The design, fabrication, and evaluation of a fully integrated W -band monolithic downconverter based on InGaAs pseudomorphic HEMT technology are presented. The monolithic downconverter consists of a two-stage low-noise amplifier and a single-balanced mixer. The single-balanced mixer has been designed using the HEMT gate Schottky diodes inherent to the process. Measured results of the complete downconverter show conversion gain of 5.5 dB and a double-sideband noise figure of 6.7 dB at 94 GHz. Also presented is the downconverter performance characterized over the -35°C to +65°C temperature range. The downconverter design was a first pass success and has a high circuit yield 相似文献

In this work, the analog VLSI implementation of artificial neural networks by using only transconductors is presented. The signal flow graph approach is used in synthesis. The neural flow graph is defined. Synthesis of various neural network configurations by means of neural flow graph is described. The approach presented in this work is technology independent. InAs/GaAs quantum dot lasers incorporating passive waveguide created by post-growth intermixing processing have been studied. Emission wavelength of the passive section shows relative blueshift as high as 135 nm with respect to the emission wavelength of the active section. In order to achieve copper wafer bonding with good quality, surface conditions of copper films are important factors. In this
work, the effects of surface conditions, such as surface roughness and oxide formation on the bond strength, were investigated
under different bonding conditions. Prior to bonding, copper film surfaces were kept in the atmosphere for less than 1 min,
3 days, and 7 days, respectively, to form different thicknesses of oxide on the surface. Some copper wafers were cleaned using
HCl before bonding in order to remove the surface oxide. Surface roughness of copper films with and without HCl cleaning was
examined. Since surface cleaning before bonding removes oxides but creates surface roughness, it is important to study the
corresponding bond strength under different bonding conditions. These results offer the required information for the process

In this paper, a parallel adaptive neural network control system applicable to nonlinear dynamical systems of the type commonly encountered in many practical position control servomechanisms is developed. The controller is based on the use of direct adaptive techniques and an approach of using an additional parallel neural network to provide adaptive enhancements to a basic fixed neural network-based nonlinear controller. Properties of the proposed new controller are discussed in the paper and it is shown that if Gaussian radial basis function networks are used for the additional parallel neural network, uniformly stable adaptation is assured and asymptotic tracking of the position reference signal is achieved. The effectiveness of the proposed adaptive neural network control system is demonstrated in real-time implementation experiments for position control in a servomechanism with asymmetrical loading and changes in the load. 相似文献
