A business process is a set of activities performed in a coordinated manner within an organizational and technical environment that is aimed toward a business goal. The flexibility of a process is related to an understanding of the unexpected events that occur when people, systems and resources interact and require adjustments. Thus, business processes must be designed to respond to information about different events and their specificity. This information defines what the literature calls “context”. To broaden the perception of context in the case of a business process, this work proposes an approach to characterize the context of a business process activity in a given domain through conceptual models structured in layers. A case study was conducted to evaluate the proposal, which provided evidence of the applicability of the model.  相似文献

The polymerization of α-methylstyrene (αMeSty) initiated by HI/I2 or HI in the presence of liquid sulfur dioxide has been investigated. The number-average molecular weight increased with the monomer concentration for reactions initiated by the HI/I2 system. I2 also participates in the initiation process, increasing the number-average polymer chain at higher monomer concentration. HI alone is also able to initiate the polymerization of αMeSty in the presence of SO2. With this initiator, transfer reaction can be minimized in systems containing low amount of SO2. In this work, the effect of the introduction of modified solid surfaces into polymer blends on the phase‐separation process was investigated. Glass fibers with surfaces having different chemistries were introduced into polystyrene–poly(methyl methacrylate) blends. The glass fibers used either had fully hydrated surfaces or had surfaces covered with a random copolymer, poly(styrene‐co‐methyl methacrylate). The copolymer was synthesized by free‐radical polymerization of styrene and methyl methacrylate in the presence of previously vinyl silane‐treated glass fibers. The copolymerization and grafting procedures were investigated by FTIR and thermal analysis. Blends containing the fibers were studied using FTIR microscopy and optical microscopy. FTIR microscopy results showed that the composition of the phases in the blends was shifted by using fibers with different surface chemistries. Fibers with grafted copolymers were capable of narrowing the immiscibility region in the phase diagram, while fully hydrated fibers were able to expand the gap. It was proposed that interfacial interactions regulated by a hydrophilic–hydrophobic type of forces were responsible for guiding the described phase‐separation process. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. This review deals with the important industrial reaction of formaldehyde manufacture by methanol oxidation over iron molybdate catalysts. Detailed reference is made to the used catalyst, preparation techniques (coprecipitation, sol-gel like, mechanical mixing, etc.) including unsupported and supported catalysts, promoters and characterization methods. The controversial active phase assignment (stoichiometric versus Mo rich iron molybdate) is discussed. The proposed reaction mechanisms and kinetic laws for the main and side reactions are examined. The catalyst deactivation processes are reviewed and the role of Mo excess on these processes is underlined. Finally conclusions and perspectives are presented.  相似文献

With the advent of wearable sensing and mobile technologies, biosignals have seen an increasingly growing number of application areas, leading to the collection of large volumes of data. One of the difficulties in dealing with these data sets, and in the development of automated machine learning systems which use them as input, is the lack of reliable ground truth information. In this paper we present a new web-based platform for visualization, retrieval and annotation of biosignals by non-technical users, aimed at improving the process of ground truth collection for biomedical applications. Moreover, a novel extendable and scalable data representation model and persistency framework is presented. The results of the experimental evaluation with possible users has further confirmed the potential of the presented framework.  相似文献

The effect of Pd-loading on Pd-NaZSM-5 and Pd-NaMordenite catalysts prepared by ion exchange was studied for methane combustion with excess oxygen (1% CH4, 18% O2, balance N2) in the temperature range 40–500°C. Fresh and calcined samples (3 h, 450°C) showed methane conversions proportional to Pd-loading on Pd-NaZSM-5 catalysts, while conversions decreased with Pd-loading on calcined Pd-NaMordenite catalysts. TOF (number of methane molecules converted per second per Pd2+ ion) for over exchanged Pd-NaZSM5-116 was low as compared to under exchanged Pd-NaZSM5-80 and Pd-NaZSM5-58 samples. Close TOF's were found for the last two samples at 330°C. TOF differences in Pd-NaMordenite catalysts demonstrate the heterogeneity of Pd+2 sites due to structurally nonidentical locations of cations. TOF's appear to be related to Na/Pd ratios in both catalyst types. Apparent activation energies for Pd-NaZSM-5 materials are higher than those for Pd-NaMordenite catalysts.  相似文献

