Analysis of neutron flux noise due to coolant parameter fluctuations in a VVÉR core

The results of investigations of noise appearing in the signals from direct-charge sensors of the in-reactor monitoring system of VVéR reactors as a result of coolant parameter fluctuations are presented. The calculations and experimental data are used to analyze the dependence of the amplitude of the neutron flux oscillations (local intensity) at the locations of sensors as a function of the magnitude and frequency of the fluctuations of a specific coolant parameter. The NOSTRA program was used to perform the calculations. The results of the analysis were used in the in-reactor noise diagnostics system in the No. 3 unit of the Kalinin and the No. 1 unit of the Tianwan (China) nuclear power plants. __________ Translated from Atomnaya énergiya, Vol. 103, No. 5, pp. 283–286, November, 2007.     

Scientific publishing in Benin as seen from Scopus

2,215 publications covering the period going from 1959 to 2011, with at least one author affiliated to Benin, were searched from Scopus and analyzed. These publications were co-authored by 10,225 scientists that correspond to 5,122 single authors in several disciplines of which the most prolific are Agricultural and biological science, and Medicine. None of the Benin-based journals were indexed in Scopus; approximately 5 % of the publications appeared in African reviews covered by Scopus. Researchers’ home institutions are mainly the University of Abomey-Calavi, its laboratories and some international organizations or cooperation agencies. The private universities were not mentioned in the affiliations list. The yearly percentage of international collaboration is over 80 %; France, the former colonial power is the main research partner whereas the West African region is the main partner at the African continent level; others partners are from Europe and America continents. This study suggests the setting up of a national database to index the domestic scientific literature; it should contribute to the improvement of the national research output.     

《火电厂大气污染物排放标准》与火电厂大气污染控制

本文回顾了我国火电厂大气污染物排放标准不断完善的历程,论述了火电厂排放标准在大气污染控制中所起的重要作用,并就新修订的《火电厂大气污染物排放标准(GB13223-2003)》对控制排放总量和改善环境质量的效果进行了研究分析。     

Crystallization kinetics of amorphous Cr2AlC thin films

Amorphous Cr₂AlC thin films were produced by room temperature magnetron sputtering on NaCl substrates with subsequent dissolution of the NaCl. The crystallization kinetics of Cr₂AlC was investigated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). Two exothermal reactions are observed during DSC up to 1200 °C. Comparing lattice parameters obtained from XRD and ab initio calculations it is suggested that the first reaction is associated with the formation of hexagonal (Cr_,Al)₂C_x, while after the second reaction Cr₂AlC is formed. The activation energy for the phase transformations are 426 and 762 kJ/mol, respectively.     

欧洲可持续能源政策及对我国的启示

欧洲能源政策的目标是力求在不增加能源供应总量的前提下保持经济持续发展,保障能源供应安全、加强环境保护和提高经济竞争力。在管理体制上建立了负责能源政策研究、制订、实施和监督的专门机构。最重要的措施是节能和发展可再生能源,重点领域包括建筑节能、企业节能、热电联产和可再生能源。欧洲可持续能源政策对我国的能源发展有一定借鉴意义,我们的能源政策应在保障满足经济和社会发展需要的同时,提高能源效率,发展清洁能源,加强能源与环境的协调,并在体制上为可持续能源战略的实施消除障碍。另外,还应考虑建立清洁能源基金等措施为可持续能源政策的实施提供资金保障。     

结直肠癌E-Cadherin的异常表达及其临床意义

目的探讨结直肠癌组织中E-Cadherin的表达及其临床意义。方法采用免疫组织化学S-P法检测60例结直肠癌及癌旁正常组织E-Cadherin的表达,并分析其与结直肠癌临床病理特征的关系。结果结直肠癌组织中E-Cadherin阳性表达率为71.67%。E-Cadherin的表达与结直肠癌Dukes分期、浆膜浸润、淋巴结转移、肝转移均呈正相关(P<0.05)。结论E-Cadherin表达与结直肠癌浸润转移密切相关。检测E-Cadherin表达可作为判断结直肠癌预后的客观指标。     

The opportunities of networks of research-practice partnerships and why CSCL should not give up on large-scale educational change

This squib continues the ongoing conversation put forward by Wise and Schwarz around the direction and future of CSCL. We focus here on the question of whether or not CSCL should seek to make educational change. Here, we take the affirmative position by conceptualizing the network of design-centric research practice partnerships. We illustrate how this could work through an ongoing instantiation called Taking Citizen Science to School, a multi-year research center with joint funding from research and practice-based governmental institutions.

近年来血管内超声成像技术发展极为迅速,为了更大限度地 挖掘血管内超声图象的有用信息,本文应用计算机图形学和图象处理技术对腔内超声图象做了进一步处理。这里,首先讨论血管壁边缘检测方法,在此基础上测量血管内径,壁厚,血管横截面积及周长,探讨了动脉压力与这些参数的关系,最后实现了血管图象三维重建,给出了血管的三维立体视图,为了便于全面地观察血管,设置了旋转、扩放、伸缩等功能。
