Administered a short version of N. Kogan and M. Wallach's (see pa, vol. 39:6826) choice-dilemma test to 1,484 managers from over 200 companies. Results show a significant negative relationship between age and both risk taking and the value placed upon risk. The relationships were small in size when individual scores were correlated with age, but increased markedly when mean scores were used. Furthermore, the relationships were relatively stable across items and across companies. Developmental and sociocultural mechanisms that might underlie these findings are discussed. The single-beat reconstruction of electrical cardiac sources from body-surface electrocardiogram data might become an important issue for clinical application. The feasibility and field of application of noninvasive imaging methods strongly depend on development of stable algorithms for solving the underlying ill-posed inverse problems. We propose a novel spatiotemporal regularization approach for the reconstruction of surface transmembrane potential (TMP) patterns. Regularization is achieved by imposing linearly formulated constraints on the solution in the spatial as well as in the temporal domain. In the spatial domain an operator similar to the surface Laplacian, weighted by a regularization parameter, is used. In the temporal domain monotonic nondecreasing behavior of the potential is presumed. This is formulated as side condition without the need of any regularization parameter. Compared to presuming template functions, the weaker temporal constraint widens the field of application because it enables the reconstruction of TMP patterns with ischemic and infarcted regions. Following the line of Tikhonov regularization, but considering all time points simultaneously, we obtain a linearly constrained sparse large-scale convex optimization problem solved by a fast interior point optimizer. We demonstrate the performance with simulations by comparing reconstructed TMP patterns with the underlying reference patterns. 相似文献

Rationale and objectives: Gadomer-17 is a new magnetic resonance (MR) contrast medium presently in clinical development. It
is a dendritic gadolinium (Gd) chelate carrying 24 Gd ions. This study investigated the pharmacokinetic behavior of this contrast
medium. Methods: The pharmacokinetics of Gadomer-17 were investigated in different species (rat, rabbit, dog, monkey) for
up to 7 days after intravenous (i.v.) injection of 25–100 μmol/kg body weight. In addition, elimination and biodistribution
were evaluated after single i.v. injection of Gadomer-17 in rats. Results: After i.v. injection Gadomer-17 distributes almost
exclusively within the intravascular space without significant diffusion into the interstitial space. The volume of distribution
(Vc) in the initial or α-phase ranged from 0.04 1/kg (rats, rabbits) to 0.06 1 kg (monkeys) and 0.07 1/kg (dogs), which reflects
mainly the plasma volume. The blood/plasma concentration profile was found to be biphasic. The volume of distribution at a
steady state is clearly smaller than that of other contrast media, which distribute to the extracellular space. After single
i.v. injection in rats, the dendritic contrast medium was rapidly and completely eliminated from the body, mainly via glomerular
filtration. No long-term accumulation or retention of the nonmetabolized agent was detectable in organs or tissues. Conclusions:
Gadomer-17 is a promising new MR contrast medium that has an intravascular distribution and a rapid renal elimination. 相似文献