Recycled PET/organoclay nanocomposites were prepared by melt intercalation process with several amounts (1, 3, and 5 wt %) of clay modified with quaternary ammonium salt (DELLITE 67G) dispersed in a recycled poly(ethylene terephthalate) (rPET) matrix. The resultant mechanical properties (modulus and yield strength) of the nanocomposites were found to be different from those of rPET. Wide angle X‐ray scattering (WAXS) and Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) measurements have shown that although complete exfoliation was not achieved, delaminated clay platelets could be observed. Thermal analysis did not show significant changes in the thermal properties from those of recycled PET. Mechanical testing showed that nanocomposite properties were superior to the recycled PET in terms of strength and elasticity modulus. This improvement was attributed to nanoscale effects and strong interaction between the rPET matrix and the clay interface, as revealed by WAXS and TEM. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The influence of the olive paste malaxation time on the composition and the industrial output of oil was investigated. To this purpose, three Italian olive varieties (Leccino, Dritta, Caroleo) were processed with a centrifugal system for six malaxation periods (0, 15, 30, 45, 60 and 75 min). The concentrations of the majority of the oil constituents changed during the malaxation. However, these changes were not significant for all of them: the contents of β‐carotene, the major xanthophylls, chlorophylls a and b, pheophytins a and b in the oils increased progressively with increasing malaxing times, whereas the contents of simple and hydrolysable phenols (secoiridoid derivatives), o‐diphenols and total phenols decreased. A significant increase in total volatiles and green volatiles of the lipoxygenase cascade (C6 aldehydes, C6 alcohols, C5 alcohols and C5 carbonyls) was detected. An opposite trend was observed for the green C6 esters. As a result, the global analytical quality, flavour, aroma and shelf‐life of the oils were negatively affected. The oil yield increased substantially up to 45 min of paste malaxation times. Beyond 60 min, the yields tended to decrease.  相似文献

Variability for oil and fatty acid composition in castorbean varieties   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Thirty-six castorbean varieties were surveyed for oil and fatty acid composition, in order to determine variability of these seed compounds. A large variability of seed oil percentage was observed, ranging from 39.6 to 59.5%. Concerning the fatty acids, little variability was observed for ricinoleic acid, which was the most abundant in the oil, ranging from 83.65 to 90.00%. The other fatty acids appeared in small concentrations and showed a small range: 0.87 to 2.35, 0.68 to 1.84, 2.96 to 5.64, 3.19 to 5.98, and 0.34 to 0.91%, for palmitic, stearic, oleic, linoleic, and linolenic acid, respectively. Non-significant correlations were observed between fatty acids and seed oil percentage. However, significant correlations were observed among fatty acid concentrations: positive and negative ones. These significant correlations could be associated with the biosynthetic pathways of the fatty acids, which are not fully elucidated. They suggest, however, that selection for a particular fatty acid will tend to increase those positively correlated, and decrease those negative ones. Selection and plant breeding techniques could then be applied to modify the oil content of the castorbean seeds, considering the variability observed. For the fatty acid composition, however, the variability was not large enough to make substantial changes in their concentrations by selection procedures. More varieties should be surveyed to find out if such variability is available.  相似文献

Similarity search in high-dimensional spaces is a pivotal operation for several database applications, including online content-based multimedia services. With the increasing popularity of multimedia applications, these services are facing new challenges regarding (1) the very large and growing volumes of data to be indexed/searched and (2) the necessity of reducing the response times as observed by end-users. In addition, the nature of the interactions between users and online services creates fluctuating query request rates throughout execution, which requires a similarity search engine to adapt to better use the computation platform and minimize response times. In this work, we address these challenges with Hypercurves, a flexible framework for answering approximate k-nearest neighbor (kNN) queries for very large multimedia databases. Hypercurves executes in hybrid CPU–GPU environments and is able to attain massive query-processing rates through the cooperative use of these devices. Hypercurves also changes its CPU–GPU task partitioning dynamically according to the observed load, aiming for optimal response times. In our empirical evaluation, dynamic task partitioning reduced query response times by approximately 50 % compared to the best static task partition. Due to a probabilistic proof of equivalence to the sequential kNN algorithm, the CPU–GPU execution of Hypercurves in distributed (multi-node) environments can be aggressively optimized, attaining superlinear scalability while still guaranteeing, with high probability, results at least as good as those from the sequential algorithm.  相似文献
