Performance of Indoor Infrared Wireless CDMA Systems with Angle Diversity

Indoor infrared communication systems is one of the possible ways of offering data rates in excess of 100 Mbit/s without the need for wiring. Multiple users can share an infrared channel by code division-multiple access (CDMA) techniques. However, the CDMA system performance is limited by both background noise and co-channel interference. In this paper we study the use of angle diversity for mitigating the effects of the noise and interference. The system considered uses on-off shift keying modulation with multibeam transmitters and imaging receivers. The overall system performance for different diversity combining techniques is evaluated and compared to a system without diversity. Numerical results for a 2-user CDMA system indicate that signal to noise and interference ratio (SNIR) improvement (over systems with no diversity) of 5 dB is obtained for at least 50% of an ensemble of 10000 sample evaluations. The generalized selection combining (GSC)--a new diversity technique yet to be implemented for infrared systems--offers the best performance even with its reduced complexity.

Solid phase crystallization of amorphous silicon on glass by thin film heater for thin film transistor (TFT) application

A new process for solid phase crystallization (SPC) of amorphous silicon (a-Si) using thin film heater is reported. With this localized Ti silicide thin film heater, we successfully crystallized 500 Å-thick a-Si in a few minutes without any thermal deformation of glass substrate. The size of crystallized silicon grain was abnormally big (30-40 μm). Polycrystalline thin film transistors (TFT) fabricated using this unique thin film heater showed better mobility than those of conventional ones by furnace annealing.     

Development of geometrically exact new shell elements based on general curvilinear co‐ordinates

In the present study first‐order shear deformable shell finite elements based on general curvilinear co‐ordinates are proposed. For the development of the present shell elements, a partial mixed variational functional with independently assumed strains is provided in order to avoid the severe locking troubles known as transverse shear and membrane lockings. Bubble functions are included in the shape function of displacement to improve the performance of the developed element. The proposed assumed strain four‐ and nine‐node elements based on the general tensor shell theory provide an efficient linkage framework for shell surface modelling and finite element analysis. In the several benchmark problems, the present shell elements with exact geometric representations demonstrate their performance compared to previously reported results. 介绍一个高清晰度电视机顶盒方案中软件系统的系统结构，阐述了机顶盒软件中使用的嵌入式操作系统STLite/OS20的原理及其特点，并举例说明了这个嵌入式操作系统在机顶盒系统中的使用。     

经济实用的DSP电源解决方案

笔者介绍了两种低纹波的DSP电源解决方案:一为采用MAX1793和大电流EMI静噪滤波器NFM41P;二为改进的去耦p型滤波电路和大电流EMI静噪滤波器NFM41P。并对方案的特点及其实现进行了详细的解析。试验结果表明:所述方案的纹波小,仅100 mV左右;成本低,仅几十元;适用范围广,通过改变MAX1793芯片的输出电压,可将本方案移植到TI的C5000,C6000系列,且还可用于其他的脱机工作系统。     

煤矿生产、安全调度LED电子大屏幕显示系统的设计

通过比较煤矿生产、安全调度显示方式的优缺点，提出和分析了适合于煤矿生产安全调度的ＬＥＤ电子大屏幕显示系统配置、功能及特点。     

声光效应拉曼-内斯方程矩阵级数解法及声光调制器优化设计

提出一种求解正常声光相互作用拉曼 内斯 (Raman Nath)方程的矩阵级数解法 ,该解法直观方便且具有普遍性。计算结果表明 ,对Q =4 1π ,Bragg衍射的效率只有 97 5 % ;对非对称入射 ,以往的Raman Nath近似解误差较大 ;指出提高Bragg衍射效率的有效途径在于提高声光频率比并给出计算声光器件最优长度的计算公式。
