneously. The scattered field is calculated from the strip geometry embedded in IT medium. The far zone scattered field is investigated with respect to different parameters of the geometry, i.e. topological parameter of the IT medium, size of the strip etc. It has been observed that the scattered field can be enhanced by increasing topological parameter of the IT medium. On the other hand, size of strip, permittivity of IT medium may also be used to enhance the main lobe of the scattering width/scattered field.  相似文献

Epoxy/nanocrystalline diamond nanocomposites composites were prepared by dispersing ultrasonically, 0.4, 0.7, 1.0, and 4.0 wt% acid‐treated nanocrystalline diamond (NCD) powder in epoxy matrix. Fourier infrared spectroscopy was utilized to study the moieties attached to the nanodiamond particles. The trace elements present in NCD powder before and after acid treatment were analyzed by ion beam techniques. Thermomechanical properties of the nanocomposites showed that incorporation of low content (0.4 wt%) of nanodiamond powder into epoxy matrix enhanced the storage modulus, loss modulus, and hardness by ∼68, ∼55, and ∼86%, respectively, over neat epoxy. By increasing the concentration of modified NCD to 0.7 wt% resulted in lower values of hardness and thermomechanical properties but still remain higher than neat epoxy. An increasing trend in properties was again observed at 4 wt% concentration of modified nanofiller. The glass transition temperature was up shifted to ∼110°C over neat epoxy. Flutter shutter (coded exposure) cameras allow to extend indefinitely the exposure time for uniform motion blurs. Recently, Tendero et al. (SIAM J Imaging Sci 6(2):813–847, 2013) proved that for a fixed known velocity v the gain of a flutter shutter in terms of root means square error (RMSE) cannot exceeds a 1.1717 factor compared to an optimal snapshot. The aforementioned bound is optimal in the sense that this 1.1717 factor can be attained. However, this disheartening bound is in direct contradiction with the recent results by Cossairt et al. (IEEE Trans Image Process 22(2), 447–458, 2013). Our first goal in this paper is to resolve mathematically this discrepancy. An interesting question was raised by the authors of reference (IEEE Trans Image Process 22(2), 447–458, 2013). They state that the “gain for computational imaging is significant only when the average signal level J is considerably smaller than the read noise variance \(\sigma _r^2\)” (Cossairt et al., IEEE Trans Image Process 22(2), 447–458, 2013, p. 5). In other words, according to Cossairt et al. (IEEE Trans Image Process 22(2), 447–458, 2013) a flutter shutter would be more efficient when used in low light conditions e.g., indoor scenes or at night. Our second goal is to prove that this statement is based on an incomplete camera model and that a complete mathematical model disproves it. To do so we propose a general flutter shutter camera model that includes photonic, thermal (The amplifier noise may also be mentioned as another source of background noise, which can be included w.l.o.g. in the thermal noise) and additive [The additive (sensor readout) noise may contain other components such as reset noise and quantization noise. We include them w.l.o.g. in the readout.] (sensor readout, quantification) noises of finite variances. Our analysis provides exact formulae for the mean square error of the final deconvolved image. It also allows us to confirm that the gain in terms of RMSE of any flutter shutter camera is bounded from above by 1.1776 when compared to an optimal snapshot. The bound is uniform with respect to the observation conditions and applies for any fixed known velocity. Incidentally, the proposed formalism and its consequences also apply to e.g., the Levin et al. motion-invariant photography (ACM Trans Graphics (TOG), 27(3):71:1–71:9, 2008; Method and apparatus for motion invariant imag- ing, October 1 2009. US Patent 20,090,244,300, 2009) and variant (Cho et al. Motion blur removal with orthogonal parabolic exposures, 2010). In short, we bring mathematical proofs to the effect of contradicting the claims of Cossairt et al. (IEEE Trans Image Process 22(2), 447–458, 2013). Lastly, this paper permits to point out the kind of optimization needed if one wants to turn the flutter shutter into a useful imaging tool.  相似文献

In this investigation, diamond thin films with grain size ranging from 50 nm to 1 µm deposited using hot filament chemical vapor deposition (HFCVD) have been analyzed by elastic recoil detection analysis (ERDA) for determining hydrogen concentration. Hydrogen concentration in diamond thin films increases with decreasing grain size. Raman spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) results showed that part of this hydrogen is bonded to carbon forming C–H bonding. Raman spectra also indicated the increase of non diamond phase with the decrease in crystallite size. Incorporation of hydrogen in the samples and increase of hydrogen content in nanocrystalline sample are discussed. Large separation between filament and substrate used for the synthesis of nanocrystalline film helped to understand the large incorporation of hydrogen in nanocrystalline diamond films during growth. The study addresses the hydrogen trapping in different samples and higher hydrogen concentration in nanocrystallites by considering the synthesis conditions, growth mechanisms for different grain sized diamond films and from the quality of CVD diamond films.  相似文献
