We investigate the effects of hydrogen plasma treatment (HPT) on the properties of silicon quantum dot superlattice films. Hydrogen introduced in the films efficiently passivates silicon and carbon dangling bonds at a treatment temperature of approximately 400°C. The total dangling bond density decreases from 1.1 × 1019 cm-3 to 3.7 × 1017 cm-3, which is comparable to the defect density of typical hydrogenated amorphous silicon carbide films. A damaged layer is found to form on the surface by HPT; this layer can be easily removed by reactive ion etching.  相似文献

Carbon fibre/glassy carbon composites were prepared by aligning unidirectionally in furfuryl alcohol condensate the PAN-based carbon fibres treated at different temperatures and with different degrees of stretching. The graphitization of the composites was found to start at the boundary between the fibres and glassy carbon matrix, and to proceed into the matrix. This is considered to be due to the stress accumulation at the boundary caused by a large shrinkage of the matrix. The carbon fibres remain nongraphitized even after a heat-treatment at 2800°C. The composites heat-treated at high temperature (2800°C) are found to show a high overall degree of graphitization, unexpected on basis of the known graphitization behavior of carbon fibres and of glassy carbon, and a high degree of uniaxial preferred orientation of crystallites.  相似文献

To achieve a high-efficiency silicon nanowire (SiNW) solar cell, surface passivation technique is very important because a SiNW array has a large surface area. We successfully prepared by atomic layer deposition (ALD) high-quality aluminum oxide (Al2O3) film for passivation on the whole surface of the SiNW arrays. The minority carrier lifetime of the Al2O3-depositedSiNW arrays with bulk silicon substrate was improved to 27 μs at the optimum annealing condition. To remove the effect of bulk silicon, the effective diffusion length of minority carriers in the SiNW array was estimated by simple equations and a device simulator. As a result, it was revealed that the effective diffusion length in the SiNW arrays increased from 3.25 to 13.5 μm by depositing Al2O3 and post-annealing at 400°C. This improvement of the diffusion length is very important for application to solar cells, and Al2O3 deposited by ALD is a promising passivation material for a structure with high aspect ratio such as SiNW arrays.  相似文献

Silicon nanowire (SiNW) arrays were prepared on silicon substrates by metal-assisted chemical etching and peeled from the substrates, and their optical properties were measured. The absorption coefficient of the SiNW arrays was higher than that for the bulk silicon over the entire region. The absorption coefficient of a SiNW array composed of 10-μm-long nanowires was much higher than the theoretical absorptance of a 10-μm-thick flat Si wafer, suggesting that SiNW arrays exhibit strong optical confinement. To reveal the reason for this strong optical confinement demonstrated by SiNW arrays, angular distribution functions of their transmittance were experimentally determined. The results suggest that Mie-related scattering plays a significant role in the strong optical confinement of SiNW arrays.  相似文献

To classify fine powders with particles smaller than 1 μm in diameter, air classifier design must take three factors into consideration: dispersion of feed powders, air flow uniformity in the classification zone, and recovery of fine particles adhering to the coarse fraction. The effects on the classification performance of a centrifugal air classifier using a dispersion nozzle for particle dispersion and a circulation mechanism using channel air jets for the recovery of fine particles are discussed.

By using a dispersion nozzle, the classification sharpness index was improved below 0.8 (Dp/Dp50) and the fine fraction yield was improved by 64% without changing size distribution. The circulation mechanism using channel air improved classification performance by 58% of the classification sharpness index and 65% of the fine fraction yield, although the particle size distribution of the fine fraction became 0.1 μm coarser than that without channel air.  相似文献

The effect of magnetic field on OH radical distribution in a hydrogen-oxygen diffusion flame was experimentally and numerically investigated to explore the possibility of combustion control by magnetic force. In experiments, a coaxial type of burner was set between the magnet pieces. Two-dimensional (2D) cross-section distributions of OH* chemiluminescence intensity and OH fluorescence intensity were obtained with spectroscopic techniques using a CCD camera and a Planar Laser-Induced Fluorescence (PLIF) system, respectively. It was clearly seen that the high-density regions of OH* and OH radicals axisymmetrically migrated toward the central axis of the flame due to the influence of the magnetic field. In numerical simulations, such a phenomenon was qualitatively reproduced by solving the equations of reactive gas dynamics and magnetism. As a result, it was found that the magnetic force does not directly and selectively induce the diffusion velocity (the relative velocity) of OH itself. Alternatively, the magnetic force acting on O2, whose mass density and magnetic susceptibility are much larger than those of other chemical species, causes the change in the mean velocity (the mass-average velocity) of mixture gas to transport the OH radical distribution indirectly and passively.  相似文献

