Layer-by-layer (LBL) electrostatic assembly of polyelectrolytes is proving to be an increasingly rich and versatile technique for the formation of multilayered thin films with a wide range of electrical, magnetic, and optical properties. In the present work we synthesized a new non-linear optical (NLO) maleic acid copolymer containing Disperse Red 1 moieties, built-up multilayer assemblies by alternate adsorption of poly(allylamine hydrochloride) (PAH) and maleic copolymer derivative, and carried out an investigation on their second harmonic generation (SHG) properties. The resulting multilayer assemblies exhibit SHG which arises from the non-centrosymmetric alignment of the chromophores in the copolymer. The SHG signal increases with the number of chromophore-containing polymer layers, up to five layers. Further assembly reduces the signal.  相似文献

An effective numerical iteration procedure has been worked out for the analysis of the stress-strain state of a flat pipeline in a medium with allowance for possible presence of supports and branches. The governing equilibrium equations and geometrical equations used have been written in geometrically nonlinear formulation and supplemented with boundary conditions, obtained analytically for a semi-infinite pipeline under transverse-longitudinal elastic bending. The article considers an elastoplastic law of interaction between pipeline and the ground with the possibility of additional limitation of absolute pipeline displacements. The computational algorithm is based on the concepts of corrective and basic solution. Basic solution is refined in each iteration step using corrective solution. Corrective solution is direct solution of a system of linearized equations, in which, e.g., basic displacements of pipeline are used to determine forces of interaction between the pipe and the ground. The algorithm uses an efficient method of run in each iteration step, which minimizes the number of unknowns. The results of the calculations are compared with numerical and theoretical solutions presented in publications: cantilever curling by the action of end bending moment; laying of an underwater pipeline; stability loss in air, etc. __________ Translated from Problemy Prochnosti, No. 3, pp. 51–74, May–June, 2007.  相似文献

Protein entrapment has multiple applications in enzymatic hydrolysis, drug delivery, etc. Here, we report the studies that successfully utilized the Box–Behnken design to model and optimize the parameters of β-galactosidase entrapment in sol–gel-derived silica composites. We have also demonstrated the influence of polymer–polydimethylsiloxane as a composite modifying agent on the activity of entrapped enzymes. We have determined how different sol-gel process parameters influence the activity of entrapped enzymes. The highest impact on β-galactosidase activity was exerted by the water:tetramethoxysilane ratio, followed by polydimethylsiloxane content. Optimized synthesis parameters have been utilized to obtain a composite with maximum β-galactosidase activity. Performed porosity studies have shown that the addition of polydimethylsiloxane increased the pore diameter. Microscopy studies demonstrated that polydimethylsiloxane-modified composites are softer and less rough. Studies of β-galactosidase activity using the o-NPG test showed statistically significant shifts in the enzyme temperature and pH profiles compared to the soluble form. An improvement in the reusability of the enzyme and a significant increase in the thermal stability was also observed. When lactose was used, a strong correlation was observed between the substrate concentration and the type of the catalyzed reaction. Moreover, we have demonstrated that the yields and rates of both lactose hydrolysis and galactooligosaccharides formation were correlated with reaction temperature and with the presence of polydimethylsiloxane. All these findings provide the opportunity for industrial use of optimized PDMS-modified silica composites in lactose elimination from dairy products, e.g., milk or whey.  相似文献

Ru@MNP-MWCNT catalysts were obtained via functionalization of nanostructured carbon-based carriers (ie, MWCNT) with base molecules (ie, 2-aminophenol and ethylenediamine) followed by the complexation with RuCl3. These structures demonstrated a highly efficient behavior for the selective wet oxidation of levulinic acid and glucose to succinic acid. However, to ensure an easy recovery and high recyclability the MWCNTs nanotubes were modified by incorporation of super-paramagnetic Fe3O4 nanoparticles into porous structure. Besides the catalytic performances the resulted composites showed a good mechanical resistance.  相似文献

A procedure has been developed for the determination of non-ionic surfactants (NS) adsorbed on particles of alive and dead activated sludge. The procedure also enables the determination of adsorption of major biodegradation by-products: short-chained ethoxylates, long- and short-chained PEG. The basis of measurement is the determination of NS concentration in a slurry of activated sludge and in a solution phase. The difference between these two concentrations represents the NS adsorbed on activated sludge. Separation of NS and their biotransformation by-products from samples and then on narrower fractions was performed by a sequential liquid-liquid extraction and precipitation with modified Dragendorff reagent. The indirect tensammetric technique (ITT) was applied for the final determination. The developed method was checked using the example of the treatment of the surfactant C12E10 (oxyethylated fatty alcohol) (C12E10) in the continuous flow activated sludge facility. No statistically significant accumulation of C12E10 on the alive activated sludge was detected, probably because of faster C12E10 fission than its adsorption. However, significant adsorption of the short-chained ethoxylates (including free alcohol) on the alive activated sludge was found, as well as statistically significant adsorption of long- and short-chained PEG. The adsorption of surfactant C12E10 and its biodegradation by-products on dead activated sludge was found to be higher than the species adsorption on alive activated sludge.  相似文献

The aim of this study was to characterize the nutritional profile and to determine the digestibilities of nutrients in wheat‐based dried distillers' grains with solubles (DDGS) fed to growing pigs. Six ileal cannulated barrows individually housed in metabolism crates were fed experimental diets which consisted of a basal wheat‐based diet or the basal diet with wheat replaced by 400 g kg?1 mixed wheat or winter wheat DDGS in a replicated 3 × 3 Latin square design. Ileal digesta and fecal samples were collected for determining apparent ileal (AID) and apparent total tract digestibilities (ATTD), respectively. The contents of proximate components and amino acids in DDGS were about three times higher than in wheat. The AID and ATTD of dry matter, nitrogen and energy were lower (P < 0.05) in DDGS compared with wheat. The DDGS samples had lower (P < 0.05) AID of amino acids compared with wheat; average values for lysine, threonine and isoleucine in DDGS were 43.8, 62.9 and 68.0%, respectively. The ileal and fecal digestible energy content in DDGS averaged 9.7 ± 1.18 and 13.5 ± 0.61 MJ kg?1, respectively. Phthalimide (PI) and tetrahydrophthalimide (THPI) are two structurally similar compounds extensively used as intermediates for the synthesis of variety of industrial chemicals. This paper investigates the thermal decomposition of PI and THPI under oxygen rich to oxygen lean conditions, quantifying the production of toxicants and explaining their formation pathways. The experiments involved a plug flow reactor followed by silica cartridges, activated charcoal trap and a condenser, with the decomposition products identified and quantified by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) and micro gas chromatography (μGC). The density functional theory (DFT) calculations served to obtain dissociation energies and reaction pathways, to elucidate the reaction mechanism. The oxidation of PI and THPI produced several toxic nitrogen-containing gases and volatile organic compounds, including hydrogen cyanide, isocyanic acid, nitrogen oxides, benzonitrile, maleimide and tentatively identified benzenemethanimine. The detection of dibenzo-p-dioxin (DD) and dibenzofuran (DF) suggests potential formation of the toxic persistent organic pollutants (POPs) in fires involving PI and THPI, in presence of a chlorine source. The oxidation of THPI produced 2-cyclohexen-1-one, a toxic unsaturated ketone. The results of the present study provide the data for quantitative risk assessments of emissions of toxicants in combustion processes involving PI and THPI.  相似文献
