We propose an efficient scheme for camera motion characterization in MPEG‐compressed video. The proposed scheme detects six types of basic camera motions through threshold‐based qualitative interpretation, in which fixed thresholds are applied to motion model parameters estimated from MPEG motion vectors (MVs). The efficiency and robustness of the scheme are validated by the experiment with real compressed video sequences.  相似文献

Spatial division multiplexing (SDM) techniques increase the total throughput by transmitting independent information streams through multiple transmit antennas whereas space time coding (STC) techniques utilize diversity gain. Hybrid space-time block code (STBC) schemes proposed combine the above two techniques to maximize the link performance. We propose a decision feedback detection method to improve the performance of the hybrid STBC scheme for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM). In this scheme, we take the error propagation effect into account to enhance the detection performance. Simulation results show that the proposed method outperforms the conventional hybrid STBC detection algorithm by more than 3dB at 1% frame error rate for frequency selective fading channels.  相似文献

An endocrine disruptor (ED) is a type of xenobiotic compound that can cause serious diseases related to the estrous cycle, as well as various types of cancer. At low ED concentrations, estrogen receptors may respond as they would under physiological conditions. In this work, aptamer‐functionalized multidimensional conducting‐polymer (3‐carboxylate polypyrrole) nanoparticles (A_M_CPPyNPs) are fabricated for use in an FET sensor to detect bisphenol A (BPA). The multidimensional system, M_CPPyNPs, is first produced by means of dual‐nozzle electrospray of pristine CPPyNPs and vapor deposition polymerization of additional conducting polymer. The M_CPPyNPs are then immobilized on an amine‐functionalized (–NH2) interdigitated‐array electrode substrate, through the formation of covalent bonds with amide groups (–CONH). The amine‐functionalized BPA‐binding aptamer is then introduced in the same way as that for M_CPPyNP immobilization. The resulting A_M_CPPyNP‐based FET sensors exhibit ultrasensitivity and selectivity towards BPA at unprecedentedly low concentrations (1 fm ) and among molecules with similar structures. Additionally, due to the covalent bonding involved in the immobilization processes, a longer lifetime is expected for the FET sensor.  相似文献

The original distributed-queueing request update multiple-access (DQRUMA)/multicode code-division multiple-access (MC-CDMA) protocol was developed as a channel access protocol for wireless packet CDMA networks. This protocol has recently attracted considerable attention. We modify the original protocol, which was designed for data traffic only, to additionally accommodate voice traffic and call it the A-Protocol. We propose a new packet CDMA protocol that enhances the A-Protocol by improving the utilization of receivers in a base station and call it the E-Protocol. In the E-Protocol, an access request is attempted with a randomly chosen code at a request minislot. We analytically evaluate the performance of both protocols and compare analytical results with computer simulation. Analytical results agree well with simulation results.  相似文献

The paper analyzes the error propagation phenomenon in the decision feedback equalizer (DFE) for the receivers of Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC) digital television (DTV) and presents the performance upper-limits of the DFE by comparing various error propagation cases and the no-error propagation case. As one approach to the performance limit, we consider a blind DFE, adopting a trellis decoder with a trace-back depth of 1 as a decision device. Through simulation, we show how much the DFE performance in ATSC DTV receivers is affected by error propagation. We found that while blind equalization is preferable to decision-directed (DD) equalization at signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) values less than 18 dB, DD equalization is superior to blind equalization at SNR values greater than 18 dB. In addition, symbol error rate curves quantitatively show that the performance difference in the DFE caused by error propagation becomes clearer at the trellis decoder following the DFE. The analysis results presented are very informative for developing equalization algorithms for ATSC DTV receivers.  相似文献

