The Virgo interferometer, aimed at detecting gravitational waves, is now in a commissioning phase. Measurements of its optical properties are needed for the understanding of the instrument. The relaxations of natural rubber (NR)/poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) interpenetrating polymer networks (IPNs) were studied using dynamic mechanical analysis, electron spin resonance (ESR) and solid state NMR spectroscopy. Samples with a lower concentration of PMMA in IPNs (25 wt%) showed only one relaxation, which corresponds to NR with a slight shift to higher temperature. IPNs with 35 wt% of PMMA showed very broad transitions arising from β‐ and α‐relaxations in PMMA, with the β‐relaxation slightly shifted to lower temperature. These compositions also showed a higher modulus at all temperatures. Highly phase separated IPNs showed a complete drop of modulus at 423 K. Higher crosslinking in the NR phase increases the miscibility and decreases the temperature difference between transitions, while in PMMA it increases the phase separation and does not affect the β‐relaxation of the PMMA chains. The ESR results showed that PMMA chains located in the PMMA‐rich and NR‐rich domains have different motional characteristics. The strong interaction between PMMA and NR chains was also observed by carbonyl relaxation in solid state NMR spectra. Effects of mineral oil (MO), chitosan solution (CH) and their emulsions (MO:CH = 75:25, 50:50, and 25:75 ratios) as coating materials in preserving internal quality of eggs were evaluated during a 5‐weeks storage at 25 °C. Consumers (n = 109) evaluated surface properties and purchase intent of freshly coated eggs. As storage time increased, Haugh unit and yolk index values decreased whereas weight loss increased. Noncoated eggs rapidly changed from AA to B and C grades after 1 and 3 weeks, respectively. However, all emulsion‐coated eggs maintained their A‐grade quality for 4 weeks. Compared with noncoated eggs, all emulsion coatings reduced weight loss of eggs by at least seven times (0.88–1.03% vs. 7.14%). Only MO:CH = 25:75 emulsion‐coated eggs were not sensorially glossier than noncoated eggs. All emulsion‐coated eggs had >80% positive purchase intent and were negative for Salmonella. This study demonstrated that MO:CH emulsion coatings preserved internal quality and prolonged shelf life of eggs.  相似文献

The magnitude optimum (MO) method provides a relatively fast and non-oscillatory closed-loop tracking response for a large class of process models frequently encountered in the process and chemical industries. However, the deficiency of the method is poor disturbance rejection performance of some processes. In this paper, disturbance rejection performance of the PID controller is improved by applying the“disturbance rejection magnitude optimum” (DRMO) optimisation method, while the tracking performance has been improved by a set-point weighting and set-point filtering PID controller structure. The DRMO tuning method requires numerical optimisation for the calculation of PID controller parameters. The method was applied to two different 2-degrees-of-freedom PID controllers and has been tested on several different representatives of process models and one laboratory set-up. A comparison with some other tuning methods has shown that the proposed tuning method, with a set-point filtering PID controller, is quite efficient in improving disturbance rejection performance, while retaining tracking performance comparable with the original MO method.  相似文献

Concept map is a graphical tool for representing knowledge. They have been used in many different areas, including education, knowledge management, business and intelligence. Constructing of concept maps manually can be a complex task; an unskilled person may encounter difficulties in determining and positioning concepts relevant to the problem area. An application that recommends concept candidates and their position in a concept map can significantly help the user in that situation. This paper gives an overview of different approaches to automatic and semi-automatic creation of concept maps from textual and non-textual sources. The concept map mining process is defined, and one method suitable for the creation of concept maps from unstructured textual sources in highly inflected languages such as the Croatian language is described in detail. Proposed method uses statistical and data mining techniques enriched with linguistic tools. With minor adjustments, that method can also be used for concept map mining from textual sources in other morphologically rich languages.  相似文献

Modeling the PAO-GAO competition: Effects of carbon source, pH and temperature   总被引:11,自引:0,他引:11  
The influence of different carbon sources (acetate to propionate ratios), temperature and pH levels on the competition between polyphosphate- and glycogen-accumulating organisms (PAO and GAO, respectively) was evaluated using a metabolic model that incorporated the carbon source, temperature and pH dependences of these microorganisms. The model satisfactorily described the bacterial activity of PAO (Accumulibacter) and GAO (Competibacter and Alphaproteobacteria-GAO) laboratory-enriched cultures cultivated on propionate (HPr) and acetate (HAc) at standard conditions (20 °C and pH 7.0). Using the calibrated model, the effects of different influent HAc to HPr ratios (100-0, 75-25, 50-50 and 0-100%), temperatures (10, 20 and 30 °C) and pH levels (6.0, 7.0 and 7.5) on the competition among Accumulibacter, Competibacter and Alphaproteobacteria-GAO were evaluated. The main aim was to assess which conditions were favorable for the existence of PAO and, therefore, beneficial for the biological phosphorus removal process in sewage treatment plants. At low temperature (10 °C), PAO were the dominant microorganisms regardless of the used influent carbon source or pH. At moderate temperature (20 °C), PAO dominated the competition when HAc and HPr were simultaneously supplied (75-25 and 50-50% HAc to HPr ratios). However, the use of either HAc or HPr as sole carbon source at 20 °C was not favorable for PAO unless a high pH was used (7.5). Meanwhile, at higher temperature (30 °C), GAO tended to be the dominant microorganisms. Nevertheless, the combined presence of acetate and propionate in the influent (75-25 and 50-50% HAc to HPr ratios) as well as a high pH (7.5) appear to be potential factors to favor the metabolism of PAO over GAO at higher sewage temperature (30 °C).  相似文献

A new egg product was recommended for bakery goods requiring high foaming capacity and stability such as sponge cake. Aerating of eggs was stabilised by sugaring at a rate of one part of sugar to two parts of eggs, followed by pasteurization and evaporation to yield a concentrated product of 69–70% total soluble solids. Two new bands appeared in the electrophoretic pattern of eggs after pasteurization and evaporation, which could be used as an evaluation for heat treatment of eggs. The concentrated liquid eggs maintained their foaming properties upon storage for a long period at room temperature. The free fatty acids, peroxide value and thiobarbaturic acid value started to increase in the product after three months of storage. Microbiological examination indicated that it was free of Salmonellae.  相似文献

The amplitude spectra of roundness profiles were investigated for sets of differently machined surfaces and a mathematical model for the roundness of machined parts dependent on the process used was developed. The minimum number of Fourier harmonics needed to characterize the roundness profile was established. The analysis was further condensed to describe the characterization of the profile associated with a given process in terms of an average undulation number together with an average amplitude.  相似文献
