Photolysis studies of technical decabromodiphenyl ether (DecaBDE) and ethane (DeBDethane) in plastics under natural sunlight 总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4
Photodebromination of technical decabromodiphenyl ether (DecaBDE) incorporated into high-impact polystyrene (HIPS) and TV casings was compared under natural sunlight conditions with that of technical decabromodiphenyl ethane (DeBDethane). BDE 209 in pulverized HIPS+DecaBDE samples degraded with a half-life of 51 days. In contrast, no marked loss of DeBDethane occurred throughout the experimental period of 224 days. During BDE 209 photolysis in HIPS+DecaBDE samples, partly debromination to nona- and octa-BDE was observed, however, environmentally relevant polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) congeners such as BDE 47, 99, and 100 were not formed. Formation of polybrominated dibenzofurans (PBDFs) was clearly apparent in the flame-retarded plastics that we investigated. In the HIPS+DecaBDE samples, the PBDF concentration increased by about 40 times after 1 week of exposure, with a concomitant decrease in BDE 209. In the TV casing, tetra- to octa-BDF congener concentrations increased continuously during the experiment Although the concentrations of PBDFs found in the plastic matrices tested were 1 to 4 orders of magnitude lower than those of PBDEs, more attention should be paid to the fact that PBDFs are formed by sunlight exposure during normal use as well as disposal/recycling processes of flame-retarded consumer products. 相似文献

The aromatic ring substitution reaction of 3-methyl phenol with tung oil under acidic conditions was carried out. The product was analyzed to find out if 3-methyl phenol was subjected to the ring substitution reaction with tung oil at its conjugated double bonds. Up to two molecules of 3-methyl phenol were addition-reacted with the conjugated triene of one eleostearyl group of triglyceride of α-eleostearic acid which is the major component of tung oil. The 4-position of 3-methyl phenol was preferentially subjected to the cresol's ring substitution. Therefore, up to 6 mol of 3-methyl phenol was added to 1 mol of tung oil, most of which was bonded to 3-methyl phenol at its 4-position. When 3-methyl phenol was reacted with a relatively large amount of tung oil, the substitution reaction occurred at the 6-as well as 4-position of 3-methyl phenol to yield a tung oil dimer having 3-methyl phenol units in its molecule. ABSTRACT: Eriocitrin (eriodictyol 7- O -β-rutinoside) is the main flavonoid in lemon fruit. In this study, eriocitrin was investigated for its lowering effect on serum and hepatic lipids in high-fat and high-cholesterol fed rats. Rats in the control group ( N = 6) were fed a 20% lard and 1% cholesterol diet for 21 d, and rats in the 0.35% eriocitrin group ( N = 6) and 0.70% eriocitrin group ( N = 6) were fed a diet supplemented with eriocitrin 0.35% and 0.70%, respectively. The content of hepatic total cholesterol and triglyceride in the eriocitrin group was no different from that of the control group. The total cholesterol, VLDL+LDL, triglyceride, and phospholipid in the serum of the 0.35% eriocitrin group showed significantly lower concentrations than the control group ( P < 0.05), although there was no difference in the HDL concentrations among the groups. The lowering effect of eriocitrin for serum total cholesterol was thought to be caused by a decrease in VLDL+LDL. The 0.35% eriocitrin group was shown to have a significant increase in excretion of fecal bile acid ( P < 0.05) and a tendency for enhanced hepatic m-RNA levels of LDL receptor in comparison with the control group. 相似文献

Peach kernel oil was extracted using Soxhlet extraction with different solvents (petroleum ether, ethyl ether, chloroform and hexane). The physicochemical properties (acid value, iodine value, peroxide value and saponification value), the fatty acid composition, phenolic constituents and contents, and antioxidant activities of peach kernel oil were examined. As per our results, oil extracted with hexane has better overall quality. Its acid, peroxide, iodine and saponification values were 0.895 mg KOH/g oil, 0.916 mg/g oil, 36.328 mg/100 g oil and 101.836 mg KOH/g oil, respectively. Large proportions of unsaturated fatty acid (91.27%) and high content of phenolic compounds (4.1593 mg GAE/g), which contribute to considerably strong antioxidant activity, were found in oil. The main fatty acids found in the peach kernel oil were oleic acid (61.87 g/100 g oil) and linoleic acid (29.07 g/100 g oil). The HPLC analysis of phenolic compounds showed that rutin, (-)-epicatechin gallate, hydrocinnamic acid, sinopinic acid, dithiothreitol and caffeic acid were major constituents. The results suggested that peach kernel oil is a good source of the unsaturated fatty acid, phenolic compounds with strong antioxidant activity, and has the potential to be used as nutrient rich food oil. The results also verified that peach kernel meals contained higher amounts of total phenolic and stronger antioxidant activities than oils, enabling their application as ingredients for functional or enriched foods. 相似文献

Inter-laboratory validation studies were conducted in 6 laboratories to validate the biological method for determination of streptomycin in royal jelly. Streptomycin spiked at the level of 0.2 and 1.0 ppm was analyzed. Mean recoveries were 89 and 96%, reproducibility relative standard deviations (RSD(R)) were 15.0 and 14.0%, HORRAT(R) values were 0.7 and 0.9. Samples containing residues at the levels of 0.25 and 0.80 ppm were analyzed. Mean recoveries were 113 and 99%, RSD(R) were 15.0 and 10.4%, and HORRAT(R) values were 0.8 and 0.6. The determination limit was 0.1 ppm. These results show that this method has good performance. 相似文献

Microporous polypropylene fibers were prepared by stretching polypropylene fibers containing poly(methylsilsesquioxane) filler. The properties of the resultant fibers are controllable by adjusting the filler content and stretching degree. The resultant fibers have a fine texture of polypropylene fibrils, in which the filler particles are dispersed.
