The FIPA Agent Communication Language includes a library of communicative acts supporting generic types of social interaction, such as information exchange and action performing. However, when developing specific applications, it is desirable to support agent interaction by means of more expressive constructs. In this paper, a structured approach to the design of communicative act libraries is put forward, which takes into account both the criteria of reusability and expressiveness. A linguistic approach is taken to ensure the expressiveness requirement. The proposal is illustrated by the design of an advisory sub-catalogue of reusable communicative acts.  相似文献

External and internal quality parameters were measured in oranges (Citrus sinensis (L.) Osbeck cv. “Powell Summer Navel”) during on-tree ripening and at harvest using near-infrared reflectance (NIR) spectroscopy. The performance of two NIRS instruments was evaluated: a handheld microelectromechanical system spectrophotometer working in the 1,600- to 2,400-nm range, and a diode array visible–NIR spectrophotometer working in the 380- to 1,700-nm range. Spectra and analytical data were used to construct MPLS prediction models for quantifying weight, size (equatorial and axial diameters), color (L*, a*, b*, C*, h*, and color index), texture (firmness and maximum penetration force), yield (pericarp thickness, juice weight, and juice content), and chemical parameters (soluble solids content, pH, titratable acidity, and maturity index). Both instruments yielded promising results for on-tree and at-harvest quality measurements, but models constructed using the diode array instrument provided greater predictive capacity, particularly for fruit size (equatorial and axial diameters) and total soluble solids content. Subsequent evaluation of the LOCAL algorithm revealed that it increased the predictive capacity of models constructed for all the main parameters tested. These results confirm that noninvasive NIRS technology can be used to simultaneously evaluate external and internal quality parameters in intact oranges both during on-tree ripening and at harvest, thus making it easier for farmers to monitor the ripening process and also to optimize harvest timing in order to meet the demands of the citrus-fruit industry.  相似文献

New processes under development for producing hydrogen have been assessed using a life cycle methodology and compared to conventional ones. The aim of this paper is to determine the main obstacles to be beaten or the critical aspects to be addressed to ensure the feasibility of these processes. Water photosplitting, solar two-step thermochemical cycles and automaintained methane decomposition with different lay-outs were studied. They have been compared to methane steam reforming with CCS and electrolysis with different electricity sources.  相似文献

We have studied experimentally jump-to-contact (JC) and jump-out-of-contact (JOC) phenomena in gold electrodes. JC can be observed at first contact when two metals approach each other, while JOC occurs in the last contact before breaking. When the indentation depth between the electrodes is limited to a certain value of conductance, a highly reproducible behaviour in the evolution of the conductance can be obtained for hundreds of cycles of formation and rupture. Molecular dynamics simulations of this process show how the two metallic electrodes are shaped into tips of a well-defined crystallographic structure formed through a mechanical annealing mechanism. We report a detailed analysis of the atomic configurations obtained before contact and rupture of these stable structures and obtained their conductance using first-principles quantum transport calculations. These results help us understand the values of conductance obtained experimentally in the JC and JOC phenomena and improve our understanding of atomic-sized contacts and the evolution of their structural characteristics.  相似文献

Based on the assumption of true moving bed processes it was demonstrated that integration of a racemization reaction into a continuous chromatographic process can improve the production of single enantiomers. In view of possible practical implementations, the analysis is extended to more realistic simulated moving bed (SMB) processes. Superstructures of SMB‐based systems are defined that reflect the three general concepts of flow sheet, partial, and total process integration. Process candidates are generated by simultaneously optimizing process structure and operating conditions. Optimal process setups are determined under idealized conditions as a function of the purity requirement. The best performance is achieved by fully integrated processes. These are compared under more realistic conditions to units with side reactors. The results indicate that a simple fully integrated SMB system with three zones is a particularly promising new process option. The new concept is investigated in detail to identify relevant practical aspects.  相似文献

A new segmentation-based lossless compression method is proposed for colour images. The method exploits the correlation existing among the three colour planes by treating each pixel as a vector of three components, and performing region growing and difference operations using the vectors. The vaccinia virus 14-kDa protein (encoded by the A27L gene) plays an important role in the biology of the virus, acting in virus-to-cell and cell-to-cell fusions. The protein is located on the surface of the intracellular mature virus form and is essential for both the release of extracellular enveloped virus from the cells and virus spread. Sequence analysis predicts the existence of four regions in this protein: a structureless region from amino acids 1 to 28, a helical region from residues 29 to 37, a triple coiled-coil helical region from residues 44 to 72, and a Leu zipper motif at the C terminus. Circular dichroism spectroscopy, analytical ultracentrifugation, and chemical cross-linking studies of the purified wild-type protein and several mutant forms, lacking one or more of the above regions or with point mutations, support the above-described structural division of the 14-kDa protein. The two contiguous cysteine residues at positions 71 and 72 are not responsible for the formation of 14-kDa protein trimers. The location of hydrophobic residues at the a and d positions on a helical wheel and of charged amino acids in adjacent positions, e and g, suggests that the hydrophobic and ionic interactions in the triple coiled-coil helical region are involved in oligomer formation. This conjecture was supported by the construction of a three-helix bundle model and molecular dynamics. Binding assays with purified proteins expressed in Escherichia coli and cytoplasmic extracts from cells infected with a virus that does not produce the 14-kDa protein during infection (VVindA27L) show that the 21-kDa protein (encoded by the A17L gene) is the specific viral binding partner and identify the putative Leu zipper, the predicted third alpha-helix on the C terminus of the 14-kDa protein, as the region involved in protein binding. These findings were confirmed in vivo, following transfection of animal cells with plasmid vectors expressing mutant forms of the 14-kDa protein and infected with VVindA27L. We find the structural organization of 14kDa to be similar to that of other fusion proteins, such as hemagglutinin of influenza virus and gp41 of human immunodeficiency virus, except for the presence of a protein-anchoring domain instead of a transmembrane domain. Based on our observations, we have established a structural model of the 14-kDa protein.  相似文献
