The residue from a hydroalcoholic extract of the mushroom Agaricus blazei (MAR) was evaluated for phenolic compounds, flavonoids and antioxidant activity. The ability of MAR to slow the oxidation of Omega‐3 resulting from light exposure in milk matrix, and its bioavailability after in vitro digestion was investigated. MAR presented phenolic compounds and flavonoids and showed antioxidant activity. At each concentration, addition of MAR to Omega‐3‐supplemented milk inhibited the production of conjugated dienes and malonaldehyde compared with samples without MAR. The bioavailability assay showed that polyphenols were still present after in vitro digestion and had antioxidant activity.  相似文献

BACKGROUND: This paper reports the results of an experimental campaign of autotrophic cultures of Stichococcus strains aiming at selecting the most promising strain for biofuel production. The strain selected—S. bacillaris 158/11—was cultivated in 1 L lab‐scale bubble column photobioreactors under fed‐batch and semi‐continuous conditions. A Bold basal medium supplemented with NaNO3 as nitrogen source was adopted. Tests were carried out at 23 °C, 140 µE m?2 s?1, and air flow rate ranging between 0.4 and 4 vvm. Cultures were characterized in terms of pH, concentration of total nitrogen, total organic carbon, total inorganic carbon, biomass, lipid fraction and methyl‐ester distribution of transesterified lipids. RESULTS: S. bacillaris 158/11 proved to be the best strain to produce biodiesel. Methyl‐ester distribution was characterized by a large fraction of methyl palmitate, methyl linolenate, methyl linoleate, and methyl oleate along with phytol. The process photosynthetic efficiency—fraction of available light stored as chemical energy ‐ was about 1.5%. Specific biomass productivity was ~60 mgDM L?1 day?1 under the semi‐continuous conditions tested. Total lipid productivity was 14 mg L?1 day?1 at a dilution rate of 0.050 L day?1. CONCLUSION: S. bacillaris 158/11 is a potential strain for massive microalgae cultures for biofuel production. Higher biomass/total‐lipid productivity could be obtained in sunlight. The nutritional quality of protein hydrolysates has been related in several reports to their di- and tripeptide contents. In the present work different hydrolytic conditions were tested using papain in order to prepare casein hydrolysates with a suitable peptide profile for being used in special diets. The hydrolysates were fractionated by size-exclusion HPLC and the rapid Correct Fraction Area method was used for quantifying the peptides. Among the five hydrolytic conditions studied, three of them gave rise to preparations having nutritionally similar peptide profiles. However, the use of the temperature of 37 degrees C and enzyme:substrate ratio (E:S) of 2% may probably be the most economical condition for industrial production.  相似文献

The structural selectivity of the DNA-binding antitumor drug ditercalinium was investigated by competition dialysis with a series of nineteen different DNA substrates. The 7H-pyridocarbazole dimer was found to bind to double-stranded DNA with a preference for GC-rich species but can in addition form stable complexes with triplex and quadruplex structures. The preferential interaction of the drug with four-stranded DNA structures was independently confirmed by electrospray mass spectrometry and a detailed analysis of the binding reaction was performed by surface plasmon resonance (SPR) spectroscopy. The BIAcore SPR study showed that the kinetic parameters for the interaction of ditercalinium with the human telomeric quadruplex sequence are comparable to those measured with a duplex sequence. Slow association and dissociation were observed with both the quadruplex and duplex structures. The newly discovered preferential binding of ditercalinium to the antiparallel quadruplex sequence d(AG(3)[T(2)AG(3)](3)) provides new perspectives for the design of drugs that can bind to human telomeres.  相似文献

Rutile single crystals were implanted at room temperature with fluences of 5 × 1015 Er+/cm2 ions with 150 keV energy. Rutherford backscattering/channeling along the 0 0 1 axis reveals complete amorphization of the implanted region. Photoluminescence reveals the presence of an optical centre close to the intra-ionic emission of Er3+ in the as-implanted samples. After annealing at 800 °C in air no changes were observed in the aligned RBS spectrum. On the contrary, annealing in reducing atmosphere (vacuum) induces the epitaxy of the damage layer. These results are unexpected, since for implantations of other ions under the same conditions, epitaxial recrystallization of the damage region occurs at this temperature. On the other hand, photoluminescence studies show the presence of new Er-related optical centres with high thermal stability in the samples annealed under oxidizing conditions. Annealing at 1000 °C in vacuum leads to the complete recrystallization of the damaged region. At this temperature a large fraction of Er segregates to the surface.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate how Lafont's interaction combinators, a system of three symbols and six interaction rules, can be used to encode linear logic. Specifically, we give a translation of the multiplicative, exponential, and additive fragments of linear logic together with a strategy for cut-elimination which can be faithfully simulated. Finally, we show briefly how this encoding can be used for evaluating λ-terms. In addition to offering a very simple, perhaps the simplest, system of rewriting for linear logic and the λ-calculus, the interaction net implementation that we present has been shown by experimental testing to offer a good level of sharing in terms of the number of cut-elimination steps (resp. β-reduction steps). In particular it performs better than all extant finite systems of interaction nets.  相似文献

A neural-network-based implementation of space-vector modulation (SVM) of a three-level voltage-fed inverter is proposed in this paper that fully covers the linear undermodulation region. A neural network has the advantage of very fast implementation of an SVM algorithm, particularly when a dedicated application-specific IC chip is used instead of a digital signal processor (DSP). A three-level inverter has a large number of switching states compared to a two-level inverter and, therefore, the SVM algorithm to be implemented in a neural network is considerably more complex. In the proposed scheme, a three-layer feedforward neural network receives the command voltage and angle information at the input and generates symmetrical pulsewidth modulation waves for the three phases with the help of a single timer and simple logic circuits. The artificial-neural-network (ANN)-based modulator distributes switching states such that neutral-point voltage is balanced in an open-loop manner. The frequency and voltage can be varied from zero to full value in the whole undermodulation range. A simulated DSP-based modulator generates the data which are used to train the network by a backpropagation algorithm in the MATLAB Neural Network Toolbox. The performance of an open-loop volts/Hz speed-controlled induction motor drive has been evaluated with the ANN-based modulator and compared with that of a conventional DSP-based modulator, and shows excellent performance. The modulator can be easily applied to a vector-controlled drive, and its performance can be extended to the overmodulation region  相似文献

Universality for deterministic Timed Automata (TA) is PSPACE-complete but becomes highly undecidable when unrestricted nondeterminism is allowed. More precisely, universality for nondeterministic TA is Π11-hard and it is still open whether it is π11-complete. It is interesting to note that the entire arithmetical hierarchy is contained in this computability gap between determinism and nondeterminism. In this paper we consider three types of syntactical restrictions to nondeterministic TA, which may contribute to a better understanding of the universality problem for TA. For the first two types, which are of independent interest, the universality problem is shown to be Π11-complete. For the third one, universality is Π10-complete, which is the same as saying that the complementary problem is complete in the recursively enumerable class. We also show that all the restrictions define proper subclasses of the class of timed languages defined by nondeterministic TA; and establish the relationships between the classes.  相似文献