An organic–inorganic proton conductive composite material consisting of a biopolymer was prepared by mixing the pectin, tetraethyl titanate, and imidazole. Although the pectin material without the composite dissolved in water, the pectin–inorganic composite material did not show water solubility. In addition, in the composite material, the pectin and imidazole formed an acid–base structure by an electrostatic interaction, and as a result, these composite materials showed a thermal stability at intermediate temperatures (100–200°C). Furthermore, these composite materials indicated the proton conductivity of 5.6 × 10?4 S cm?1 at 180°C under anhydrous conditions. The activation energy of the proton conduction under anhydrous conditions was 0.32–0.22 eV and these values were one order of magnitude higher than that of the typical humidified perfluorinated membrane, such as Nafion®. The organic–inorganic composite material consisting of a biocomponent may have the potential to be utilized as a novel proton conductor under anhydrous conditions. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. EDTA saturated with Ca(2+), Fe(3+) or Cu(2+) can induce parthenogenetic activation of pig oocytes at the germinal vesicle stage, whereas EDTA saturated with Zn(2+), which is unable to chelate Zn(2+), does not, indicating that chelation of Zn(2+) with EDTA saturated with Ca(2+) (Ca-EDTA) in maturing pig oocytes plays a pivotal role in the induction of parthenogenetic activation of oocytes. In the present study, the involvement of Zn(2+) chelation in the induction of parthenogenetic activation of pig oocytes at the germinal vesicle stage was confirmed first by examining the effects of concomitant addition of Zn(2+), Cu(2+) or Ni(2+) at various concentrations together with 1 mmol Ca-EDTA l(-1) to the maturation medium. The titration experiments revealed that the pronuclear formation induced by 1 mmol Ca-EDTA l(-1) was completely inhibited by the addition of > 30 micromol Zn(2+) l(-1) to the medium, but not by the addition of Cu(2+) and Ni(2+) at any concentration examined. Second, bovine and mouse oocytes at the germinal vesicle stage were cultured in medium with or without 1 mmol Ca-EDTA l(-1) for 48 h to examine the effects of Ca-EDTA treatment on these oocytes during maturation culture. Most (70-86%) of the bovine oocytes that underwent germinal vesicle breakdown matured to the MII stage via the MI phase, regardless of whether Ca-EDTA was present for the first 24 h of culture. However, 61% of oocytes that had been cultured with Ca-EDTA for 48 h formed a pronucleus without a second polar body, whereas oocytes cultured in the absence of Ca-EDTA were not observed to form a pronucleus at any time during culture. However, even when mouse oocytes at the germinal vesicle stage were cultured for up to 48 h in maturation medium containing Ca-EDTA, pronuclear formation was not observed. Finally, when bovine oocytes that had been cultured with 1 mmol Ca-EDTA l(-1) for 48 h from the germinal vesicle stage were cultured further in medium without Ca-EDTA that was supplemented with 5% fetal calf serum, only 26% of the oocytes developed to the cleaved stage, and none could develop further.  相似文献

The extraction equilibria of Am(III) and Eu(III) by using a tripodal ligand, tris(2‐pyridylmethyl)amine (tpa), with various lipophilic anions have been investigated. The extractability of both Am(III) and Eu(III) was increased by the combination of tpa and counteranions due to a synergistic effect. The separation factors between Am(III) and Eu(III) were also increased from 7.6 to 49 by the combination of counteranions and organic solvents. The extraction equilibria of Am(III) and Eu(III) with tpa in 1,2‐dichloroethane were determined by slope analysis. It was found that three anions and one molecule of the ligand coordinated to Am(III) and Eu(III) was extracted regardless of the anions.  相似文献
