A great number of works focus their interest on the study of gold nanoparticle plasmonic properties. Among those, sharp nanostructures appear to exhibit the more interesting features for further developments. In this paper, a complete study on bipyramidal-like gold nanostructures is presented. The nano-objects are prepared in high yield using an original method. This chemical process enables a precise control of the shape and the size of the particles. The specific photophysical properties of gold bipyramids in suspension are ripened by recording the plasmonic response of single and isolated objects. Resulting extinction spectra are precisely correlated to their geometrical structure by mean of electron tomography at the single-particle level. The interplay between the geometrical structure and the optical properties of twisted gold bipyramids is further discussed on the basis of numerical calculations. The influence of several parameters is explored such as the structural aspect ratio or the tip truncation. In the case of an incident excitation polarized along the particle long axis, this study shows how the plasmon resonance position can be sensitive to these parameters and how it can then be efficiently tuned on a large wavelength range.  相似文献

In this paper we present new results on the performance of the Minimum Spanning Tree heuristic for the Minimum Energy Broadcast Routing (MEBR) problem. We first prove that, for any number of dimensions d≥2, the approximation ratio of the heuristic does not increase when the power attenuation coefficient α, that is the exponent to which the coverage distance must be raised to give the emission power, grows. Moreover, we show that, for any fixed instance, as a limit for α going to infinity, the ratio tends to the lower bound of Clementi et al. (Proceedings of the 18th annual symposium on theoretical aspects of computer science (STACS), pp. 121–131, 2001), Wan et al. (Wirel. Netw. 8(6):607–617, 2002) given by the d-dimensional kissing number, thus closing the existing gap between the upper and the lower bound. We then introduce a new analysis allowing to establish a 7.45-approximation ratio for the 2-dimensional case, thus significantly decreasing the previously known 12 upper bound (Wan et al. in Wirel. Netw. 8(6):607–617, 2002) (actually corrected to 12.15 in Klasing et al. (Proceedings of the 3rd IFIP-TC6 international networking conference, pp. 866–877, 2004)). Finally, we extend our analysis to any number of dimensions d≥2 and any αd, obtaining a general approximation ratio of 3 d −1, again independent of α. The improvements of the approximation ratios are specifically significant in comparison with the lower bounds given by the kissing numbers, as these grow at least exponentially with respect to d. In a DMF + NaOH medium, a polyamidoamine dendrimer having sixteen 1,8-naphthalimide fragments in its periphery, formed a complex only with Li+ ions, detected by a colour change from red to yellow and by a significant increase in fluorescence intensity. Min-max functions, F :R n R n , arise in modelling the dynamic behaviour of discrete event systems. They form a dense subset of those functions which are homogeneous, F i (x 1 + h, .. . , x n + h) = Fi(x 1 , . . . , x n ) + h, monotonic , x y F(x) F(y), and nonexpansive in the l infinity norm-so-called topical functions-which have appeared recently in the work of several authors. Our main result characterizes those min-max functions which have a (generalized) fixed point, where Fi(x) = x i + h for some h R. We deduce several earlier fixed point results. The proof is inspired by Howard's policy improvement scheme in optimal control and yields an algorithm for finding a fixed point, which appears efficient in an important special case. An extended introduction sets the context for this paper in recent work on the dynamics of topical functions.  相似文献

We have investigated the short-circuit current density of organic solar cells based on poly (3-hexylthiophene)(P3HT)/6,6-phenyl C61-butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM) blend. In order to model charge collection efficiencies with respect to short circuit density in such blends, a full optical modeling of the cell is performed. From the distribution of the electromagnetic field, we compute the rate of exciton generation. This exciton generation rate is used as input in the transport equations of holes and electrons. Charge densities at steady state are obtained as solutions are used for computing short-circuit current densities generated in the cell. The dependence of short-circuit current densities versus the thickness of the blend is analyzed and compared with our experimental data and with data extracted from the literature.  相似文献

During meiotic maturation of mammalian oocytes, two successive divisions occur without an intermediate phase of DNA replication, so that haploid gametes are produced. Moreover, these two divisions are asymmetric, to ensure that most of the maternal stores are retained within the oocyte. This leads to the formation of daughter cells with different sizes: the large oocyte and the small polar bodies. All these events are dependent upon the dynamic changes in the organization of the oocyte cytoskeleton (microtubules and microfilaments) and are highly regulated in time and space. We review here the current knowledge of the interplay between the cytoskeleton and the cell cycle machinery in mouse oocytes, with an emphasis on the two major activities that control meiotic maturation in vertebrates, MPF (Maturation promoting factor) and CSF (Cytostatic factor).  相似文献

Broccoli is an important source of many nutritional and bioactive compounds. However, its shelf-life is very short due to physicochemical losses and microbiological degradation. This study was undertaken to implement treatments that could improve the quality of ready-to-eat (RTE) broccoli during storage by evaluating the effect of pre-treatment with calcium chloride (CaCl2) and alginate coating on the physicochemical and microbial properties of RTE broccoli. Broccoli florets were pre-treated with three different concentrations of CaCl2 (1, 2.5, and 4 g L?1), then coated with an alginate formulation (13 g L?1) and stored at 4 °C for 24 days. Texture, color, weight loss, respiration rate, and total mesophilic flora (TMF) counts were evaluated at days 0, 3, 7, 14, and 24 of storage. The obtained results in this study showed that combining pre-treatment with calcium and alginate coating led to reducing the weight loss and respiration rate of broccoli, maintaining its color and texture as well as extending its shelf-life by 6 days. These results not only allowed reducing post-harvest losses resulting in the loss of the product but also have a major impact on the environment and resources involved in the production process.  相似文献
