Compared the influence of naturalistic social behaviors and nonbehavioral variables on the development of peer status in 49 previously unfamiliar boys, aged 6–12 yrs. 25 boys with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and 24 comparison boys participated. Physical attractiveness, motor competence, intelligence, and academic achievement constituted the nonbehavioral variables; social behaviors included noncompliance, aggression, prosocial actions, and isolation, measured by live observations of classroom and playground interactions. As early as the first day of interaction, ADHD and comparison Ss displayed differences in social behaviors, and the ADHD Ss were overwhelmingly rejected. Whereas prosocial behavior independently predicted friendship ratings during the 1st wk, the magnitude of prediction was small. OBJECTIVE: Spontaneous spinal epidural hematoma (SSEH) is an idiopathic accumulation of blood in the vertebral epidural space without identifiable predisposing factors. First reported in 1869, the clinical outcome in children younger than 18 years old has not been clearly delineated. DESIGN: A comprehensive review of the English language literature revealed 26 patients younger than 18 years old with reported clinical outcomes. The 27th case is presented. RESULTS: Complete neurologic recovery occurred in 14 of 27 (52%) patients, partial recovery in 12 of 27 (44%) patients, and death in 1 of 27 (4%) patients. CONCLUSION: There is an overall good prognosis for neurologic recovery in children who experience SSEH. 相似文献

The objective of the present work was to join reaction-bonded silicon carbide to Inconel 600 (IN600, a nickel-based superalloy) for use in high temperature applications by brazing with an Fe-20wt% alloy. This joining method resulted in the molten filler metal reacting with the IN600 to form a Ni-Fe-Si solution, which in turn formed a liquid with the free silicon phase of the RBSC. This liquid reacted vigorously with the SiC component of the RBSC to form low melting point phases in both starting materials and chromium carbides at the metal-ceramic interface. By using solution thermodynamics, it was shown that a Ni-Fe-Si liquid with equimolar nickel and iron contents and silicon content of less than 30 at% Si will decompose -SiC at the experimental brazing temperatures; it was also shown that these predictions agree with the experimentally observed microstructures and line composition profiles. 相似文献

Trace metals in hydrogen peroxide and high-purity water, used in wet cleaning of wafers, is correlated to the metallic contamination of the wafer surface since metal contamination adversely impacts IC device yield. Hydrogen peroxide with different level of trace metals, ranging from 100 ppt level to 10 ppb level, is used in the experiment to determine the level of selected metal deposition on the silicon surface. Significant amounts of these trace metallic impurities can be removed by subsequent treatment of the silicon wafer by an acidified solution of water. Contamination of a wafer surface by sodium is also correlated to the level of sodium present in deionized water used in the final rinsing of the wafer. The threshold and mechanism for metal deposition for various metals on wafer surfaces are different. This information is useful in determining purity requirements for process chemicals and improving the wet cleaning process for the next generation of semiconductor devices. 相似文献

The catalytic performance of cobalt catalysts supported on γ-Al2O3, TiO2, ZrO2 were studied for bio-ethanol steam reforming (BESR) reaction. The supported catalysts (10 wt%Co) were prepared by impregnation and characterized through Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), H2 chemisorption, laser Raman Spectroscopy, Diffuse Reflectance Infrared Fourier Transform Spectroscopy (DRIFTS), and temperature-programmed reaction (TPRxn). The metallic cobalt sites were found to correlate with the BESR reaction activity. The reaction and H2 chemisorption showed that ZrO2 supported catalyst showed the best dispersion and best catalytic activity. Over the 10% Co/ZrO2 catalyst, using a H2O:EtOH:inert molar ratio of 10:1:75 and a GHSV = 5000 h−1, 100% ethanol conversion and a yield of 5.5 mol H2/mol EtOH were obtained at 550 °C and atmospheric pressure. 相似文献

Joining of sintered Si3 N4 was performed using a high-temperature brazing technique. Ni-based brazing alloys having the same Ni:Cr ratio as AWS BNi-5 (Ni·18Cr·19Si (at. %)) but different Si content were used as the brazing filler metals. Joining experiments were performed at 1220°C under a N2 partial pressure of 15 Pa for different times between 5 to 15 min. The highest room-temperature four-point bend strength of the joints was 115 MPa, whereas 220 MPa was achieved when the joints were tested at 900°C. The high strength of the experimental joints was attributed to the reduction in residual stresses and formation of a CrN reaction layer at the ceramic/filler metal interface. 相似文献

Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):polystyrene sulfonate (PEDOT:PSS) has been one of the most established hole transport layers (HTL) in organic solar cells (OSCs) for several decades. However, the presence of PSS− ions is known to deteriorate device performance via a number of mechanisms including diffusion to the HTL-active layer interface and unwanted local chemical reactions. In this study, it is shown that PSS− ions can also result in local p-doping in the high efficiency donor:non-fullerene acceptor blends – resulting in photocurrent loss. To address these issues, a facile and effective approach is reported to improve the OSC performance through a two-component hole transport layer (HTL) consisting of a self-assembled monolayer of 2PACz ([2-(9H-Carbazol-9-yl)ethyl]phosphonic acid) and PEDOT:PSS. The power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 17.1% using devices with PEDOT:PSS HTL improved to 17.7% when the PEDOT:PSS/2PACz two-component HTL is used. The improved performance is attributed to the overlaid 2PACz layer preventing the formation of an intermixed p-doped PSS− ion rich region (≈5–10 nm) at the bulk heterojunction-HTL contact interface, resulting in decreased recombination losses and improved stability. Moreover, the 2PACz monolayer is also found to reduce electrical shunts that ultimately yield improved performance in large area devices with PCE enhanced from 12.3% to 13.3% in 1 cm2 cells. 相似文献