System-on-package (SOP) is a viable alternative to system-on-chip (SOC) for meeting the rigorous requirements of today's mixed-signal system integration. Thermal integrity is arguably the most crucial issue in three-dimensional (3-D) SOP due to the compact nature of the 3-D integration. In addition, the power supply noise issue becomes more serious as the supply voltage continues to decrease while the number of active devices consuming power increases. We propose a 3-D module and decap (decoupling capacitance) placement algorithm that evenly distributes the thermal profile and reduces the power supply noise. In addition, we allocate white spaces around the modules that require decaps to suppress the power supply noise while minimizing the area overhead. In our experimentation, we achieve improvements in both maximum temperature and decap amount with only small increase in area, wirelength, and runtime.  相似文献

Uniaxial-process-induced strained-Si: extending the CMOS roadmap   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
This paper reviews the history of strained-silicon and the adoption of uniaxial-process-induced strain in nearly all high-performance 90-, 65-, and 45-nm logic technologies to date. A more complete data set of n- and p-channel MOSFET piezoresistance and strain-altered gate tunneling is presented along with new insight into the physical mechanisms responsible for hole mobility enhancement. Strained-Si hole mobility data are analyzed using six band k/spl middot/p calculations for stresses of technological importance: uniaxial longitudinal compressive and biaxial stress on [001] and [110] wafers. The calculations and experimental data show that low in-plane and large out-of-plane conductivity effective masses and a high density of states in the top band are all important for large hole mobility enhancement. This work suggests longitudinal compressive stress on [001] or [110] wafers and <110> channel direction offers the most favorable band structure for holes. The maximum Si inversion-layer hole mobility enhancement is estimated to be /spl sim/ 4 times higher for uniaxial stress on (100) wafer and /spl sim/ 2 times higher for biaxial stress on (100) wafer and for uniaxial stress on a [110] wafer.  相似文献

The effects of the amount of RuO2 added in the Ta film on the electrical properties of a Ta-RuO2 diffusion barrier were investigated using n++-poly-Si substrate at a temperature range of 650–800°C. For the Ta layer prepared without RuO2 addition, Ta2O5 phase formed after annealing at 650°C by reaction between Ta and external oxygen, leading to a higher total resistance and a non-linear I-V curve. Meanwhile, in the case of the Ta film being deposited with RuO2 incorporation, not only a lower total resistance and ohmic characteristics exhibited, but also the bottom electrode structure was retained up to 800°C, attributing to the formation of a conductive RuO2 crystalline phase in the barrier film by reaction with the indiffused oxygen because of a Ta amorphous structure formed by chemially strong Ta-O or Ta-Ru-O bonds and a large amount of conductive RuO2 added. Since a kinetic barrier for nucleation in formation of the crystalline Ta2O5 phase from an amorphous Ta(O) phase is much higher than that of crystalline RuO2 phase from nanocrystalline RuOx phase, the formation of the RuO2 phase by reaction between the indiffused oxygen and the RuOx nanocrystallites is kinetically more favorable than that of Ta2O5 phase.  相似文献

3D printing of conductive elastomers is a promising route to personalized health monitoring applications due to its flexibility and biocompatibility. Here, a one-part, highly conductive, flexible, stretchable, 3D printable carbon nanotube (CNT)-silicone composite is developed and thoroughly characterized. The one-part nature of the inks: i) enables printing without prior mixing and cures under ambient conditions; ii) allows direct dispensing at ≈100 µm resolution printability on nonpolar and polar substrates; iii) forms both self-supporting and high-aspect-ratio structures, key aspects in additive biomanufacturing that eliminate the need for sacrificial layers; and iv) lends efficient, reproducible, and highly sensitive responses to various tensile and compressive stimuli. The high electrical and thermal conductivity of the CNT-silicone composite is further extended to facilitate use as a flexible and stretchable heating element, with applications in body temperature regulation, water distillation, and dual temperature sensing and Joule heating. Overall, the facile fabrication of this composite points to excellent synergy with direct ink writing and can be used to prepare patient-specific wearable electronics for motion detection and cardiac and respiratory monitoring devices and toward advanced personal health tracking and bionic skin applications.  相似文献
