Solidus temperatures of the B2 NiAl phase have been determined by high-temperature differential thermal analysis for binary melt compositions NixAl100−x (45<x<57) and for ternary alloys FeyNi50−yAl50 (0≤y≤50). It was shown that the melting temperature of the stoichiometric Ni50Al50 phase is 1681 °C, which is 43 K higher than some literature data. The solidus line at the Ni-rich side of the Ni-Al phase diagram exhibits a steeper slope than that reported previously. Substituting Fe for Ni, the decrease of solidus temperature along the isoplethal section with 50 at.% Al of the ternary Ni-Fe-Al phase diagram exhibits a steep initial slope of −13 K/at.% Fe for small Fe-fractions, which changes into a nearly linear decrease with an average slope of −8.5 K/at.% Fe.  相似文献

Cyclic and isothermal oxidation behavior on some Ni-Cr alloys   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Additions of 3 wt.% Mn and 3 wt.% Si were made to Ni-20Cr. These alloys, along with Ni-20Cr and Ni-40Cr were oxidized for 100 1-hr cycles at 1100°C and 50 1-hr cycles at 1200° C. Oxidation behavior was judged by sample weight and thickness change, metallography, x-ray diffraction, and electron microprobe analysis. These tests showed that Ni-40Cr and Ni-20Cr-3Si were about the same and were the most oxidation-resistant alloys. Ni-20Cr-3Mn was not as oxidation resistant, especially at 1200° C. Ni-20Cr was far less oxidation resistant than any of the other alloys. The Ni-40Cr and Ni-20Cr-3Si relied on a protective layer of Cr2O3 for their oxidation resistance. A SiO2 layer was noted beneath the Cr2O3 layer on the Ni-20Cr-3Si, but had apparently only a second-order effect. The source of improved protection of the Ni-20Cr-3Mn was apparently the formation of a relatively adherent MnCr2O4 layer at the metal-oxide interface.  相似文献

The evolution of the profile of nanometer sized water drops on a mica surface has been studied through hydration scanning probe microscopy. A time range from a few seconds down to a fraction of millisecond after the formation of the drop has been explored. This high time resolution has been obtained by sampling a series of statistically equivalent drops. This approach also avoids any probe interference during the drop evolution process.  相似文献

METIS-II was an EU-FET MT project running from October 2004 to September 2007, which aimed at translating free text input without resorting to parallel corpora. The idea was to use “basic” linguistic tools and representations and to link them with patterns and statistics from the monolingual target-language corpus. The METIS-II project has four partners, translating from their “home” languages Greek, Dutch, German, and Spanish into English. The paper outlines the basic ideas of the project, their implementation, the resources used, and the results obtained. It also gives examples of how METIS-II has continued beyond its lifetime and the original scope of the project. On the basis of the results and experiences obtained, we believe that the approach is promising and offers the potential for development in various directions.  相似文献

Epitaxial YBa2Cu3O7– thin films (YBCO) and YBa2Cu3O7– /PrBa2Cu3O7– multilayers (Y/Pr) were irradiated with high-energy heavy ions (770 Mev208Pb) under various directions relative to thec-axis. The irradiation resulted in columnar defects tilted by from thec-axis. The angular dependence of their pinning activity was studied by measuring the anisotropy of the critical current density. TheJ c (B, T,) behavior of the irradiated YBCO thin films showed an additional peak, which exceeds the intrinsic pinning peak, exactly at the irradiation direction. The Y/Pr multilayers, however, showed an isotropicT c -enhancement by a factor of 5, without any additional structure in theJ c(B, T,) curve.  相似文献

Multiply charged electroactive anions [IrCl 6 2– , Fe(CN) 6 3– , and W(CN) 8 4– ] are electrostatically incorporated in polymeric films of tris(4-vinyl-4-methyl-2,2-bipyridine) ruthenium(II) [poly-Ru(vbpy) 3 2+ ] from aqueous trifluoroacetate solution. Values of apparent diffusion coefficients (D ct) and heterogenous electron transfer rates (k et) are measured for these anions as a function of their relative concentration ( M/ Ru) in the film.D ct andk et decrease systematically as M/ Ru increases in a manner that is independent of charge and chemical identity of the ion. This result suggests that a nonchemical process, presumably electrostatic cross-linking, limits diffusional motion and is responsible for the decrease inD ct andk et with increasing anion content. Protonated polyvinyl-pyridine films exhibit similar ranges and variations inD ct andk et, which suggest similar structures and mechanisms of charge transport for these films and poly-Ru(vbpy) 3 2+ .  相似文献

A combined experimental–computational methodology for accelerated design of AlNiCo-type permanent magnetic alloys is presented with the objective of simultaneously extremizing several magnetic properties. Chemical concentrations of eight alloying elements were initially generated using a quasi-random number generator so as to achieve a uniform distribution in the design variable space. It was followed by manufacture and experimental evaluation of these alloys using an identical thermo-magnetic protocol. These experimental data were used to develop meta-models capable of directly relating the chemical composition with desired macroscopic properties of the alloys. These properties were simultaneously optimized to predict chemical compositions that result in improvement of properties. These data were further utilized to discover various correlations within the experimental dataset by using several concepts of artificial intelligence. In this work, an unsupervised neural network known as self-organizing maps was used to discover various patterns reported in the literature. These maps were also used to screen the composition of the next set of alloys to be manufactured and tested in the next iterative cycle. Several of these Pareto-optimized predictions out-performed the initial batch of alloys. This approach helps significantly reducing the time and the number of alloys needed in the alloy development process.  相似文献

An exploratory, comparative survey design was used to describe and compare similarities and differences in perception of caring behaviors between hospitalized antepartum and short-stay postpartum patients. Forty-two patients completed the 63-item Caring Behavior Assessment instrument (CBA). The scale, based on Watson's theory of caring, contains seven categories. There were no statistically significant differences in age, education, gravida, or para between the two groups. Significantly more women in the postpartum group were married. There were no statistically significant differences or correlations in the total CBA scores and the demographic variables. No statistically significant differences in total CBA scores were found between antepartum participants and postpartum participants. These findings corroborate the results of "caring" studies in other patient populations, that satisfying basic needs--that is, evidence of technical knowledge and skills--is more important to patients than meeting higher order needs.  相似文献
