Catalytic effects of Li, Na, K and Ca carbonates on carbothermic formation of hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) were investigated. Experiments were conducted by keeping the plain and catalyst added B2O3 + C powder mixtures at 1400 °C in flowing nitrogen for 40–160 min. Products were subjected to quantitative and X-ray diffraction analyses, scanning and transmission electron microscopy examinations, and particle size measurements. Investigated catalysts increased the amount, particle size and crystallinity of the formed hBN. Average particle sizes of the obtained hBN powders were in 150–350 nm range. Catalytically, lithium and sodium carbonates were found to be the most effective, whereas calcium carbonate was the least effective. In the experiments conducted for 80 min, the quantity of the formed hBN increased 13-fold when 40 wt% Li2CO3 was used, as compared to plain mixture. The increases were ninefold and fourfold for the same duration when 40 wt% K2CO3 and 10 % CaCO3 were used, respectively. 相似文献

As a more convenient and less costly alternative to electron spin resonance (ESR) and nonspecific nitroblue tetrazolium (NBT) and cytochrome c assays of superoxide radical (SR, O(2)(?-)) detection, a novel probe, tert-butylhydroquinone (TBHQ), is introduced for SR nonenzymatically generated in the phenazine methosulfate-β-nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (PMS-NADH) system. SR attacks both TBHQ and SR scavengers incubated in solution for 30 min where scavengers compete with TBHQ for the O(2)(?-) produced. TBHQ, but not its O(2)(?-) oxidation product, tert-butyl-1,4-benzoquinone (TBBQ), is responsive to the CUPRAC (cupric reducing antioxidant capacity) spectrophotometric assay. The CUPRAC absorbance of the ethyl acetate extract of the incubation solution arising from the reduction of Cu(II)-neocuproine reagent by the remaining TBHQ was higher in the presence of O(2)(?-) scavengers (due to less conversion to TBBQ), the difference being correlated to the SR scavenging activity (SRSA) of the analytes. With the use of this reaction, a kinetic approach was adopted to assess the SRSA of amino acids, vitamins, and plasma and thiol antioxidants. This assay, applicable to small-molecule antioxidants and tissue homogenates, proved to be efficient for cysteine, uric acid, and bilirubin, for which the widely used NBT test is nonresponsive. Thus, conventional problems of NBT assay arising from formazan insolubility and direct reduction of NBT by tested scavengers were overcome. 相似文献

Produced water, which is co-produced during oil and gas manufacturing, represents one of the largest sources of oily wastewaters. Therefore, treatment of this produced water may improve the economic viability and lead to a new source of water for beneficial use. In this study a submerged hollow fiber membrane bioreactor (MBR) has been studied experimentally for the treatment of brackish oil and natural gas field produced water. This type of wastewater is also characterized with relatively moderate to high amount of salt, oil and total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH). However, the bacteria which are growing in conventional activated sludge and MBR cannot survive at these strict conditions, therefore acclimation of the bacteria is of vital importance. The performance of the biological system, membrane permeability, the rate and extent of TPH biodegradability have been investigated under different sludge age and F/M ratios. The results obtained by gas chromatography analyses showed that the MBR system could be very effective in the removal of TPH from produced water and a significant improvement in the effluent quality was achieved. 相似文献

To provide a safe and productive environment, project managers need to plan for the work spaces required by construction activities. Work space planning involves representing various types of spaces required by construction activities in three dimensions and across time. Since a construction schedule consists of hundreds of activities requiring multiple types of spaces, it is practically impossible to expect project managers to specify manually the spatiotemporal data necessary to represent work spaces in four dimensions. This paper presents mechanisms that automatically generate project-specific work spaces from a generic work space ontology and a project-specific IFC (industry foundation class) based 4D production model. The generation of these work spaces leads to a space-loaded production model. Within this model, work spaces are represented as being related to the relevant construction activities and methods and as having attributes that describe when, where, and how long they exist, and how much volume they occupy. These space-loaded production models enable richer 4D CAD simulations, time-space conflict analysis, and proactive work space planning prior to construction. 相似文献

This study compared the effect of different adhesive systems and composite resins on the shear bond strength (SBS) of repaired high-viscosity bulk-fill composites(Tetric EvoCeram Bulk Fill) and investigated failure modes. One hundred twenty cylindrical bulk-fill composite blocks (diameter 5?mm) were fabricated and thermocycled for 5000 cycles (5–55?°C). Specimens were roughened by diamond bur and divided into 8 groups (n?=?15). Bulk-fill blocks were repaired with the same material or nanohybrid composite resin(Tetric EvoCeram Nanohybrid) (diameter 3?mm) using different adhesive systems:Tetric N-Bond Universal (TSE);37% phosphoric acid etching?+?Tetric N-Bond Universal (TER); Clearfil SE Bond (CSE); 37% phosphoric acid etching?+?AdperTMSingle Bond 2(SB). After repair procedures, all specimens were thermocycled again. The shear bond strengths were measured for all specimens using a universal test machine (crosshead speed of 1?mm/min). Cohesive strengths of bulk-fill composites were measured and described as control group. Debonded surfaces were observed with a stereomicroscope under 10x magnification to determine mode of failure. The SBS data of all groups was statistically analyzed by two-way ANOVA and Bonferroni correction test (p?<?0.05). The specimens repaired with bulk-fill composites showed significantly higher SBS values (25.86?±?5.74, 27.05?±?4.93, 24.49?±?6.95MPa) than those with nanohybrid composites (20.41?±?3.70, 22.08?±?6.37, 18.74?±?6.40?MPa) for TER,CSE,SB, respectively (p?<?0.05). There were no significant differences in SBS according to the type of adhesive systems for both repair materials (p?>?0.05). The predominant mode of failure was a mixed type in the restorative material except for the ones repaired with nanohybrid composites using AdperTMSingle Bond 2. High-viscosity bulk-fill composites could be successfully repaired with the same materials. SBS of repaired bulk-fill composites reached cohesive strength for all tested groups. 相似文献

This paper systematically explores the effects of firms’ innovation activities on their productivity changes for Turkish manufacturing firms, differentiating between different typologies of innovation. We employ endogenous switching methodology, controlling for endogeneity and selection bias issues, as well as analysing counterfactual scenarios. The main finding of the study points to firm heterogeneity in terms of propensity both to innovate and to benefit from innovation activities. Our results indicate that all types of innovation activity have positive effects on the productivity of firms when compared with non-innovating firms. We find robust evidence for the differential impact of innovation on firm productivity across different innovation types. Further, this relationship alters across different phases of the economy with respect to the 2008 financial crisis. 相似文献

In this study, novel polyethersulfone (PES) and poly(trimethoxysilyl) propyl methacrylate (PMPS) containing hybrid materials were prepared. PES was functionalized with trimethoxysilane groups by UV‐induced grafting reaction. PMPS was synthesized by atom transfer radical polymerization. In the followed process, the functionalized PES mixed with different amount of PMPS, thermally treated to promote sol–gel crosslinking process to prepare the PES‐based hybrid materials. The trimethoxysilane grafted PES chains are covalently bonded with the well‐defined trimethoxysilane groups of PMPS. The chemical structure of the prepared PES and PMPS is confirmed by Fourier transform infrared analysis. The morphology of the hybrids was investigated by scanning electron microscopy. The results of thermogravimetric analysis show that the thermal stability of the hybrid materials was significantly affected with the addition of PMPS. POLYM. ENG.
