This paper proposes a method and an information technology tool aiming to support the ergonomics layout design of individual workstations in a given space (building). The proposed method shares common ideas with previous generic methods for office layout. However, it goes a step forward and focuses on the cognitive tasks which have to be carried out by the designer or the design team trying to alleviate them. This is achieved in two ways: (i) by decomposing the layout design problem to six main stages, during which only a limited number of variables and requirements are considered and (ii) by converting the ergonomics requirements to functional design guidelines. The information technology tool (ErgoOffice 0.1) automates certain phases of the layout design process, and supports the design team either by its editing and graphical facilities or by providing adequate memory support. 相似文献

This two-part paper is concerned with the analysis and achievement of human-like behavior by robot arms (manipulators). The analysis involves three issues: (i) the resolution of the inverse kinematics problem of redundant robots, (ii) the separation of the end-effector's motion into two components, i.e. the smooth (low accelerated) component and the fast (accelerated) component, and (iii) the fatigue of the motors (actuators) of the robot joints. In the absence of the fatigue, the human-like performance is achieved by using the partitioning of the robot joints into “smooth” and “accelerated” ones (called distributed positioning—DP). The actuator fatigue is represented by the so-called “virtual fatigue” (VF) concept. When fatigue starts, the human-like performance is achieved by engaging more the joints (motors) that are less fatigued, as does the human arm. Part I of the paper provides the theoretical issues of the above approach, while Part II applies it to the handwriting task and provides extensive simulation results that support the theoretical expectations. 相似文献

Flexible electronics have seen extensive research over the past years due to their potential stretchability and adaptability to non-flat surfaces. They are key to realizing low-power sensors and circuits for wearable electronics and Internet of Things (IoT) applications. Semiconducting metal-oxides are a prime candidate for implementing flexible electronics as their conformal deposition methods lend themselves to the idiosyncrasies of non-rigid substrates. They are also a major component for the development of resistive memories (memristors) and as such their monolithic integration with thin film electronics has the potential to lead to novel all-metal-oxide devices combining memory and computing on a single node. This review focuses on exploring the recent advances across all these fronts starting from types of suitable substrates and their mechanical properties, different types of fabrication methods for thin film transistors and memristors applicable to flexible substrates (vacuum- or solution-based), applications and comparison with rigid substrates while additionally delving into matters associated with their monolithic integration. 相似文献

Advanced high‐strength steels, like dual phase and TRIP steels, have gained much interest for automotive application. The complex microstructures in dual phase steels, and even more critical, the metastable microstructure in TRIP steels, do not follow the well‐established traditional microstructure‐property relationships for deep drawing steels. The volume fraction of the different phases, the phase distribution, and the stability of metastable phases influence significantly the forming potential. This paper discusses the correlation between different microstructural features and the mechanical properties. The tensile test properties of dual phase steels are governed by the martensite volume fraction, the martensite hardness and to a much smaller extent the martensite island diameter. Both in dual phase and more pronounced in TRIP steels the retained austenite content plays a vital role in determining the formability. The stability of the retained austenite can be described by different methods, it needs to be adjusted according to the forming temperature and the type and amount of strain. In general, multiphase steels require a very strict microstructure control in order to develop predictable forming behaviour. 相似文献

Identifying clusters is an important aspect of analyzing large datasets. Clustering algorithms classically require access to the complete dataset. However, as huge amounts of data are increasingly originating from multiple, dispersed sources in distributed systems, alternative solutions are required. Furthermore, data and network dynamicity in a distributed setting demand adaptable clustering solutions that offer accurate clustering models at a reasonable pace. In this paper, we propose GoScan, a fully decentralized density-based clustering algorithm which is capable of clustering dynamic and distributed datasets without requiring central control or message flooding. We identify two major tasks: finding the core data points, and forming the actual clusters, which we execute in parallel employing gossip-based communication. This approach is very efficient, as it offers each peer enough authority to discover the clusters it is interested in. Our algorithm poses no extra burden of overlay formation in the network, while providing high levels of scalability. We also offer several optimizations to the basic clustering algorithm for improving communication overhead and processing costs. Coping with dynamic data is made possible by introducing an age factor, which gradually detects data-set changes and enables clustering updates. In our experimental evaluation, we will show that GoSCAN can discover the clusters efficiently with scalable transmission cost. 相似文献

The occurrence of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) was studied in river water, lake water, seawater and treated wastewater in Greece from October 1998 to September 1999. The determination of 41 VOCs was performed with a Purge and Trap-Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry method. Samples were collected seasonally from 10 rivers, seven lakes, three gulfs and four wastewater treatment plants. In surface water samples, 15 VOCs were detected. In wastewater samples, occurrence of 31 VOCs was observed. The results suggest that not only agricultural and industrial activity within the Greek territory, but also transboundary pollution deriving from neighbouring countries consist important sources of VOCs in surface waters of Greece. However, the measured concentrations did not in any case exceed the guideline values proposed by the EC. 相似文献

A stand-alone power system that consists of a photovoltaic array and wind generators for the exploitation of renewable energy sources (RES), and that is capable of storing excessive energy in the form of hydrogen via water electrolysis for subsequent use in a polymer electrolyte membrane (PEM) fuel cell is currently being installed at Neo Olvio of Xanthi in Greece. The performance of two power management strategies (PMSs) that utilize a hysteresis band in the operation of the integrated system over a typical 4-month period is assessed. The state-of-charge (SOC) level of the accumulator is the main parameter that governs the operation of the electrolyzer and the fuel cell. The introduction of a hysteresis band in the boundary limits of the SOC of the accumulator provides larger flexibility in the operation of the electrolyzer, the fuel cell, and the accumulator. In this way, the units can be protected from heavy and unnecessary utilization or irregular operation (reduction of frequent start-ups and shut-downs). The simulated results for the implemented PMSs revealed important information about the reliability of the load satisfaction, the total operation time that each subsystem undergoes, as well as about the hydrogen inventory in the integrated system. The study also identified the effect of variation of hysteresis band size on the system performance as an important feature for the development of an integrated control strategy. 相似文献

The development of an experimental tactile sensor system fitted on a robot work-table is analyzed in this paper. In the first stage of this research a 16 × 16 piezoresistive sensor was used, attached on the work-table of an ASEA IRB-2000 robot. The keypoint of the above design is that the sensor is not used just to obtain texture information, as it is happens when it is fitted on the gripper, but also to obtain tactile data from the object nonvisible base-surface and finally the object weight. The experimental system is designed so as to allow variation in the design parameters to determine the best set of parameter values for optimal performance of the sensor. Experiments carried out show the operability of the above system and, furthermore, the advantages using this sensor topology. 相似文献
